Pulled an all nighter to finally complete my definitive BG3 run (I'm still gonna play the game more times, I mean in terms of characters, personal canons and half canons, investment) and I feel so fulfilled. It took me months to finally pull it off, but it's done. Ta'rath, Joufos, Zilkon and Oulmat's endings went according to plan (even the non canon plans I did just for fun, romances I did just to see the character paths). My characters have evolved a lot since it started, and I think that run has really helped set in stone ideas surrounding them and how they'd develop in BG3. 133 hours of passion, happy late 1st anniversary BG3, I love you.

I need some rest so I can't go through all my screenshots and curate them quite yet, but have this wonderful one of Ta'rath and Joufos being...you know. I'll post more later, a lot more.

frontlines just doesn't hit the same without the taco bell bong sfx overlapping and going off when 20 people combust at once on the other side of the map, and fornax towering over everyone......pensive

Bad news for Star Wars action figure enjoyers because I just got the 3.75” Cad Bane figure and while this is what he looks like from the front—

… This is, unfortunately, what he looks like from the back.

They overlooked how things would appear at different angles and gave the guy with the most distinct and intimidating cowboy silhouette the most unflattering sculpt of a duster caboose I’ve ever seen

#So like. I guess if you’re one of those people who keeps them in the box to display you’re fine buuuuuut #heh. butt #Star wars #action figures #cad bane #They could have done a full split coat in the back #They could have made the duster fabric like they do for some other characters’ capes #They could have had both side swept back over the holsters and done better tooling on the folds #Also his face is the one from the live action not the cartoon so. same complaints there as back when I watched TBoBF #Like sure I usually prefer for the most practical effects to be used as possible #But like. you have to be able to deliver on it #And it’s Disney. they’re not lacking in money #They just don’t want to pay the right professionals to do good work #That one guy had that really good edited VFX vid done like a week after the episode #I’m going to see about modding his face to be closer to the original design #Hasbro sculptor: Hey you know who needs to have the look of a flat butt and jessica rabbit hips from the back?#Hasbro sculptor number 2: That guy based off of Angel Eyes from the most famous spaghetti western of all time?#Hasbro sculptor: Yeah that guy. I don’t know what Lee Can Cleef looks like but I’m pretty sure it’s not tall and slim and all angles

I feel like I'm barely a third into DT and already I'm in love with Koana. oh when was someone gonna tell me that you can download the source files for dao level layouts and face morphs (:

#hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha it's not like this is the most useful thing ive ever found or anything #ive been wanting to do so many things that require making new level layouts and not doing it because it's so complicated #like putting in backgrounds so it doesnt look like the world ends at the horizon #um. now i can just edit any area in the game #(well.. in the base game. shame about no dlc rip)#personal #lmao i found out about this stuff like an hr ago and it took a long time to find the nexus link rather than the bioware forum #sometimes bioware forum links are ok in the web archive but others redirect to the language choice page which doesnt redirect back #da #dao #da modding #dao modding #this also has sound and material and vfx and animation files #(animation is actually what i was originally looking for after trying to work out how to use the animation thing in the toolset)#(still no idea what to do there. got sidetracked by this)#if i hadnt already found the sound project files some time last year that would probably be the most exciting part of this #hmm.........nah ok the layouts would still be the most exciting #now. idk what i need to do to get lightmaps to work on my computer. but i guess that's the next step fml

Do your unicorns not have VFX sparkles for reasons you can’t find in your mods folder?

For me, it was this scared buff fix for servos on MTS. Take that out and my unicorns are sparkly eyesores once again! This modder seems to be pretty regular on updates, so I imagine it will be updated if you too use it.

The specific file was ScaredServoNoTears

This is a men's thighs in slutty shorts save after all ¯_(ツ)_/¯ kinda wish I could put that mod randomized instead fo depending on me accidentally checking it without realizing just for fun

but what matters, eye glow is working again. Shows up one time and bugged the crap out of me it was broken basically just that day

idk if khajiit always had whiskers and I just forgot or it's part of the fur pattern mod I downloaded but my kitty has whiskers and I'm very pleased

Also everyone shills for lux but it's so goddamn dark in general, elfx+shadows+enhanced is really the much better way to go for me, the dungeons are still dark but in a way that makes more sense given the KIND of light (torches, candles). Lux seems to overall darken the world which was especially annoying when I'm trying to make my character bc I couldn't fucking see, and it doesn't matter if I can make adjustments to said lighting if I can't do it until after I've made the character.

#realized also that between elfx + a mod that adds smoke vfx to candles the latter is redundant #and it looks a lil silly to have two diff vfx play at the same time over the candle but its not breaking my game #and im afraid to take it out bc i dont wanna do the intro for the 50th time this week after seeming to actually get my mods in a good order #which is a real possibility since i think its a script mod?? not sure but not gonna fafo either
