MHA One-Shot Fanfic: "Vixen's Confession"
OC: Danielle Bun
Alias: Vixen - Quirk: Kitsune
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Part 8. Final.
The hideout was unusually quiet, save for the faint sound of Toga humming in the next room and the muffled clink of Twice fumbling with his ever-growing stack of mugs. The League had just wrapped up another chaotic mission, and exhaustion hung heavy in the air. But for Dabi, it wasn’t the adrenaline crash keeping him up—it was her.
Vixen.
She was perched on the worn-out couch, legs curled beneath her, fiddling with one of her claw-like rings. The dim light caught in her pink hair, giving it a soft, otherworldly glow. She looked calm, even playful, but Dabi could see through her. Her lips were tugged up in that teasing little smirk she wore like armor, but her fingers twitched restlessly. She wasn’t as unaffected as she wanted to seem.
And damn it, neither was he.
It had been months since that night in the safe house. Months of stolen kisses, heated touches, and pretending they were still just “having fun.” Dabi wasn’t one to wax poetic, but every time she pressed her lips to his or gave him that rare, genuine smile, it felt like something was clawing its way out of his chest.
He couldn’t ignore it anymore.
“Hey,” he said, his voice low as he crossed the room.
She glanced up, one brow arching. “What’s with the broody tone? Did Shigaraki scowl at you too hard again?”
Dabi rolled his eyes but didn’t take the bait. He sank onto the couch beside her, close enough that their knees brushed. She didn’t move away. She never did.
“Cut the crap, Dani.” His voice was rougher than he intended, but he didn’t back down. “We need to talk.”
Her smirk faltered, and for a moment, he thought she’d slip into her playful deflections. Instead, she surprised him.
“I was wondering when you’d stop pretending,” she murmured, her voice softer than he’d ever heard it.
His breath caught. Of course, she’d known. She always knew.
“I’m not good at this,” he admitted, leaning forward, elbows on his knees. “Feelings, talking… hell, any of it. But I know one thing.” He glanced at her, his blue eyes blazing with a rare vulnerability. “I’m done pretending you’re just a distraction. You’re not.”
Her lips parted, but no sound came out. For once, Vixen was speechless.
“And you,” he continued, his voice dropping, “you’re not as good at hiding it as you think. I see the way you look at me when you think I’m not paying attention. I feel it every time you touch me.”
Dani swallowed hard, her blue eyes locked on his. Her hand hovered in the space between them, as if she was afraid to reach out.
“I didn’t want to mess this up,” she whispered. “This… us. It’s the only thing that’s felt real in a long time.”
He caught her hand in his, threading his fingers through hers. “Then stop running from it.”
The tension broke like a dam.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
She surged forward, crashing her lips against his, her hands tangling in his dark hair. Dabi groaned, pulling her onto his lap, his hands gripping her hips as if he was afraid she’d disappear.
It wasn’t slow or sweet—it was raw, desperate, and electric. Every kiss, every touch was an unspoken promise: I’m here. I’m not letting go.
By the time they broke apart, their foreheads pressed together, both of them were breathless. Dani cupped his face, her thumbs brushing the scarred skin he usually hid behind his nonchalant smirks.
“I love you,” she said, the words quiet but sure.
Dabi froze, his heart hammering against his ribs. Love wasn’t a word he used—or trusted. But with her… it didn’t feel like a weakness. It felt like freedom.
“I…” His voice cracked, but he didn’t look away. “I love you too.”
The words felt strange on his tongue, but they were real.
They didn’t need more words after that. Their actions spoke louder.
That night, as they lay tangled together in the dark, their bodies pressed close, Dabi traced the crescent tattoo on her wrist with his fingertips. Dani smiled, her head resting on his chest.
“You know,” she said, her voice drowsy but teasing, “you’re surprisingly good at this whole love thing.”
“Shut up,” he muttered, but the corner of his lips tugged up into a rare smile.
For the first time in years, Dabi didn’t feel like a weapon or a pawn. With her, he was just a man—flawed, scarred, but loved.
And for once, he let himself believe it.

We had one shot to get out of the Sinister Minister’s grasp, and we took it. Hand in hand, Kansas and I fled in the middle of the night, with a promise that we’d never tell a soul about what happened at that house, and how Constantine died.
Eisley has spent the last decade looking over her shoulder while trying to forget the horrors The Minister and ‘The Family’ inflicted upon her and others. However, something continues to call to her. In the deepest roots of her psyche, she can’t escape the nightmares of her time trapped in the cult.
All of her fears come to a head when she finds a letter taped to her door, informing her that a documentary is being made about The Minister and the events that took place ten years ago. When she politely declines, she can’t help but wonder why they didn’t fight her more to talk.
It isn’t until she turns on the TV that she sees that they didn’t need her to talk because they had someone else to captivate their audience. They found Constantine.
He’s alive.
He remembers that they left him.

📖 ARC time! 📖 I was about to begin reading the advance review copy of Kathryn Ann Kingsley's upcoming book The Unseelie Prince (Maze of Shadows #1) when this gorgeous artwork by the author right on the first page of the book caught my breath. Featured in the illustration are I presume the protagonists of the series - Valroy, crown prince of the Unseelie Court, and Eleanor, the local cursed girl whom misfortune follows. Stories about the magical and mysterious Folk (often generically called Fae in a lot of fantasy fiction) used to fill me with both thrill and dread growing up. The lesson in many of those seemed to be a warning against bargaining with supernatural forces one does not understand. With the roaring success of book series like Sarah J. Mass's A Court of Thorns and Roses, however, there has been a deluge of fiction depicting the Folk as not just figures of mystique, warning and reverence but also objects of romantic and sexual desire. While Fae romance has become a genre in publishing of late, stories exploring the blurring of dread and desire involving mythical creatures is hardly a new phenomenon in storytelling. Kingsley writes exclusively in the subgenre she identifies as "villain romance" as a sort of wish fulfillment for all the times a reader has found the stereotypical villain in a fantasy more appealing than the hero or wanted the heroine to be just a little bad herself. Considering the possibilities this opens up for her newest venture, I am excited to find out how the story of Valroy and Eleanor goes. The Unseelie Prince is set to release on October 12, 2021. MHA Fanfic Continuation: "Vixen's Flame"
OC: Danielle Bun
Alias: Vixen - Quirk: Kitsune
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Part 7.5 (Dabi's POV)
A Quiet Morning After
The hideout was silent when I returned. The usual mess of League members and their chaotic energy was nowhere to be found, leaving an eerie calm. Even the walls seemed to breathe easier without the usual tension hanging in the air.
