DAY 12 (continued): We headed South, but first we ate some seriously delicious BBQ.
SERIOUSLY.  That barbeque sauce heart was a complete coincident, but 100% appropriate.  My feelings might have been so strong because it was like 9 PM, and we hadn't eaten since 1 or 2, but I'm pretty sure there was some kind of voodoo magic in those ribs.  And the best part was that I ordered a truck load of food, so I got to eat it the next day, too! Shout out to Knotty Pine Supper Club in Victor, Idaho!
I don't have a picture, but we also need to give some props to Pendl's Pastries in Driggs, Idaho, the next town up from Victor.  We were hoping to grab some coffee and update the blog at Pendl's on our first day in the area, but they're such a quaint little shop, they don't have Wi-Fi.  One of my favorite parts of traveling through small towns is checking out the local fare, especially coffee shops, so we made sure to go back before we left.  I had a hunch it would be a bright spot on our quest, and I definitely wasn't wrong!  On our way out of town, we stopped in for some coffee (I had an iced mocha, Eddie an iced coffee), and grabbed a couple ham and cheese croissants for the road.  DELISH. All the baked goods had our mouths watering, but we controlled ourselves.  If we're ever up that way again, though, I can't promise I'll exercise as much restraint- I'm still thinking about how good the German chocolate brownies looked!
