What is your favorite thing about your career?

I’m a stay at home mom.  I love that I get to spend so much time with my daughter, even if she drives me insane sometimes.  We’re super close, and it’s neat to see the world through her eyes.  We tell stories a lot, do art, watch movies, play games, and do her school stuff.

Narrowing her eyes at the newcomer, Regina crossed her arms. The man hadn’t answered a single of her questions yet, and from the sounds of it hadn’t even really been listening to her. Taking a deep breath she forced herself to keep her calm. The fact that he said he’d been summoned told her something at least. He wasn’t just a random guy who had stumbled into town for some reason.

“Like I said, my name is Regina Mills and I’m the Mayor of this town.” She repeated as she glanced him up and down. At first glance he looked like a regular human being. “You’re right, I wasn’t born here. But let’s talk about you first. No, I did not summon you. But if you were summoned, shouldn’t you have appeared to the person who did the summoning? That’s how it usually works isn’t it?”

Raising her hands in surrender Ruby smirked as she walked away to tend to some other customers, certain that the two women wouldn’t be mad at her for too long.

“Insolent girl, right?” Regina asked the waitresses’ other victim as she sat down next to the flirty woman with a little smile. Initially she had intended to take her coffee with her and drink it at the office, but now it was obvious that staying for a while might just have its advantages. 

Licking her lips she thought about what the other woman had asked her and then smirked at her. “If it’s work you’re looking for, I’m going to have to disappoint you, the Mayor’s Office currently does not have any job openings.” Of course she was well aware that actual labor wasn’t what the brunette had referred to, but she had a teasing nature, especially when it came to flirting. “Nor do I need to resort to paying for physical pleasures. But then again you don’t strike me as the type of woman who trolls the streets of Storybrooke for customers at night. As for how intimidating you used to be, while I’ve seen you around town before, we’ve never met as far as I can remember, so I have no idea who you are or who you used to be. But I do have a bit of a soft spot for strong women who know exactly what they want, both in bed as well as in life.”

Even though the brunette clearly knew who she was and used to be and that she might as well have been describing herself with that last statement, Regina held out her hand to officially introduce herself to her. “Regina Mills, nice to meet you.”
