      ‎‎Allow me to introduce you to a part of a sizeable project to revamp the Cottage Living farm animals. And it's called... why, The Cowject of course!

      ᴘᴀʀᴛ ɪ‎ ‎‎‎‎‎‎ ‎ ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎ᴘᴀʀᴛ ɪɪ ‎‎‎‎‎‎ ‎ ‎‎‎‎‎ᴘᴀʀᴛ ɪɪɪ ‎‎‎‎‎‎ ‎ ‎‎‎‎‎ᴘᴀʀᴛ ɪᴠ ‎‎‎‎‎‎ ‎ ‎‎‎‎‎ᴘᴀʀᴛ ᴠ

      Part Ⅰ. Texture and Model       ‎‎I initially thought to only edit the texture ever so slightly but ended up completely retexturing the cow. The texture is now HD, still a work in progress, but fairly close to finished.       So far the major mesh alterations include: the conformation, hooves, dew claws, and eyelashes. I'll cover some of those in closer detail later!

      I'm not aiming to make the body hyper-realistic, but at least a little more anatomically correct and harmonious. The original mesh is undoubtedly super cute, but I deemed the changes necessary to suit my vision.

      I have also smoothed the cow's head and body to eliminate the annoying angular seams. I will try to fix the seam at the neck, but I'm not holding my breath.

      The hooves have also suffered a drastic change, at first I only gave them an extra definition via the texture, but later decided that wouldn't do.       I hope people will find this project equally exciting! I have many more plans and ideas I can't wait to share!

After seeing the animals' meshes and textures, it's clear the artists must've been under immense pressure to complete them as quickly as possible. I love the original farm animals, and it's out of appreciation I am giving them a new coat of paint.

Expansion of the project

Hello everyone who's followed me since retiring from Sims 4 content creation. I'm excited to announce I've teamed up with GhoulStudios to expand the project's reach. We have set up an Instagram, YouTube, and Patreon (links below).

I decided to set up a Patreon because I've already spent a fair bit of money on the project and expenses will continue to build, especially in hiring developers and artists.

Free membership is available and expect additional rewards to be added to tiers as development progresses (don't want to promise anything too early). I will try to continue to cross post here, but likely will be most active on Instagram and Patreon.

      My name is Vexbloom, some of you might already know me as an equine artist under Vakrai. You may also call me Rai [raɪ] or Vex, I prefer they/them pronouns.       VexbloomHollow is my art alias, and a new project I am very excited to work on!

      I’m a multimedia artist, both by profession and as a hobby. I’ve been creating digital art for over 15 years, with the last 10 years dedicated to doing it professionally.       My work spans digital painting & illustration, animation, motion graphics, and video effects. Recently, I’ve started learning Blender, to delve into modelling and animation.       Other than that, I’m a plant parent with an ever-growing collection of green babies, an enthusiast for all things equestrian, and a music geek. I love bird watching, director's theory cinema, and art, especially jewellery and pottery.

      The Sims franchise holds a very special place in my heart, I first fell in love with this pixel universe back when I was a wee little kid, playing since the very first game released. The Pets and Making Magic dlc’s were my absolute favourite, still bringing back the fondest memories!

      My favourite aspects of the game are building, painting animals in cas, and creating intertwined households with unique looking characters.

      With the addition of horses to The Sims 4, I’ve begun dipping toes into modding and creating custom content, which I’m very excited to share with you all! I hope to put my skills to good use, bringing high-quality equestrian CC to all the virtual stables!
