daniels working a minimum wage blue collar job & trying to go to his community college (cant afford to leave to go to any state school or shit like that) & armand relies on his dad. they want to run away together but poverty is keeping them trapped in their small town & who would believe daniel, some scruffy construction worker who never had a girlfriend, over mr de romanus, the local evangelical church's main supporter, if they were to come forward about his abuse of armand? besides, armand... isnt quite right in the head, are we sure he doesnt just misunderstand what his dad does? thats why he was homeschooled n doesnt have any friends other than daniel. this is for the best.