I couldn’t stop replaying last night in my head.
Everything felt different. The way Dani looked at me, the way her fingers lingered on my skin like she was grounding herself in me. And I let her. I let her. Hell, I couldn’t remember the last time I’d been so fucking present in something, anything. But last night... it was like everything that mattered had blurred into one endless moment of heat and tenderness and rawness that had no place in my world, but somehow, I didn’t care.
We hadn’t just kissed. We didn’t just share some rushed, messy sex. No. We connected. It was different this time.
I know I’m not good at this. I’ve spent so many years being numb, being disconnected from people, that I’ve built up an armor around myself. I never let anyone close enough to hurt me. But with Dani? Dani’s different. I couldn’t keep the distance anymore, no matter how much I tried to bury it, no matter how much I needed to protect myself from anything that might make me feel like I was more than just a weapon to be used. But last night, that armor? It didn’t feel necessary. It didn’t feel like a shield.
I felt her. I felt every kiss, every soft caress, the way her touch made my chest tighten and my thoughts scatter. She had a way of making it all seem real—more real than anything I’d ever let myself believe. For the first time in a long time, I wasn’t alone in my own mind.
The way she melted into me when we kissed, how her fingers ran down my back, tracing over my scars like she knew they were part of me, part of my history. And fuck, the way she looked at me—really looked at me, like she saw past the flames, past the anger, and into the broken pieces no one ever dared to look at. I let her. I wanted her to see it.
And when we made love?
Shit. That wasn’t just physical. It was raw and desperate and full of everything we’d both been hiding for so long. She didn’t pull away. She didn’t flinch when I touched her. She pulled me in, just like I pulled her in, like we couldn’t get close enough. Her body, her warmth, everything about her felt like something I needed. Something I wanted.
There was no pretending, no acting. No game. Just two people—two fucked-up, broken people—finally admitting that they wanted each other. That they needed each other.
I can’t say it was love—not yet. Maybe it is, but I don’t know how to name something like that. But there was a part of me that felt... whole with her. More whole than I’ve ever felt, even in my own skin. It wasn’t just about sex, or affection, or even the idea of having someone at my back. It was something deeper. Something more dangerous. Because I knew I wasn’t supposed to want it, but I did.
And now? Now, we were back at the hideout. I should be acting like I always do—cold, distant, unaffected—but it’s fucking hard when I can still feel the heat of her body against mine, the soft whispers of her voice, the way she had whispered my name like she was carving it into her soul.
As much as I hate it, I can’t stop thinking about her. About us. I shouldn’t be thinking about her. Not like this. But the truth is... I don’t know what the hell I’m supposed to do with this feeling. I can’t bury it. I can’t pretend it’s nothing. It’s something. And I think she feels it too.
I’d never admit it out loud—not to her, not to anyone—but part of me wants to keep her close. Part of me wants to protect her, to hold onto her and let her be my fucking anchor in this world of chaos. But I can’t get too soft. I can’t be that guy. Not with everything we’ve both done. Not in the life I live.
But she... she makes me want to be different. Makes me want to be more than just the flame-wielding asshole who burns everything he touches.
It’s fucked up. But somehow, it feels right.
I shake my head as I pour myself a drink, ignoring the emptiness that’s still gnawing at me.
God, I’m not sure what the hell is happening between us. But I do know one thing: I’m not ready to let it go. Not yet. Not now.
Not when I’m finally starting to feel like I’m not alone in this damn world.

MHA Fanfic Continuation: "Vixen's Flame"
OC: Danielle Bun
Alias: Vixen - Quirk: Kitsune
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Part 7.
The League’s safe house wasn’t luxurious—far from it. It was cramped, with creaking floorboards and peeling wallpaper, the kind of place no one looked twice at. That anonymity made it perfect for hiding, but comfort? Not so much.
By the time they’d finished divvying up the few usable beds, it was obvious someone would end up sharing. When Twice and Toga exchanged smirks before grabbing the last bed, leaving only a narrow twin mattress in the corner, Dani narrowed her eyes.
“They’re doing this on purpose,” she muttered.
“Obviously,” Dabi drawled, leaning against the wall with his usual nonchalance. “They think it’s funny.”
Dani shot him a glance, her cheeks warming slightly. The two of them had been skirting the edges of something for weeks now—something unspoken, something electric. “You could always sleep on the floor,” she teased, crossing her arms.
“And miss the chance to make you uncomfortable?” His lips quirked into a smirk. “Not a chance.”
She rolled her eyes but didn’t argue.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Shared Bed
Later that night, the room was silent except for the soft creaks of the building settling. Dani lay on one side of the bed, her back pressed against the wall, while Dabi sprawled on the other, one arm slung over his eyes.
The bed was narrow enough that their arms brushed, even with both of them trying to keep space.
“This is stupid,” Dani muttered, shifting slightly.
“Agreed,” Dabi replied, his voice muffled. “But I’m not moving.”
