This little man hit a new milestone this past week. He is now sitting up for minutes at a time without any support! He will be six months this next week and it is bittersweet to see him making such strides. While he still obviously needs us, the act of sitting up on his own is the first step to independently getting around. He is so close to crawling as well that we think he might be moving around before Christmas so this Black Friday I am buying baby proofing gear and probably a play yard for him to crawl around in. I’ve seen people use blow up pools but I want him to be able to practice crawling to develop those muscles. My little boy tried peanut butter this week which may seem controversial but I did a lot of research h and read a lot of studies that have been done in the last few years. The newest studies and recommendations state he should be eating peanut butter around this age to prevent allergies. This I why we had a surge of peanut allergies because the advice said to do the opposite in the last twenty years. His next food will likely be squash and then green beans or some other green veggies. So far he loves everything he has eaten! 🥰 my little man is so curious about food! We got him his own little chair to strap to a chair at thanksgiving so he can sit at the table with us at his first thanksgiving! I can’t wait for him to meet more of his family tomorrow for the first time!
