Interweave Crochet, Winter 2021
This issue has a focus on bulky yarn because the holidays are upon us and if you need to make a present, you need to make it now! So you see on the cover the two-tone Contented Scarf by Jane Howorth which is a combination of foundation mesh in crochet and then simple weaving by drawing yarn through that mesh. This is made in Sidar’s Snuggly 4 Ply and Gorgeous Ultra Super Chunky, and is only 1 out of 4 for difficulty.
The candy cane colored hat is called Pebermynte Hat & Cowl and I can’t decide if NTmaglia is teasing someone with a cold by spelling it that way. As colorwork, it takes 2 out of 4 for difficulty, and an article on colorwork crochet by Daniela Nil will help you to work your way up there. The yarn is Paintbox Yarns Wool Mix Aran. The sock change color of their own accord in Paintbox Yarns Socks which is another wool blend, so they are also a 2 out of 4 as you will need to concentrate instead on shaping. Vetur Socks are designed in Angela Plunkett. The Arctic Pullover goes up another level in difficulty and is worked in Brown Sheep Company’s Nature Spun Worsted. Kristen TenDyke  added picot stitch trim to the edges of the all-over lace floret design.
I give you the Project Index from the back page so you can see the other projects include another sweaters, more wraps, and some household goods including a rug and a garland what will make you ponder how many shades of green you have in your yarn remnants.
You can find it at your local bookstore, newsstand, or online here and the digital version means you can get to work right away: https://www.interweave.com/product-category/crochet/crochet-magazines/
