Other Blogs: @polarisbibliotheque - I recently started this so I can go back to writing a little bit! I'm doing mostly DMC fanfiction for now, but more will come as inspiration strikes!

Blogs Following: Art related, DMC related, photography + culture (a lot on asian culture and history, like Vietnam, Japan, Korea, China), witchcraft in general, books + really old first edition collector books + libraries, rights related (human rights, activism, feminism, this kind of stuff)... Amount of Sleep: 4 hours or less. I'm a mess and my sleep schedule is non existent. I've been trying to study Astral Travelling just so I can study/multitask while I sleep, like Doctor Strange

Lucky Number: 7 and 13 - I used to say I'm the unluckiest person on Earth, so I'd use 13 as a lucky number because its "jinx" energy would neutralize my unluckiness and turn into lucky vibes (you know, negative plus negative equals positive?). I've been doing it since I was 13, so far so good actually

What I am Wearing: Dark blue velvety-like sports pants and dark blue gap sweater. Everything I own is blue or black and I don't regret it

Dream Job: Oooh boy. When I was in high school I wanted so bad to work with music - anything really. But now, after Law School and such, my dream job would be working at the United Nations or some International Organization where I can actually help people in need with my knowledge

Dream Trip: So many. Hahaha but I guess Japan and Korea are on top of my list, especially Japan. I have no idea why, since I was very little I've always loved that country and always wanted to pay a visit I blame Sailor Moon. Other countries I have as huge top priorities are Romania, Hungary, Austria, Italy and Greece ^^

Favorite Food: Tea and biscuits/cookies (I'm an old soul). Also, I LOVE Brazilian barbecue. And pizza.

Play an Instrument: I play the piano for +15 years now (I guess...?) It's one of the very few things that puts me at peace and I love music with all my heart. I like playing songs by ear - currently I'm working on some BTS songs and Devil May Cry arrengements. Someday I shall finish the arrengement for Bury The Light, but I'm currently working on refining DMC3 Total Result. I might post here if you guys like it ^^

Also, I'm learning to play the guitar by myself, so it's taking a while.

Language: Brazilian Portuguese, English, an intermediate level of understanding in Spanish, very VERY basic Mandarin and currently teaching myself French

Favorite Song: Starlight, by Muse. It's the same since I was 14 and it remains unconquered.

Random Fact: I studied dance for +10 years and participated on competitions and such. When I was 12, I danced Can Can and I had a solo where I would hold my right leg up to my ear and spin around during two whole counts (two eights, as we'd say here). When I tell people about this, they doubt me and even after so many years, I can still do it!

This is one of the reasons why I like BTS so much: I watch their performances and I get it - the nervousness before it starts, the feeling before going on stage, performing while everyone's cheering... I miss it. And I like watching them do it because I loved it so much - the music and the dancing, I get it when they say they could do it until they die. I miss that sort of passion in my life.

Languages: Pretty good with English and French, Vietnamese, teeny tiny bit of Italian and Japanese.

Favorite Season: Pretty hard to get a clear season from where I was born so I’m cool with any season, I used to live in Canada that I have no issue with the snow as I came out from the oven of the weather like Vietnam lmao )

Note: As always, individual schedules are up to roleplayers within reason. Any major individual schedules, especially those related to points claims, should be cleared with the main first. These schedules may be updated throughout the month if new information needs to be added.

Overall company

The company concerts last month brought in good profits and good media coverage and the court battle with Goeun has been kept out of the media for the first part lately (partially in thanks to BC’s own meddling), the hit taken from losing a member from one of their girl groups is fading at an optimistic rate.

Reminder: Following the news of the lawsuit with Goeun, BC has made it clear to all idols under them that speaking about the lawsuit publicly (be it through interviews, variety shows, or social media) is strictly prohibited.

September Company Schedules:

September 23-25: Chuseok (Idols will have time off from all schedules to spend with family or friends to celebrate the holiday).

Decipher

Their repackage release has been scheduled for December as a holiday present to their fans, so studio recording begins in earnest this month, meaning Decipher is working on a more relaxed schedule for their comeback than most of BC’s groups get the privilege of..

Some posts on Pann and other fan platforms have gotten a lot of traction recently accusing BC of sexism due to their treatment of BEE compared to the company’s other senior groups Decipher and Knight. It’s not a big talking point with the general public, but BC doesn’t want fans to blow it up into anything too big since it could drag other issues they’re trying to bury back into the spotlight. A lot of talk is happening among the higher ups, but “a lot of talk” is about all the members know.

Knight

Focus is on recordings for their next album this month. This album is the company’s real push for award season since their releases earlier in the year haven’t performed as well in sales and impact as they’d like to be competitive for the number of daesangs Knight usually gets. Some of the songs were cut from earlier albums and saved for this one, so the recording load isn’t as big as usual, and the music video for the title track will be filmed in the first half of the month before the b-sides are completely finished recording. BC is aiming for an October comeback so that they can fit in a repackage before the end of the year.

