OKAY OKAY OKAY IM ON DESKTOP NOW SO I CAN SHOW OFF WHAT I DISCOVERED A FEW MONTHS AGO
i had been wandering around dragon's end on orion and at some point decided to pause and try to get some screenshots of the animation that plays when u use the spear of archemorus elite skill
and i made some interesting discoveries!
(shout out to the random rat critters in the area that gave me something to huck a spear at lmao)
one: they literally just copy-pasted the orange tinted version of the elite luxon warrior set from gw1 for archemorus lmao sir your polygons
two: THEY MADE A FANCY UNIQUE MODEL FOR THE SPEAR????????? cause it's absolutely not any spear/staff/etc model that already exists in the game!! it doesn't match any existing skin/model!! it's totally new!
also this is what the spear looked like in gw1!! just as reference!!!
i really don't know why they made a fancy new model for it beyond i guess just making the elite skill Look Cool (but then why not give archemorus himself a new model........) but i'm begging anet to release the spear skin as a gem store item or something. anet please let me have the spear. PLEASE GIVE ME MY COOL BONE SPEAR

The muffled bustling from the floors below floated up through the hallways of the Arborstone inn, settling a low buzz to the background. Noriaki was busy watching the fledglings today, so Orion and his ancestors had the room to themselves, without Shiro grumping and grumbling about nothing and ruining the otherwise boisterous mood.
Viktor had settled himself into a chair in the corner of the room hours ago, his attention taken by a book from the library that Orion had fetched for him. Orion himself was lounging on the bed, arms crossed underneath his head. Archemorus was leaning against the wall, arms and legs crossed casually as he and Orion chatted enthusiastically about the fishing trip they’d all taken to the Jade Sea a few days ago.
Despite his reading, Archemorus could tell that Viktor was listening to their conversation with far more interest than he was outwardly letting on, and it was only when Orion lightly cleared his throat that Archemorus realized he’d allowed their back-and-forth to drop suddenly in favor of watching Viktor flip through book pages.
“So…” Orion started, clearly trying to sound as casual as possible and failing spectacularly for multiple different reasons. “What’s up with you two anyway? I mean, are you guys…?”
That prompted Viktor to finally raise his eyes up from the pages, giving Orion an uncomprehending look.“You are going to have to be a bit more specific, Orion.”
The younger man huffed, shifting on the bed to sit up, draping his legs over the edge. He swung the limbs idly for a moment before speaking up once more. “Are you guys fucking or what?”

Brief descriptions of Important Folks + rambling under the cut!
Im Hana - One of the Heroes of Cantha. Childhood best friends with Yūma, and wife of Nika.
Im Min-Seo - Daughter of Hana and Nika.
Im Nari - Present day descendant of Hana and Nika. Serves the Empire as a Willbender, and bodyguard of Princess Jié Yuèlóng.
Chén Yánglóng - An ancient dragon God of Cantha, true ruler of the Celestials, and husband of Lǐ Bǎofèng. Father of Jié Yuèlóng, and Empress Ihn's secret lover.
Lǐ Bǎofèng - An ancient phoenix God of Cantha, true ruler of the Celestials, and husband of Chén Yánglóng.
Jié Yuèlóng - Imperial Princess of Cantha, daughter of Empress Ihn and Chén Yánglóng.
Yuán Zhēnjīng - An ancient fox spirit revered by the Miyajima family.
Shion Miyajima - A Priestess of Grenth born in Kryta who went to Cantha in search of her family's history. Currently trying to restore the abandoned Miyajima estate off the coast of Shing Jea.
Yūma Miyajima - One of the Heroes of Cantha. Childhood best friends with Hana, and - more infamously - the man who bore a ghostly Shiro Tagachi a child.
Yūki Hashimoto - Son of Yūma and Shiro.
