Last week we @24carrottas folks were blessed to attend a Training and Fellowship at the world famous @agrariankitchen in New Norfolk. What a day!!? We got to your the gardens, see the evolution of new spaces, and we got to all cook and eat together. The largesse of 💗 Séverine and Rodney was felt in everything from the beautiful guest spaces, to the delicious produce cheekily winking in rows on the farm, to the meticulously appointed kitchen, to the one on one time they gave so freely to all of us.🎁 We were them handed over to Gardner/verdant visionary Mitch 🧑🏼‍🌾for a detailed look at crops, natural solutions, and guidance for our school and personal gardens. It was a dream of a day!!! 🌅 Some of the standouts for me personally was of course fellowshipping with my new peers.☺️ We shared working techniques, recipes, advice on how to maximize our time with 🏫 students and how to engage successfully with faculty. I also enjoyed conversations with the two Directors and what brought them to this incredible mission. But what I will take to my grave was watching Australians learn and enjoy making tortillas 🌯 from scratch. Rodney showed both applications of flour and real nixtamalized🌽 corn tortillas. He explained why the lye, why the grind, and why lard. It was awesome! I was so proud to see the truth told and shared around. I could just hear the Tias 🧓🏾and Aubelitas👵🏽 rejoice from Jalisco!!
