rad, do...do you not like Gaim or Ex-Aid?

not really much at all. there are PARTS I liked of Ex-Aid, and despite a lot of things it ended strongly I felt, though even then it fumbled super hard.

Gaim on the other hand was like... pure disappointment to me. It was a Kamen Rider story that specifically, and effectively, played against and stomped on it’s linchpin of hope. Pretty much the entire show was about how Kouta was going to change fate with his own hands, but at literally every turn, even with the ultimate battle of the series, the entire thing was a product of the wheel of fate going exactly as it would always go.

Gaim was frustrating to me in a way a lot of other shows weren’t because it didn’t... have a positive message. It wasn’t a great showing of heroism, it wasn’t a some big slap in the face against a horrible villain, hell, the ACTUAL villain and devil allegory of the series GOT AWAY WITH IT.

HE LITERALLY WON.

And like, between me not thinking it was ANYTHING of a good message to the kids watching it, and finding no joy in it because of how much of it was Gen Urobuchi going “Hey do ya’ll like pointless suffering? Cuz I sure fucking do” once again, because that’s all he can write I guess, it just... to say it rubbed me the wrong way would be an understatement. up until that point, Kamen Rider was a show I wholey enjoyed because it was one or two, sometimes more people standing up for what they believed in, and even when they couldn’t get it 100%, they would do their best and still come out on top, with their spirit on top.

So Gaim was kinda the antithesis of what I wanted and liked out of Kamen Rider, and seemed like a needless excuse to edge up a series that didn’t need to be edged up.

And Ex-Aid was a bit of a Gaim Lite situation, so like... I don’t loath Ex-Aid, but boy does it have some MAJOR failings.

Your sprites are so amazing! Do you do requests and/or commissions for them? There's a bunch of characters that I'd like, cuz I might make something using them, if that's alright?

Yep, I’ll take requests. I am generally not very fast with making the sprites, so I wouldn’t feel right doing commissions.

There’s a few stipulations regarding usage - I’ll just copy-paste what I’ve said previously:

1) The sprites can only be used in the appropriate RPG Maker Engine, due to these sprites being constructed from edited assets from these engines. These particular sprites use RPG Maker VX/VX Ace assets and therefore can only be used in RPG Maker VX or RPG Maker VX Ace. Other sprites I have made use RPG Maker MV assets and can only be used in RPG Maker MV. See my sprites page if you’d like to see which sprites can be used with which engine.

If you don’t have those engines and are interested, they are on Steam Sale right now. I would not recommend purchasing when they aren’t on sale.

2) They’re only for commercial-free use. Basically you can only use them in a game if you aren’t making money off the game. Since the characters belong to someone else I think this is reasonable, and probably not an issue for you but it needs to be stated anyway.

3) Also, this is a non-exclusive agreement: Anyone is welcome to use my sprites.

That said, I’d love it if you made something with them! That’d be amazing! Just let me know what characters you want and I’ll see what I can do.

STREAM ANNOUNCEMENT

So, I have to work overnight June 6th & 7th. So, in order to prevent me passing out half way through my shift, I need to stay up super late the 4th and 5th (sunday and monday). I might end up streaming those nights if anybody is interested.

But I do play the cornet and I know how to play enough notes on a piano to find my notes when playing or singing. I would like to learn how to play the wooden flute that I bought at the RenFaire or a lap harp.

Let me tell you about Crystalis.

Created by SNK in the 90′s (1990) for the NES, this game was best known by...no one. I have no idea why people didn’t play this.

Imagine if you will Legend of Zelda: Adventures of Link, except instead of an awkward over-world and side scrolling areas that, while they worked, felt a little awkward, they kept going with the top-down movement through areas from the original game. And instead of “magic” where you just lit candles or turned into a fairy to bypass needing keys (totally screwing up your game by doing so) you had actual magic like lightning bolts and fireballs and haste.

Also, you didn’t just upgrade a sword, you had 4 different elemental swords to use in certain situations, to change between, fully made towns with people and shops and such to interact with, quests more like Final Fantasy, a story that’s more than just “go to dungeon, kick boss in teeth, go to next dungeon” because again, the quest is more Final Fantasy, and extremely polished graphics for the NES, and you have a game that really should have been more than a cult hit. So...there. Crystalis.

That’s cool, as far as the actual models go, they’re actually pretty good. The animation itself is more what I was talking about.(though if you’re watching the blu-ray edits, then those look pretty good). And to answer your question, the 2016 anime, and consequentially the 2017 anime are direct sequels to the three movies. Also, I could never hate you, you’re cool

If they are direct sequels then I will need to see those. I am typically pretty picky about seeing everything in chronological order. This is why I would never want to watch Doctor Who because I would want to start at the way beginning and it would take forever to get to modern stuff LOL But since I am almost already done with this 2016 series I might as well finish. it says it is the simulcast version but I wouldn’t be surprised if it is the Blu-ray versions. I do think the animation flows really well in most scenes. I’m sure there are some examples of it not being done so well but the fight scenes especially are freakishly fluid like it looks as if they are fighting right in my living room LOL Also thank you very much for your kindness. That really means a whole ton to me, you have no idea!

Really? No love for the Wizardriver? Ya gotta Shabadoobie touch to henshin, brah!! That being said, the only problem I have with OOOs belt, is the donut. I hate the donut. Other than that it’s great. I will constantly shout “Ta To Ba! Tatoba, Tatoba! All day, and people at work think I’m weird.

The Wizardriver is neat, and I’d really like to own one, but I’d probably place it at like, #7? Maybe? It’s sounds are great, and I like the ring aspect, but part of the problem I have with it kinda bleeds into the actual toy belt itself because it’s like...

ANOTHER thing that you have to get what is most likely a set of overpriced adult sized bits of plastic for and that’s no good. But nah The Wizardriver defo gets love. The only drivers that don’t really get much love at all are the damn near useless ones like Ryuki’s and Hibiki’s

Yep, I can absolutely do VX Ace sprites if that’s what you need!

And cool, I can’t wait to see it! Of course I am fine with making sprites before that, but if you’d rather wait to see what exactly you’ll need, that’s fine too.
