IN ESSENCE, if you genuinely didn't know; goreguts is an EGREGIOUSLY possessive / codependent relationship that is mutually destructive ( & destructive to others if they're let loose actually ),

not to mention gore ( the narrator ) has inflicted UNFATHOMABLE trauma ( repeated death ) onto guts ( rosemary ) &, while unintentionally & entirely circumstantial, is technically the reason she's isolated from Literally the rest of the world & everything she used to know, then LEADING to this relationship where neither of them have anybody else & have embraced that to a sickening & violent degree

THEY'RE A VERY GENUINELY LOVING & HAPPY COUPLE TO BE SURE! but this comes from Desperation & having spent too long together in confinement,