She huffed, though she wasn’t really annoyed. There was a strange sort of comfort in his presence, even if she’d never admit it.
Minutes passed in silence. She thought he might have fallen asleep when his voice cut through the darkness.
“You’re fidgeting.”
“You’re taking up all the space.”
He snorted softly but didn’t argue. After a moment, Dani sighed, sitting up slightly.
“Okay, come here,” she said, her tone softer than usual.
Dabi tilted his head to glance at her, one eyebrow raised. “What?”
“You’re clearly uncomfortable, and I’m not spending the whole night fighting for room. Just—” She tugged at his arm gently, guiding him to lay down against her. “Get over here.”
For a moment, he didn’t move, his expression unreadable. Then, slowly, he shifted, laying his head against her chest.
Dani wrapped her arms around him, her fingers brushing against his hair. “See? Not so bad.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Cuddle Session
At first, Dabi was stiff, like he wasn’t sure what to do with himself. But as her fingers combed gently through his hair, he began to relax. His breathing evened out, and the tension in his shoulders eased as he melted into her touch.
Dani couldn’t help but smile, the corners of her lips curling upward as she felt him finally let go. For someone who exuded so much fire and confidence, he seemed almost fragile in her arms.
“Dabi,” she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.
“Hmm?”
“You can let go, you know. You don’t have to keep carrying everything by yourself.”
He didn’t reply, but the way his hand clutched at her side, his fingers curling into the fabric of her shirt, spoke volumes.
For a long while, they stayed like that. Dani traced soothing circles along his back, her touch slow and deliberate. Dabi’s breathing grew heavier, his head tucked against her neck like he was trying to disappear into her.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Kiss
“Dani,” he said softly, his voice rough and barely audible.
“Yeah?”
He lifted his head slightly, just enough to meet her gaze. The look in his eyes was vulnerable, unguarded in a way she’d never seen before.
“I don’t… I don’t know what this is,” he admitted, his voice tinged with frustration. “But whatever it is, I don’t want it to stop.”
Her heart squeezed at his words. Slowly, she cupped his face, her thumb brushing against the staples in his skin. “It doesn’t have to,” she whispered.
Dabi leaned into her touch, his eyes fluttering closed for a moment before he opened them again, searching her face. And then, as if pulled by an invisible thread, he closed the distance between them.
The kiss was soft, almost tentative at first, as though he was afraid it might break something. But as Dani’s lips moved against his, warmth flooded through both of them, chasing away the cold edges of their world.
When they finally pulled apart, Dani rested her forehead against his, a small smile playing on her lips. “Still think this is stupid?” she teased gently.
Dabi huffed a quiet laugh, his hand sliding up to cradle her face. “Maybe. But it’s our kind of stupid.”
For the first time in what felt like forever, they both allowed themselves to simply exist in the moment—together.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The night stretched on, and every kiss was a silent confession, a surrender. They couldn’t stop—each time their lips met, it was as if they were both letting go of everything they’d been holding inside. Every lingering touch, every breathless pause, only fueled the desire to have more, to claim and be claimed, to break down the walls they’d built so high between them.
Dabi’s hand slid around her waist, pulling her closer, his body pressing into hers with a hunger that neither of them had expected. They were tangled in each other now, no more teasing, no more pretending it was just a passing moment. This was real, this was them.
His lips found her neck, a trail of kisses down her throat that made her shiver, made her gasp. Dani’s hands traced the curve of his back, pulling him closer, her own body arching up to meet him. Her heart raced in sync with his, both of them lost in the overwhelming tide of heat and connection.
"Do you want this?" Dabi's voice was raw, barely a whisper against her skin, but it held the weight of the question that had been simmering between them for so long.
She didn’t hesitate. "Yes," she breathed, her hands tugging him back to her lips, claiming him in the most intimate way possible. The kiss deepened, urgent now, as if they were both trying to consume each other whole.
Dabi’s fingers brushed the sides of her shirt, his touch hesitant but filled with need. Dani shivered beneath him, her hands moving to pull him closer, her legs wrapping around his waist as their bodies aligned perfectly. No more hesitation, no more second-guessing. They were here, together, in this moment.
The kisses continued, frantic and passionate, a tangled mess of lips, skin, and unspoken emotions. Their hands moved over each other’s bodies, tracing the soft curves and hard edges, the lines of muscles and scars that told the stories they had never shared aloud.
Each touch, each caress, felt like a revelation. Dani’s fingers brushed over Dabi’s tattoos, tracing the flames, feeling the heat of them, as if she could unlock every part of him. His hands found her curves, pulling her closer, his lips never straying far from hers, as if the mere act of kissing was not enough to satiate the fire that had ignited between them.
They didn’t speak, not much. They didn’t need to. The shared looks—those fleeting moments where their gazes met and held, silent understanding passing between them—spoke louder than words ever could.
Clothes slowly disappeared, discarded carelessly on the floor, their need to be closer than they ever had been overriding any shred of hesitation. Their bodies met, skin on skin, in a beautiful, chaotic embrace, as if every part of them were trying to get closer, to become one.
Dabi’s kisses moved lower, his lips tracing a line from her mouth down to her collarbone, then to the soft curve of her breast. Dani arched into him, her fingers threading through his hair, urging him closer, her breath coming faster with every touch.
Every kiss was a promise—a promise to never let go, to never pull away again. His hands roamed over her, exploring, claiming, while she did the same, marking him as hers in a way that felt both dangerous and exhilarating.
And when the night seemed to stretch endlessly, when they thought they couldn’t go on, they found each other again, tangled in the sheets, unable to stop. A kiss shared on the tips of fingers, a kiss pressed deep into the curve of her neck, a kiss whispered across the contours of his chest. There was nothing but each other, nothing but the warmth and the heat and the way their bodies fit together as if they were always meant to be.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Morning After
Dawn crept through the blinds, the pale light spilling across the room and painting the chaos of their night in soft, golden hues. Dani woke first, the gentle sound of Dabi’s breath filling the silence as she turned her head to find him lying beside her, his arm draped lazily across her waist.
