UCAS UNI DAY!

Today the diploma class went on a trip to the stunning old Manchester central (train station) convention centre on an educational visit to the UCAS #createyourfuture day. I believe that this day was very successful as I was given a lot of information that I had never heard before... after adopting many prospectuses, tote bags and free bees, we decided to call it a day. My favourite three universities where central st martins, this university offers a diverse range of courses which none of the others did ( most specialised in certain subjects ). Secondly London college of fashion, this university is in the central hub of London so all the fashion industry is round the outside, I was informed that if I was to study there I would be deffinalty Given a job/placement in the fashion industry where ever I wanted, also they suggested that I do the foundation course as it makes you stand out From the crowd of thousands. Thirdly Manchester school of art, I liked the sound of this university as the classes are small, this is an advantage as you are able to spend more time with the teachers/ lecturers and get more advice and guidance from them, also this give the chance to get more of a personal relationship with your teacher so they know the aim of your work and what your vision is. A good university to point out was Lincoln, this uni has been built with accomdation all the way round and shops/bars to create a sort of uni of lincoln hub, I thought this was a good idea as it would not cost money in transport when everything is on our door step. Over all this trip gave me a wider view into things like uni life, accomdation, grade boundries and requirements, I would like to that Vikki for taking us on this trip as it has opened my eye to look at the future of me and my work in industry and look to see what courses I want to study. Fantastic day enjoyed by all!!
