My first play through (and second play through 😅) Rook is a crow and this morning all I’ve been thinking about is “you call that nice & quiet?!?!”
Like imagine afterwards, even with all the other things that went sideways- Lucanis writing home to Viago like “tf are you teaching your fledglings de Riva??? Nice and quiet and Rook drops a 20ft mirror out of the side of Weisshaupt?? Is this why you sent her away?? Cause she’s constantly breaking shit??”

Hi! For your Rook questions, 12, 26, and 47, please!
12. Does Rook have any family? Do they keep in touch?
Biological family, no; they were found abandoned as a baby and spent their early years in a Chantry orphanage before being ‘adopted’ by the Crows. They consider House de Riva to be their family and give it their absolute (uncritical, undeserved) loyalty. In particular they’re close to Viago (at least to the extent it’s possible for anyone to be close to Viago) as they were trained in the same cohort and bonded over helping one another survive being raised by the Crows. They still work pretty closely together but when separated keep in touch (canonically, to my delight) by his sending them letters addressed to ‘Idiot.’
26. Rook is in charge of the grocery list. What’s on it?
What isn’t on it. Or rather, the list itself would be reasonable; left to fend for themself they subsist mostly on rice and whatever is currently easiest and cheapest to put on top of rice. Somehow, though, they can never seem to leave the market without all the fresh fruit and candies and pastries and street food they can afford to buy. They’re terrible with money and indulging in food is a particular weakness.
47. What’s Rook’s temper like?
Naturally on the hotter more impulsive side but they’ve learned to control it (mostly) in the interest of survival. They can easily brush off most offenses directed at them, but they don’t forget. Considerably less tolerant when it comes to mistreatment of others; serious offense against anyone they care about earns their instant enmity and puts that learned control over their temper to the test.