She blinked slowly, her mind still clouded with the remnants of the night, the fire they’d shared, the moments of vulnerability that had made them both raw and real. The sheets were tangled around them, a mess of limbs and bodies and whispered words.
She shifted slightly, careful not to wake him just yet, her eyes studying the marks on his skin, the faint burn scars that were a part of him, part of his past. Her fingers traced them gently, her touch tender, as though she were memorizing every inch of him.
Dabi stirred, his eyes flickering open, meeting hers. There was no uncertainty in his gaze this time, no walls. Only raw honesty, vulnerability.
“Morning,” Dani said softly, a small smile tugging at her lips.
Dabi chuckled, his voice still hoarse. “Didn’t think we’d still be here.”
“Why wouldn’t we be?” she replied, her hand reaching up to gently brush his hair from his forehead. The intimacy of the moment, the softness between them, felt surreal after everything they had been through.
He propped himself up on his elbow, gazing at her with that same unreadable expression. “I wasn’t sure you’d want to stick around after last night.”
Dani’s heart skipped a beat at his words. She cupped his face gently, leaning in to place a soft kiss on his lips. “I want to,” she whispered. “I want this.”
The air between them shifted, the tension from the night melting away as Dabi lowered himself back onto the bed, pulling her into his arms. “Yeah,” he murmured, his voice full of warmth, “me too.”
For once, it felt like they didn’t have to pretend, like they didn’t have to fight. They were just two people, lying together, vulnerable and connected in a way that neither of them had expected. The world outside the room could wait. For now, it was just them.
And for the first time in a long time, Dani felt at peace. And so did Dabi.

MHA Fanfic Continuation: "Vixen's Embrace"

______________________________________________________________
Part 6.
The League’s hideout was never quiet for long. Between Toga’s chaotic energy, Twice’s identity crises, and Shigaraki’s brooding leadership, there was always something brewing. But lately, something else lingered in the air—something Dani and Dabi thought they were keeping subtle, though everyone else clearly noticed.
It started with small shifts—arguments that turned teasing, accidental brushes that lingered, and stolen glances that didn’t go unnoticed by the rest of the League.
And then, one mission ended in a fiery disaster, as they often did, with Dani and Dabi alone in a cramped safehouse.
______________________________________________________________
The Accidental Make-Out Session
The safehouse was nothing to write home about—bare walls, a single flickering lightbulb, and a mattress shoved into a corner. Dani paced near the window, peeking through the blinds to check for patrols. Dabi sat on the edge of the bed, stripping off his tattered coat to reveal fresh burns across his arms.
“You’re reckless,” Dani muttered, her voice sharp, though concern softened its edges.
“Pot, meet kettle,” Dabi shot back, wincing as he examined his wounds.
Dani spun to face him, hands on her hips, her pink hair wild from the rain outside. “At least I don’t push myself to the point of self-destruction every time!”
“Could’ve fooled me.” He smirked, his tone smug despite the pain radiating from his body.
Her eyes narrowed. “You’re impossible.”
“And you’re predictable.”
That did it. Dani marched toward him, kneeling between his legs so fast he barely registered it. “You’re hurt,” she snapped, grabbing his arm. “Let me help.”
His smirk faltered as her healing quirk activated, the glow from her paw tattoo casting soft light between them. Dabi’s breath hitched—not from the pain easing, but from the proximity.
“You don’t have to—”
“Shut up.” Dani’s voice was low, her blue eyes piercing.
His mouth closed, and for once, he listened. Her touch was gentle, almost tender, as she worked on his burns. The usual teasing in her expression was gone, replaced with something softer.
“You’re such a pain,” she murmured, her voice quieter now, almost wistful.
“And yet you’re still here,” he replied, his tone unusually gentle.
The tension between them grew heavy, thick enough to drown in. Neither of them moved, her hands still on his arm, his gaze locked on hers.
“You’re staring,” Dani whispered, her lips twitching into a faint smile.
“You’re close,” Dabi countered, his voice huskier than usual.
It happened before either of them could think to stop it. His free hand cupped the back of her neck, and she leaned in without hesitation. Their lips met in a clash of heat and desperation, the kiss unrelenting and raw.
Dani gasped as his grip tightened, pulling her closer. Her hands moved from his arm to his chest, her fingers curling into his shirt as the kiss deepened. It wasn’t gentle—it was fire meeting fire, messy and uncoordinated, but it was them.
The kiss broke only when breathing became a necessity. Dani’s lips were swollen, her cheeks flushed as she stared at him, wide-eyed.
“That… was an accident,” she said, though her voice lacked conviction.
Dabi raised an eyebrow, a smirk tugging at his lips despite his own breathlessness. “Sure it was.”
______________________________________________________________
A Shift in the Dynamic
From that moment, things were… different. The banter continued, but the teasing was sharper, the tension beneath it electric.
Dani would nudge his shoulder during planning meetings, her touch lingering just a second too long. Dabi would shoot her a look that could melt steel, his smirk full of unspoken promises.
And then there were the moments between missions—stolen seconds when the rest of the League wasn’t paying attention. A hand brushing against hers as they passed each other, his jacket draped over her shoulders when the air grew cold, a whispered “stay safe” that carried more weight than either would admit.
______________________________________________________________
The League Notices
It didn’t take long for the rest of the League to catch on.
Toga was the first to comment, naturally. “You two are so cute!” she gushed one evening, her eyes practically sparkling. “You should just get married already!”
