BHOC: UNCANNY X-MEN #118
There wasn’t any one particular transcendent moment, but X-MEN quietly settled into being one of those series that I really liked, that always delivered. Part of that was that the creative team of Chris Claremont and John Byrne was remarkably consistent, seldom missing an issue. And partly this was due to my not quite knowing what bits were new revelations and what bits had been established…

Beowulf #6 (March, 1976). Cover by Ricardo Villamonte.
The final issue of DC's Beowulf comic. While it started out as an adaptation of the first half of the epic poem (Beowulf's battle with Grendel and Grendel's mother), several characters (including a girlfriend for Beowulf) and side quests were introduced to make the book an ongoing series.
Sadly, like most of the books DC introduced in the mid-1970s to ride the antasy/sword-and-sorcery wave that Marvel had started with Conan the Barbarian, Beowulf was cancelled in less than a year.
The series was written by Michael Uslan, he who has become the ubiquitous producer on all the Batman films. Art was by Ricardo Villamonte, who also provided the covers. For this last issue, Rick Estrada stepped in to render the interimr pencils, with Villamonte providing the inks.

December 1973. Skywald's short-lived black & white SCREAM magazine often suffered convoluted, overwritten scripts, but had very stylish art by an array of mostly Spanish artists. These pages from the Lady Satan strip are drawn by Ricardo Villamonte.

Viviane Villamont : Kisdarázs
"– Én nem fogok férjhez menni.
– Miért?
– Nem akarok zoknit stoppolni.
– Hát akkor majd olyanhoz mész, akinek nincsen lába."
" - Vedd fel a pulóveredet! De ne fordítva, hé!
– Így is ugyanolyan meleg.
– Ez igaz."
"Miért szereted a banánt?
"– Tudod is te, mi a szerelem!