*Their image with the public has been steadily improving and there’s talk they may be permitted to move out of their dorm after this comeback and repackage if this continues.

Bingle Bangle is still charting in Gaon’s top ten and Lipstick has exceeded both the public’s and BC’s expectations of how they would fare without Goeun. BC groups rarely exceed expectations with how high the bar is set for them, but their continued success has BC no longer considering letting them slowly fade away like might have happened if they couldn’t perform as well without their main vocal. Plans for a tour are moving forward and are in the planning phases.

Sapa is like a wonderland to me with tons of off-the-beaten-track spots that will surprise you. It might even be the most fun adventure you have yet to experience

Because it is the best place to trek in Vietnam, there are various trekking spots ranging from easy to hard levels, from one day to multiple days. It can be confusing for first-timers deciding which treks to pursue and whether to trek alone or to join a tour. It’s a headache. But don’t worry, we can help you!

Weather is a very important factor in making that decision. It is necessary to have nice weather when you embark upon your trek because it can make or break the experience. Clouds can impede your view and the mud makes it difficult and sometimes unpleasant to walk up a steep slope. The best time to visit Sapa is from March to May and from September to November. It is dry and clean with sunshine during March to May, a very comfortable climate for traveling. But if you want to enjoy the terraces, September to November is the perfect time.

There are 3 levels trekking tour difficulty:

Level 1: Easy trekking. This also means playing it by ear. Walk around and pick the path you feel is best and experience the unplanned adventure. Normally these paths will lead you to small ethnic villages which will give you a brief understanding of Sapa.

Level 2: Medium trekking. These treks normally lead to pretty places that you may find on the internet, but they are not easy to access by car or motorbike. These treks are long but worth it. The most popular trek in Sapa is through Muong Hoa valley ,with a lot of undulating hills. You will pass the Lao Chai valley, Ta Van village, Ma Tra, Ta Phin or Hau Thao village on the way.

Level 3: Hard trekking. What can be harder than the trek to the top of Mount Fansipan peak? This is considered one of the most challenging treks for travelers. Normally, you will need 3 days hiking to complete the trek but it depends on what trail you take. For this trek, I recommend you find a porter to support you along the way. Market capitalisation hits 74.6 percent of Vietnam’s GDP

Vietnam’s stock market and fund certificate value reached 3.36 quadrillion VND (148.17 billion USD) in 2017, equivalent to 74.6 percent of the country’s GDP.

The listing of a number of major businesses drew both domestic and foreign capital into the stock market this year.

The HCM Stock Exchange (HOSE) said by the end of December 2017, market capitalisation on HOSE exceeded 2.5 quadrillion VND (nearly 110 billion USD).

Companies with the biggest contribution to the market size included Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (VNM), Vingroup (VIC), and PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (GAS). They are also the firms with the largest market capitalisation on both HOSE and the country’s stock market.

The divestment of State capital, equitisation and listing of many big enterprises considerably influenced the market. The 10 largest-cap stocks alone accounted for 56 percent of market value, HOSE noted.

The stock market also got a boost in late 2017 when the Ministry of Industry and Trade sold 343.6 million shares or a 53.6 percent stake of the Saigon Beer, Alcohol and Beverage Corporation Sabeco (SAB), gaining an estimated 110 trillion VND (4.8 billion USD).

Recently, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Company Limited (BSR) introduced investment opportunities. Foreign investors can own a maximum of 49 percent of BSR’s charter capital.

The State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) also held roadshows at HOSE to publicise the sale of its stake at Tien Phong Plastic Joint Stock Company (NTP), Binh Minh Plastic Joint Stock Company (BMP), Domesco Medical Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation (DMC), and FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company (FPT). All of these firms are among the 30 companies with biggest market capitalisation in Vietnam.

According to the recent Global Wealth Report of Credit Suisse, Vietnam is among the world’s leading markets in terms of market capitalisation growth in 2016 and 2017. Notably, the market capitalisation of VNM rose by 5 billion USD, VIC by 3.6 billion USD and GAS by 2.7 billion USD.

Deputy Minister of Finance Tran Xuan Ha lauded the local stock market’s performance in 2017. While market capitalisation was equivalent to more than 70 percent of GDP – the target for 2020, the derivatives market was launched, helping develop Vietnam’s stock market.

Data from the State Securities Commission showed that by December 19, 2017, the VN Index had reached 951.42 points, up 43 percent from the end of 2016 and also the highest level in almost 10 years.

There are 731 stocks and fund certificates listed on HOSE and the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) at present. They registered to trade nearly 959 trillion VND (42.29 billion USD) worth of their shares on the exchanges, up 30 percent from last year.-VNA