“Shut it, Toga,” Dabi growled, though the faintest hint of pink dusted his cheeks.
“Aw, are you blushing?” Spinner chimed in, his tone equal parts teasing and exasperated.
“Focus on the mission,” Dani interjected, though her own cheeks betrayed her with a faint flush.
Shigaraki’s raspy voice cut through the chatter. “Whatever you two do, just don’t let it interfere with our goals. We don’t have time for soap operas.”
“Noted,” Dani replied, shooting Dabi a smirk that said this isn’t over.
______________________________________________________________
A Private Moment
Late one night, after everyone else had settled, Dani found herself on the roof of the hideout. The moonlight cast a soft glow over the city, and the cool air was a welcome reprieve from the chaos below.
“Couldn’t sleep?”
She turned to see Dabi leaning against the doorway, his hands stuffed in his pockets.
“Needed some air,” she replied, her tone casual.
He stepped closer, his movements unhurried. “You’ve been quiet since the last mission.”
Dani raised an eyebrow. “Worried about me, are you?”
“Maybe.”
His honesty caught her off guard, and for a moment, she didn’t know what to say. Then, he was in front of her, his hand brushing a strand of pink hair from her face.
“You don’t have to keep pushing yourself for us,” he said, his voice softer than she’d ever heard it.
“And you don’t have to keep setting yourself on fire,” she countered, her lips quirking into a small smile.
They stood in silence for a moment, the city buzzing faintly below them. Then, without thinking, Dani leaned forward, resting her head against his chest.
Dabi stiffened, but only for a second before his arms wrapped around her, holding her close.
For all their fire and chaos, this moment was soft, unspoken promises exchanged in the quiet of the night.
And for now, that was enough.

MHA Fanfic Continuation: "Vixen's Flame"
OC: Danielle Bun
Alias: Vixen - Quirk: Kitsune
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Part 5.
The aftermath of the mission was a mess. It wasn’t supposed to spiral out of control, but when did things ever go according to plan? The League scattered into their usual chaos as heroes swarmed the area. Dani managed to pull her weight—her illusions disorienting the enemies long enough for the others to regroup.
But it was Dabi who drew the most attention.
He’d gone too far this time, pushing his flames beyond their limits to cover the retreat. His skin cracked under the strain, and his breathing came in ragged gasps as the fire around him refused to die down. The blue flames licked at the walls, devouring everything in their path, threatening even his allies.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Walking Through Fire
Dani spotted him from across the battlefield, his figure barely visible through the heatwaves and smoke. The rest of the League shouted at him to pull back, but he didn’t move, trapped in a storm of his own creation.
“Dabi!” Dani yelled, her voice cutting through the din, but he didn’t respond.
Without hesitation, she moved toward him. Spinner grabbed her arm. “Are you crazy? You’ll get burned!”
She shrugged him off. “I can take it.”
“Dani, wait—”
She didn’t.
The flames seared her skin as she stepped through them, her illusions offering only minimal protection. Every step was agony, but she pushed forward, her determination overriding the pain.
Finally, she reached him. His body trembled, his flames roaring wildly, his blue eyes unfocused and haunted.
“Dabi,” she said, her voice softer now, though firm. “I’m here.”
He didn’t react, his flames spiraling higher as if he couldn’t hear her.
Dani closed the remaining distance and did the only thing she could think of: she wrapped her arms around him.
The heat was unbearable, and she felt the edges of her sleeves burn away. But she didn’t let go.
“It’s okay,” she whispered, her voice steady even as her own body protested. “You’re not alone. I’ve got you.”
Slowly, her healing quirk activated. The soft glow of her paw tattoo shimmered against the chaotic blue flames, and she focused all her energy on easing his pain.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Flames Die Down
The change was almost imperceptible at first. His breathing steadied, the flames around them dimming. Dani’s healing soothed his raw, cracked skin, the scent of burned flesh fading as the air cooled.
Dabi blinked, his vision clearing. He looked down at her, his expression a mix of confusion and disbelief.
“You’re… insane,” he rasped, his voice hoarse.
Dani smirked despite the pain still radiating through her body. “Takes one to know one.”
He tried to step back, but she tightened her hold. “Not yet,” she murmured. “Just… stay.”
For once, he didn’t argue.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Moment of Vulnerability
When the flames finally extinguished, they were left in the silence of the ruined battlefield. The others had retreated to safety, leaving them alone in the charred remains.
Dabi’s knees buckled, and Dani guided him to the ground, still holding him as if afraid he might disappear.
“Why would you do that?” he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
She met his gaze, her blue eyes steady. “Because I care.”
His laugh was bitter, his walls snapping back into place. “Don’t say stuff like that. People like me… we burn everything we touch.”
“Not me,” Dani said, her voice unwavering. “You didn’t burn me, Dabi. You won’t.”
His lips parted as if to argue, but the words didn’t come. Instead, he slumped against her, his exhaustion finally catching up with him.
For a long time, they sat there, the only sounds their breathing and the distant crackle of dying embers. Dani ran her fingers through his hair, her touch gentle, and for the first time in what felt like forever, Dabi let himself be vulnerable.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The League Reacts
By the time they returned to the hideout, Dabi was patched up enough to walk on his own, though he leaned on Dani more than he’d admit.
The League, of course, noticed.
Toga’s eyes lit up as she practically bounced over to them. “Dani, you’re so cool! You were like a knight in shining armor!”
“More like a pyromaniac whisperer,” Spinner muttered, earning a glare from Dani.
“Not now,” Dani said, her voice firm.
Surprisingly, they listened, giving Dabi space as he retreated to his room. Dani followed shortly after, ignoring the knowing smirks and whispered bets being exchanged behind her back.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Behind Closed Doors
Dabi sat on the edge of his bed, his head in his hands. Dani stepped inside, closing the door softly behind her.
