BUY
Villas start at €1-2m, Premium Villas start at €5/6m.
• As a foreigner expect to pay cash.
• You pay 10% down at signing, 10% in 2-3 weeks upon completing the survey and balance at close.
• Closing costs are for the buyer which are about 8/9% of the purchase price (includes tax, notary, lawyer, commission).
• The Golden Visa 🇪🇺 this is why many people buy in Greece. If you buy a property over €250k, you can qualify for this visa (you can be a joint owner of the property as well). This gives you a 5 year Greek residency, and you can travel unconditionally to any European country (Schengen) for 90 days per stay per 6 months. Renewable after 5 years.
• There are no rental restrictions. Rental tax is 22% on your profits if rented by a management company or 45% on your income above €45k if rented individually.

Serbian prosecutors have charged 19 people including two high profile defendants in relation to two execution-style gun attacks carried out in Greece in 2020.   
Those indicted for the shootings, which left four dead, include Darko Saric, a Serbian citizen born in Montenegro previously convicted of drug trafficking, and Veljko Belivuk, leader of the Janjicari, [Janissaries] a notorious so-called football fan group with links to state officials and the security guard industry. Both are currently on trial for multiple criminal acts.
“The defendants Veljko Belivuk and Darko Saric, as well as Radoje Zvicer, a citizen of the Republic of Montenegro against whom proceedings are being conducted in Greece for these criminal acts, have been identified as organisers”, Serbia’s Prosecutor Office for Organised Crime said in press release on Thursday. Seven people will be charged in absentia as part of the indictment, a joint investigation carried out by judicial authorities in Serbia and Greece. 
In July 2020, according to Greek police, two Montenegrins were killed in a villa in Halikouna Beach on the island of Corfu. The victims, Alan Kozar and Damir Hadzic, had multiple gunshot wounds. During the autopsy, 32 shell casings, seven fireballs and two metal fragments were collected. Greek police told BIRN in March they arrested one Albanian citizen over alleged involvement in the crime.
In January 2020 another two Montenegrin citizens, Stevan Stamatovic and Igor Dedovic, both 43, were shot dead with more than 20 bullets in front of children while dining at a well-known Greek tavern in Athens. 
Both murders are suspected to be part of a bloody war between two notorious Montenegrin gangs, the Kavac and Skaljari, which has left around 100 people dead across Europe in the past decade. Saric, Belivuk and Zvicer are suspected to be part of the Kavac clan. 
Saric is currently on trial in Serbia together with 14 others accused of overseeing a group that plotted to kill a witness involved in a case against the convicted drug trafficker and pressured police officers for confidential information.
In 2022, Saric was sentenced to 14 years on an earlier charge of smuggling 5.7 tons of cocaine from South America to Western Europe during 2008 and 2009. There is also an ongoing trial against him for laundering at least 20 million euros acquired through the sale of narcotics.
Veljko Belivuk is known as “Velja Nevolja” (“Velja the Trouble”), Together with other Janjicari members, he is standing trial for multiple criminal acts, including aggravated murder, kidnapping, illicit possession of weapons and explosives and drug trafficking.
Radoje Zvicer is one of the alleged heads of the Kavac drug gang, indicted for creating a criminal organisation and for murdering two members of the rival Skaljari drug gang.

Table of Content One of the co-founders of the OneCoin scam has been sentenced to spend 20 years in US prison, along with a fine of $300 million.  The OneCoin Scam On September 12, a judge delivered a 20-year prison sentence to Karl Sebastian Greenwood, a key co-founder of OneCoin, for orchestrating a colossal cryptocurrency scam that swindled over $4 billion from countless investors across the globe. The case sheds light on one of the largest cryptocurrency frauds in history, revealing the depth of deception and audacity exhibited by Greenwood and his cohorts. Karl Sebastian Greenwood marketed OneCoin as a credible alternative to Bitcoin, a facade that quickly unraveled upon scrutiny. His modus operandi involved crafting an intricate pyramid scheme that promised financial windfalls to new recruits, all while knowing that OneCoin held no intrinsic value or legitimacy. Empty Promises and Red Flags The United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York disclosed that Greenwood incentivized members to rope in fresh victims, amassing over $200 million in commissions within two years. This scheme exploited the trust of unsuspecting individuals who believed they were entering the next Bitcoin frontier. OneCoin, however, lacked the fundamental elements of a genuine cryptocurrency. It had no blockchain, conducted no mining operations, and arbitrarily concocted fictitious valuations that purportedly appreciated over time. Despite these glaring red flags, investors were duped into thinking that OneCoin could rival Bitcoin, a notion that was utterly baseless. The Magnitude of Deceit According to official records, OneCoin managed to generate €4.037 billion in sales revenue and accrued €2.735 billion in profits between the fourth quarter of 2014 and the fourth quarter of 2016. This fraudulent operation ensnared over 3.5 million victims worldwide, solidifying its status as one of the most significant fraud schemes in history. While countless investors suffered, Karl Sebastian Greenwood reveled in a life of opulence funded by his ill-gotten gains. He spared no expense, indulging in designer attire, extravagant timepieces, overseas real estate holdings, and even a down payment for a luxury yacht. His escapades extended to lavish first-class travels aboard a private OneCoin jet, stays at five-star resorts, and rented beachfront villas in picturesque destinations.  However, after being apprehended and charged by law enforcement, Greenwood pled guilty to wire fraud and money laundering in December 2022.  Ruja Ignatova: A Fugitive on the Run One key accomplice in the OneCoin saga, Ruja Ignatova, remains at large. Also known as the "Cryptoqueen," Ignatova vanished in 2017 after the U.S. indicted her on charges of fraud and money laundering. She played a pivotal role as the public face of OneCoin, orchestrating flashy marketing events and stoking hype while fully aware of the fraudulence behind the operation. Earlier this year, rumors circulated that Ignatova met her demise in Greece five years ago.  Source
