I bought the second 3x1 volume of the new spanish edition a couple of weeks ago and did you notice Zoro's suit? EXACTLY.
I will start reading it in a few days.

.......... why did I not remember this cover ????? Nami sitting on a chair and balancing on a pole held by Zoro ?????
edit: WAIT A MINUTE IS THIS THE DRESS THAT INSPIRED THE ONE FROM THE LIVE ACTION ????? I've never found where that one came from, it's not the same but it's similar enough.

I didn't remember Luffy and Zoro eat fish bones and Nami is basically telling them that's not normal because it's fucking not. These men, istg.
And why the fuck are you training your throat, Roronoa? What are you doing with it? 🧐

Nami: Where's Luffy?
Usopp: I don't know, he is afraid or he is lost.
Nami: He is lost then.
The conviction that Luffy is fearless and an idiot, she knows her captain so well already 🥹

They didn't even talk about it (or at least we don't see it) but Zoro knew Luffy wanted Usopp in his crew 🥹

I'm actually tearing up (I'm so sensitive today and I don't know why 🥹) just because here, Zoro is telling Luffy he is going after Jango with Usopp after Usopp has said he couldn't move to try and save Kaya.
Zoro admits he is taking Usopp because he would get lost otherwise but the important thing about this part is that he is going to do what Usopp can't because he respects him and, as I said before, his will to protect.
Zoro and Usopp are so underrated as a duo.

Zoro saying that what happens in the first panel is a lucky strike always makes me laugh because it sounds so unhinged 😭 but he knew Luffy's head is as hard as a rock and Nami would not have survived.

I love how Nami notices Zoro doesn't have his swords even before he does.
The first panel is from chapter 30 but all the others are from chapter 32, a treat for me. To this day, this is still one of my favorite Zoro/Nami moments. It's lowkey a Zoro/Usopp and Nami/Usopp moment too and it says a million things about Nami as a person.
You can see how worried she is for Zoro. Then, when Usopp tries to help him but Zoro puts himself in the middle, you can see how quickly she catches on Zoro's intention to avoid diverting the enemies attention to them. She knows instantly that he has just saved them.
And that fascinates Usopp because why would he worry about them when he is the one fighting? I have a soft spot for Zoro and Usopp's relationship because I think Zoro was Usopp's first idea of what a brave warrior of the sea looks like.
Luffy's impact is bigger and life changing but people forget Zoro's impact over Nami, Usopp and Sanji during their introductory arcs.
And then, the moment Zoro is thinking that he needs at least one of his other swords, Nami decides to intervene and give them back to him, putting her life in danger because she is sure he will win if he has them.
It says a lot about her because she didn't have any problem to leave him behind to protect her treasure (and we know how important is for her in this moment) but she will be there for you when it counts. It didn't count earlier, now it does, and she will put her life on the line for it.
Usopp even offers to go instead but she says no because he is not in the best condition and she can do it herself. I like to think it's not just because he is injured, but also because she wants to make it up to Zoro after the oil fiasco.

Zoro stressed out by Nami's bullshit since the very beginning (she's saying they're late and Zoro reminds her that it's her fault). She is so shameless 😭

The funniest part about this has always been that she says they have to be careful not to fall into their own trap. Alas, shit happens but she has a mission and Zoro is too close.

I started reading the second 3x1 volume of the new One Piece Spanish Edition! Yay!
So random commentaries from now on...
...and we start with Zoro's words here because I love them (and him). He is saying that they are going to help Usopp because they admire his bravery (and Luffy says that they are not going to put their lives on the line just for compassion).
I've always had a soft spot for Zoro and Usopp's relationship and it's so nice to see how quickly Usopp gained his respect, which is something very difficult to achieve. And it doesn't have anything to do with strength, but with the will to protect. Zoro is all about protecting.

Reading the new One Piece Spanish Edition, part 14: With these cute little panels with Zoro and Nami in Villa Syrup just chilling and being Luffy's parents, we reach the end of the first 3x1 volume.
I didn't buy the second one yet and I'm in no rush because the third won't come out until september, so I've decided to reread now Punk Hazard and Dressrosa because Doflamingo still lives in my mind rent free and then I will read Law's novel for the first time. After this I'll buy the second volume.
In conclusion, I will NOT shut the fuck up.

Reading the new One Piece Spanish Edition, part 13: I didn't remember this either and it's very telling about Nami's personality, morals and her relationship with money.
Usopp just told them Kaya is the only person in the villa that can provide them a ship because she is incredibly rich, but he also mentions that she is unhappy despite her money. And that resonates with Nami, so she decides to let the opportunity pass and Luffy agrees (he changes his opinion later tho).
Money is important to Nami but not at any cost. It's not her right to go and ask some girl in a bad condition about something like this, she prefers to get what she wants in other ways.
It's like when Luffy left behind Buggy's treasure for the town's people, she was mad for like two seconds but she understood why he did that and she was okay with it, despite what it means to her to lose that money. She cares.
