Behold! I made a lineup chart for all the major characters of my stories/world:

I wanted to have a reference for various characters' heights, especially since not all characters had set heights specifically. This helped me give everyone a certain height, as well as a place to compare them to each other. Furthermore, it's just a nice way to see what all of my characters look like in one place!

Introductions

Here, I'm going to share with you stuff about the world of Areth, starting with its most powerful royal family:

Queen Victoria Nevayra II - The current reigning queen of the Nevayran Empire. She is known as the master of secrets, and is a cruel, ruthless monarch. The general public doesn't know much of her crimes, but her court of puppets was built on oppression and manipulation. She spends much of her time trying to cover up her family's dark secrets...

King James Nevayra - Queen Victoria's husband, and the imperial king consort. A commoner from birth, he was introduced to the court by a friend, where he met and fell in love with Victoria. Against her mother's wishes, they married and had a daughter. Their lives were peaceful for a while, until their daughter's passing strained their relationship. They were never able to repair it, and he disappeared a few years later. Not even Victoria knows what happened to him.

Captain Alexander Averton - Victoria's older brother, who was denied the crown by their mother. Instead, she appointed him as general and captain of the royal guard. This never seemed to bother him much, as he continued this role into Victoria's reign. Through it all, he seemed to keep smiling. Eventually, he moved out of the castle and changed his name when he married in an attempt to distance himself from the aristocracy. Shortly before war broke out between a few other countries tied to the Empire, he was supposedly killed in action. However... his body was never recovered from this supposed 'border dispute'.

Princess Kat Nevayra I (yes, I named myself after her) - The daughter of Victoria and James. From the moment she was born, her parents wanted her to have the best life she could. As such, her life was full of joy, however brief it was. Unfortunately, she died at the age of six from a rare disease. But she isn't alone, as she has many ghost friends, including a peculiar thief named Felix, to keep her company. She now haunts the Nevayran castle, appearing and diappearing with a "poof!"

Prince Daniel (Averton) Nevayra - Alexander's child, nephew and adopted son of Queen Victoria, as well as the protagonist. He was a young boy when his cousin, and then father, both died. His aunt then adopted him to be her heir. Due to him being an elemental/caninadrin hybrid, Victoria forced him to hide his wolf-like characteristics. She also made him dye his hair black, so that they would look more like family. She never liked the fact that he looked like his mother, who adbandoned them shortly after he was born. Daniel has always had high expectations placed on him, from both his mother and everyone else around him. The pressure eventually got to him, and he ran away soon after his 21st birthday.