“Don’t start,” he said, his voice muffled.
“I’m not here to lecture you,” she said, sitting beside him. “I’m here because I want to be.”
He looked up, his expression a mix of frustration and something else—something softer. “You’re too stubborn for your own good, you know that?”
“Right back at you.”
For a moment, they just sat there, the weight of the night pressing down on them. Then, hesitantly, Dabi reached out, his fingers brushing against hers.
“Thanks,” he said, his voice barely audible.
Dani smiled, intertwining their fingers. “Always.”
And in that quiet moment, they both knew things had changed. They weren’t just partners, weren’t just two stubborn villains dancing around their feelings.
They were something more. Something dangerous.
And neither of them would have it any other way.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Part 4.
Life in the League of Villains had become an unexpected rhythm for Dani—chaotic, dangerous, and oddly… fun. Months of living with the team had turned the dysfunctional group into something closer to a family (albeit a very twisted one). Missions came and went, laughter was laced with danger, and relationships deepened in ways that were both surprising and inevitable.
And then there was him.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Moments in the Dark
Dani and Dabi’s relationship was a slow burn. Literally.
They were drawn to each other from the start, their banter sharp enough to cut glass. Dabi’s dark humor and perpetual smirk tested Dani’s patience, while her sly wit kept him on his toes. For weeks, it seemed like a game of who could get under the other’s skin the most.
But beneath the teasing, there were moments—quiet, vulnerable glimpses of something more.
One night, after a grueling mission, Dani found Dabi sitting alone on the hideout’s roof. The air was thick with smoke from his quirk, his scars illuminated by the faint glow of his flames.
“Careful,” Dani said as she approached, her voice light. “You’ll set the whole building on fire.”
“Not a bad idea,” he muttered, but his tone lacked bite.
She sat beside him, her illusions casting a soft shimmer of moonlight over the rooftop. “Rough night?”
Dabi glanced at her, his blue eyes unreadable. “Isn’t it always?”
For a moment, silence stretched between them. Then, almost imperceptibly, Dabi let out a low chuckle. “You know, you’re not as annoying as I thought you’d be.”
Dani smirked, leaning back on her hands. “And you’re not as heartless as you pretend to be.”
He didn’t respond, but the faint twitch of his lips told her she was right.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Little Things
As the weeks passed, Dani noticed the little things about Dabi—the way he’d linger when she was talking, the way he’d smirk when she outwitted someone during a mission.
Dabi, for his part, couldn’t ignore the way Dani seemed to see him. She didn’t flinch at his scars or treat him like a ticking time bomb. She met his darkness with her own, unafraid and unapologetic.
“You’re staring,” Dani said one day, catching Dabi watching her as she practiced her illusions.
“Maybe I’m trying to figure out how you’re not as annoying as the rest of them,” he shot back, though his smirk softened the words.
“Oh, I’m definitely annoying,” Dani said with a grin, her illusions swirling around her like a living storm. “I just make it look good.”
Dabi’s laugh was low and unexpected, and Dani couldn’t help but feel a spark of warmth.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Missions and Mayhem
Working together brought them closer, though neither would admit it.
On a particularly dangerous mission, Dabi found himself paired with Dani. Their goal was to infiltrate a hero’s safehouse and extract critical intel. The plan was simple enough—until it wasn’t.
“Tell me you’ve got a plan,” Dabi muttered as they crouched behind a crumbling wall, surrounded by patrolling heroes.
“I always have a plan,” Dani replied, her Kitsune quirk shimmering around her like a second skin.
“Yeah? And how often does it work?”
“About as often as you crack a genuine smile.”
Despite the danger, Dabi smirked. “Touché.”
Dani’s illusions created a diversion, allowing them to slip past the heroes and into the safehouse. As they worked together, Dabi couldn’t help but notice how seamlessly they moved as a team. Her cunning and agility complemented his brute strength and fiery precision.
By the time they escaped, they were both breathless and grinning like kids who’d gotten away with a prank.
“Not bad,” Dabi said, his voice laced with amusement. “For a manipulative fox.”
“Not bad yourself,” Dani shot back, “for a human flamethrower.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Breaking Down Walls
The turning point came during a rare quiet night at the hideout. Most of the League was asleep, and Dani found herself alone in the common room, nursing a cup of tea.
She didn’t expect Dabi to join her, but there he was, leaning against the doorway with his trademark smirk.
“Couldn’t sleep?” he asked, sauntering over to sit beside her.
“Something like that,” she replied, her voice softer than usual.
For a while, they sat in silence, the only sound the faint crackle of Dabi’s flames as he toyed with them absentmindedly.
“You know,” he said after a while, his voice unusually serious, “you’re not like the others.”
Dani raised an eyebrow. “Careful, Dabi. That almost sounded like a compliment.”
“I’m serious,” he said, meeting her gaze. “You don’t just talk about revenge or chaos like the rest of them. You actually… care.”
Dani’s breath caught, her usual playful demeanor faltering. “And that’s a bad thing?”
“No,” Dabi said, his voice low. “It’s what makes you dangerous.”
The air between them crackled with unspoken tension, the kind that couldn’t be dismissed with a joke.
And then, almost imperceptibly, Dabi leaned closer.
“You’re dangerous too,” Dani whispered, her blue eyes locking onto his.
“Good,” he murmured, his lips curving into a smirk. “We make a hell of a team.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Impossibly Closer
From that night on, something shifted between them. Their banter grew sharper, their stolen moments more intimate. They still bickered like cats and dogs, but now there was an undercurrent of something deeper—something neither of them was ready to name.
The League, of course, noticed.
Toga was the first to call it out. “Daniiii,” she sing-songed one day, draping herself over Dani’s shoulder. “Are you and Dabi, like, a thing now?”
