A few bolts, some sleeve set combinations, and many, many yards of vintage kimono fabric salvaged from kimono that failed the test of time, but still have a lot to offer.  We cut around the blemishes and assembled one-yard (or longer) remnants that still have a lot of life in them. 

Lots of shibori, some ikat, some yukata cottons....We hope you find something to inspire your next textile project!

Simple and Striking 

Three different lengths of three different vintage Japanese kimono fabrics - so simple and easily done, with such an artistic impact. One of our customers (CM) agreed to let us post this photo to demonstrate how to create a beautiful display that focuses on the kimono fabric and doesn’t require advanced sewing skills.

Our Japanique Bow Ties are made from vintage Japanese kimono fabric. We only make a small batch of bow ties from the same fabric, so when it’s sold out, it’s gone. This bow tie is a smooth, crispy black silk and features a thin-lined plaid design in green, yellow, and red. The neck strap is ¾” wide grosgrain ribbon that is adjustable from 11” to 21”.
