i was going to give him a black beak bc it looks cool but i'm pretty sure they're white irl so if i wanna be accurate i can't 😭

the black sclera is also mostly bc it looks cool but i have a hc that it can happen sometimes and black sclera in inklings isn't as uncommon as one might think and i'm not sure whether or not to keep it but i really like it

i think either one or both make him look 10x edgier and that's ALWAYS going to be a positive in my book especially for the xblood. it's so much fun to lean into the edginess and its what they deserve

i did try to be accurate but if it wasn't obvious already i did take a ton of creative liberties LMAO thinking of how to incorporate weird deep sea squid anatomy into splatoon inklings is harder than it seems apparently