“Absolutely not,” Dani said, though her flushed cheeks betrayed her.
Dabi, overhearing, smirked from across the room. “She wishes.”
“Keep dreaming, fire boy,” Dani shot back, though her heart raced at his teasing tone.
Twice, ever the romantic, declared them “the perfect villain power couple,” while Spinner rolled his eyes and muttered something about “drama.”
Shigaraki, predictably, threatened to “decay” anyone who brought it up again.
But despite the League’s meddling, Dani and Dabi continued their slow, fiery dance. And as they stood together on the battlefield, their powers blending in a deadly display of fire and illusion, one thing was clear:
They weren’t just partners in crime—they were something much more dangerous.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Part 3.
Life with the League of Villains was a delicate dance of chaos, grudging cooperation, and—if Dani squinted—something resembling camaraderie. The days blended into one another, filled with half-baked schemes, constant arguments, and enough personality clashes to make any therapist cry. Dani, ever the fox in the henhouse, found herself not only surviving in the mess but thriving.
It was never boring.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mornings with Villains
The first thing Dani learned about living with the League was that mornings were not peaceful.
Toga was an early riser, bounding around like a caffeinated puppy before sunrise. “Daniiii! Let’s do facials! I found this green stuff in the fridge—it might be mold, but it smells like cucumbers!”
“I’m not putting mold on my face, Toga,” Dani grumbled, burying her head under the pillow.
Meanwhile, Dabi’s “morning routine” involved lighting whatever he was cooking on fire. Not intentionally—it just happened. He stood in front of the stove shirtless, his flame-scarred skin glowing faintly in the dim light, while he prodded a pan of charred eggs with a fork.
“Breakfast,” he said flatly, dropping a plate of blackened disaster in front of Dani.
She stared at it. “I’m not sure if this is food or a crime scene.”
“Eat it or don’t. I don’t care.” He smirked, leaning against the counter. “You look like the kind of person who skips breakfast anyway.”
“I do when it’s incinerated,” she shot back, though she couldn’t help but notice how his lips twitched in amusement.
Shigaraki shuffled in last, scratching at his neck and grumbling about the noise. “If you wake me up again, I’ll decay your pillow,” he growled, glaring at Toga.
“Don’t be so grumpy, Tomura!” Toga chirped, dodging his hand as she giggled.
Dani sipped her tea (thankfully made by Kurogiri, the only functional adult in the group) and watched the chaos unfold. This was her life now.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Teamwork Makes the Scheme Work
Working with the League was... an experience.
Shigaraki, ever the grumpy leader, was constantly suspicious of Dani’s motives. “You’re too good at manipulating people,” he said one day, narrowing his red eyes at her. “I don’t trust it.”
“Good,” Dani replied smoothly. “You shouldn’t.”
Still, her ability to craft illusions and infiltrate groups proved invaluable. During a mission to gather intel, she used her Kitsune quirk to convince a group of low-level heroes they were trapped in a labyrinth. Meanwhile, Dabi and Toga ransacked the place for files.
“Nice work, Vixen,” Dabi said as they escaped, the stolen papers tucked under his arm. “You’ve got a knack for mischief.”
“Coming from you, I’ll take that as a compliment,” she replied, smirking.
Toga clung to Dani’s arm, grinning up at her. “You’re so cool! You make it look so easy.”
“Years of practice, darling,” Dani said, tousling Toga’s hair.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Roommates from Hell
Living together brought its own set of challenges.
Twice, with his split personality, was both endearing and exhausting. One moment, he’d declare Dani his favorite new teammate; the next, he’d accuse her of plotting to betray them.
“You’re amazing! I trust you completely!” “You’re terrible! Don’t touch my stuff!”
“I’m just trying to get a glass of water, buddy,” Dani said one night, patting him on the shoulder.
Spinner was the easiest to get along with, though he was always grumbling about the noise. “If you’re going to blast music, at least make it decent,” he muttered, glaring at Dani’s playlist of lo-fi beats.
Meanwhile, Dabi’s sarcasm clashed with Dani’s sly humor, creating a constant back-and-forth.
“You’re always scheming,” Dabi said one day, watching as Dani organized a plan to infiltrate a hero gala.
“And you’re always brooding,” she shot back. “We all have our hobbies.”
“Is that what you call it?” he said, smirking. “Thought it was just being a pain in the ass.”
“Only to people who deserve it,” she replied, her voice dripping with sweetness.
Dabi’s smirk widened, but he didn’t respond.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Budding Bonds
Despite the chaos, Dani began to form unexpected connections with the League.
Toga was an obvious one, the younger girl clinging to Dani like an adoring little sister. She followed Dani everywhere, constantly asking for advice on everything from combat to nail polish colors.
Spinner, while quiet, appreciated Dani’s pragmatism. “At least you don’t waste time on drama,” he said one night as they both watched Toga and Twice argue over who ate the last piece of cake.
Even Shigaraki grudgingly admitted her value, though his trust was hard-earned. One evening, as they strategized for an upcoming mission, he glanced at her and muttered, “You’re not completely useless.”
“Aw, Tomura,” Dani said with mock sweetness. “That’s the nicest thing you’ve ever said to me.”
Dabi, however, was the wildcard. Their teasing banter grew sharper, the tension between them palpable. Late at night, when the others were asleep, they often found themselves talking in the dim light of the hideout.
“You’re not like the others,” Dabi said one night, his voice low. “You act like you don’t care, but I see it. You’re just as messed up as the rest of us.”
Dani met his gaze, her blue eyes glinting. “Maybe. But at least I make it look good.”
He chuckled, the sound rough but genuine. “Yeah. You do.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Villainous Family
Despite the danger, the mistrust, and the constant bickering, Dani found herself oddly... content. The League was chaotic, dysfunctional, and absolutely insane—but they were also fiercely loyal in their own twisted way.
