it’s funny how i’ve trusted two people more than myself to do our eyebrows. AND WHY ARE THEY BETTER THAN ME!!!! it’s unfair actually.

Ok, so there’s something I was a teensy bit annoyed at during c2e98 but instantly forgot about during the second half of the episode (due to, y’know, events).

This was not the first time Yeza mentioned “the Assembly Lady”... and they scramble to find her name... but never ask him anything else? I know he shared some info of what he knew about the experiments on the beacon when they freed him in Xhorhas... but come on. They have an idea about Trent, and about Ludinus, but they know SO LITTLE about Vess DeRogna - and Yeza MUST have more to say about his experience with her?

Just the way Matt mentioned it... he handed that hint out freely and they just went “yep!” And walked away without opening that metaphorical door. It’s the same as the numerous times they completely overlooked Essek vaguely (but very obviously) mentioning how familiar he was with certain members of the Assembly... no one followed up those statements at the time!

(not saying Essek would have answered honestly, but they surely would have gleaned some information they didn’t have if they’d just prodded some more, with their level of insight and perception his responses to further questioning on the subject may have been very interesting... eh I’m not as mad about this as I was before because the reveal ended up being so perfectttt)

I mean.. if they can question a potential housekeeper they way they did... or try to accost a disguised Dragonborn... or heavily extrapolate/contrive meaning from random (questionable/unreliable) sources... I just wish they’d apply that scrutiny to some of the more... useful clues Matt is dropping.

I completely get that it’s very different at the table, having all these threads and so many things happening... it’s easy to listen and scrutinise when you’re not an active player trying to think of what to do next/processing a lot of information and how your character would respond/sharing the time and RP with a bunch of other people. They do an incredible job, I love their work, I love them, I love their game.

But man I can’t lie and say I didn’t yell at the screen “ASK YEZA ABOUT VESS!!” when he brought her up. She’s an unknown quantity in this and I can’t help feeling that she’s important. Essek said something about her and Biting North right at the start of the episode? Up towards Eiselcross/where Caleb is vaguely aware there are magical power-sources? Not that Yeza would know about that specifically... they could just do with knowing more about her as a person/assembly member/POWERFUL MAGE.

Shit this post got out of hand and I’m gonna need to fact-check some things.
