Sort of a meta-answer: @tiefling-ocs consistently finds so many small artists out there and has been lovely for my own education ^_^

Less meta answers. I follow some smaller art blogs that are pretty active. Here's a few that come to mind:

@shinigami--apples doing lifegiving work in the protoss fandom

@pashdrawing is really hitting a groove with creative character designs

@eidolonartt has some OC's that are absolutely being slept on (ULRICH PLEASE)

@kapitein-oranghien-29 cannot be beaten for plus size hairy guys

I love @vinetabris's demon boy so so much but he's got a few more fun folks in the archive

@sheepwave-nsfw leans more heavily into drone than monster per se but it's still critically underrated

I definitely don't see as much writing from smaller blogs with my follows (well, I'd put you in the "criminally underrated camp" but that's not so useful to ya XP), but:

I don't know if @writingsofwerewolves counts as lesser known but. I don't care <3

@when-the-sun-goes-dark may not be writing at the moment but the backlog is excellent and (mostly) under the radar

Does anyone know of any lesser known monster / creature artists and writers to follow?

Not to say I don't love the amazingly super talented, already established artists out there, but their work gets so much praise and attention already, I wanna find and support the smaller beans that also deserve to have their stuff shared and given love!

For the small beginning artists / writers, those who have a hard time not comparing your work to others and getting discouraged.

I love you guys, keep creating, you are super valid and amazing♡♡♡♡