For the first time in years, Dani felt like she belonged.
And as she curled up on her threadbare mattress one night, listening to Toga’s soft humming and Twice’s muttering, she smiled to herself.
This wasn’t just a hideout.
It was home.

MHA Fanfic Continuation: "Vixen's Den"
OC: Danielle Bun

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Part 2.
The League’s hideout was exactly what Dani expected—and also far worse. The decrepit building smelled of stale smoke, burnt fabric, and something vaguely sour that she chose not to identify. The ceiling dripped in places, and the furniture looked like it had been looted from a junkyard. Toga immediately grabbed her hand as soon as she stepped through the door, practically bouncing on her heels.
“You’re gonna love it here! We’ve got snacks, we’ve got drinks, we’ve got—” Toga paused dramatically, leaning in close with a gleam in her eyes. “We’ve got chaos!”
Dani gave a tight-lipped smile. “Oh, I do love chaos.” Her eyes darted to the corner, where Twice appeared to be arguing with himself over whether the couch was technically alive. She suppressed a laugh. “I think I’ll fit right in.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Introductions, Villain Style
Kurogiri, ever the diplomat, took it upon himself to “formally” introduce Dani to the group. The misty bartender-turned-babysitter gestured to each member in turn, his smooth voice doing little to hide his exasperation at their antics.
“You’ve already met Shigaraki,” he said, nodding toward their leader, who was scratching at his neck like it owed him money.
“Don’t touch my stuff,” Shigaraki growled, gesturing vaguely to the room. “All of it’s mine.”
Dani raised an eyebrow. “Even that?” She pointed at a lopsided lamp in the corner.
“Yes,” he snapped. Then, after a pause, he muttered, “Unless you want it. I don’t care.”
Kurogiri moved on. “This is Dabi.”
Dabi barely glanced up from where he was sprawled on a beat-up armchair. “Don’t set me on fire, and we’ll get along fine.” He smirked. “Unless you like being burned.”
Dani tilted her head, meeting his gaze. “Depends on the type of burn.” Her voice was saccharine, but the edge in her smile sent a flicker of surprise across his face. Toga let out an exaggerated ooh, and Dabi just chuckled, shaking his head.
“Moving on,” Kurogiri said quickly. “This is Toga.”
“Hi, new best friend!” Toga chirped, practically climbing onto Dani’s back. “Do you like tea parties? I mean, blood is better, but tea is fun too. You have such a cute face—can I try it on sometime?”
Dani gently peeled Toga’s arms off her shoulders. “Let’s put a pin in that, shall we?”
“And that’s Twice,” Kurogiri said, gesturing to the man still arguing with himself.
“You seem great!” Twice blurted. “You’re probably terrible! No, no, she’s amazing!” He clapped his hands together. “Welcome aboard—unless you’re leaving. Please don’t leave. Or do. No, don’t.”
Dani blinked. “Do I need to pick a side in this conversation?”
“Not unless you want to!” Twice beamed.
“And finally,” Kurogiri said, his voice slightly strained, “Spinner.”
Spinner waved half-heartedly from the corner, where he was polishing a sword. “As long as you don’t mess with my stuff, we’re cool. Unless you like swords. Then we’re cooler.”
Dani gave him a small nod. “Noted.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sleeping Arrangements
Once introductions were out of the way, Dani was shown to what the League generously referred to as the “living quarters.” It was more of a chaotic free-for-all, with mismatched bedding scattered across the floor and makeshift partitions made from old curtains.
“You’ll love it here!” Toga exclaimed, throwing herself onto a pile of cushions. “We all sleep in the same room. It’s like a big, happy family!”
Dabi snorted from his corner. “If by ‘happy family,’ you mean a disaster waiting to happen, then yeah.”
Twice piped up. “I made a bunk bed once! It broke. But it was great while it lasted!”
Shigaraki waved a hand dismissively. “Find a spot and don’t complain. We don’t exactly do luxury here.”
Dani surveyed the room, her eyes narrowing at the chaos. “This... is what you call a hideout? I’ve seen abandoned theme parks that are more organized.”
“Well, aren’t you fancy,” Dabi drawled, smirking. “Feel free to redecorate if you think you can do better.”
“Oh, I will,” Dani shot back. “But first, I need a place to sleep that doesn’t look like a biohazard.”
Kurogiri sighed. “There’s a spare mattress in the corner. It’s... reasonably clean.”
Dani walked over to the mattress in question, poking it cautiously. “Reasonably clean? That’s the best endorsement you can give?”
“It only smells a little,” Toga said helpfully.
“Fantastic,” Dani muttered. She sat down, gingerly brushing off a suspicious-looking stain. “This is going to be fun.”

Settling In
Despite the chaos, Dani found herself strangely entertained by the League’s antics. Toga insisted on braiding her hair (“It’ll make you look even cuter when we’re murdering people!”), while Twice offered to build her a bookshelf out of scrap wood (“It’ll probably fall apart, but it’s the thought that counts!”). Dabi kept his distance, though he occasionally chimed in with a sarcastic comment, and Spinner grumbled about everyone being too loud.
By the time night fell, Dani was curled up on her mattress, watching the group bicker over who got the last bag of chips. Toga tried to wrestle it from Shigaraki, who threatened to decay her if she didn’t back off. Twice tried to mediate but only ended up confusing everyone further, and Dabi finally snatched the bag and ate the chips himself, earning glares from the rest of the group.
Dani couldn’t help but smile. It was chaotic, messy, and completely ridiculous—but it was also the most alive she’d felt in years. For better or worse, she was part of this strange, dysfunctional family now.
And she had a feeling she was going to enjoy every minute of it.
