So, when I said I was slow ? Make it slower because my laptop diedRIGHT when I was hitting the “post” button. So this is the second time I answer... maybe it’s for the best, because I had gotten pretty verbose in the first. GO STRAIGHT TO THE POINT ME ARE YOU A SCIENTIST OR WHAT

1. things thatinspire you

Shows, good characters, good character interactions and MISSING PARTS. Whathappened before ? What happens after ? How do the characters react to that ? Thiscompels me to write.

See also : SADNESS hahaha sadness is good material and i makes me want fluff so I make fluff.

18. favorite pairing to write

I don’t write manypairings but for now let’s say Mimi/Edmund (RS) obviously. I’d have loved to seethis unfold more in the show, but eh. At least we got a glimpse to get usstarted…

But if I’m allowed totalk about a non romantic pairing (at least that’s how I’ve been writing them,for now 😉 ), it’s definitelyJackson/Reid.Like, over any other romantic or not pairing. Those two, man. I’d be writing pages and pages of theminteracting on the stupidest small thing and I’d be happy. I live for theirdialogues.

24. favorite scene you’ve everwritten

I don’t really have any favourite (it seems I cannotspot one thing I like more than the rest of anything, when I love, I love).Especially in my stuff. But let’s say the end of the first chapter of “In theOld Alexandria” (hell that title). I enjoyed writing this little reunion and INEEDED to write it.

28. worst review you ever got

I never had any on myfics !!! I guess it’s mostly because I don’t have many and they’re mostly RS. This fandom is godl

Once however, I’ve had a very badreview on my original stuff, IRL, by someone who hadn’t even read the shit.Managed to offend me and to be ableist as fuck in one sentence. What a combo. Made me decide to nver talk about my writing IRL ever again. Anyway they can’t follow, as I write this and fics only in English.

29. favorite story/poem of anotherauthor

As I said, it’s very hard for me to decide. But I’dsay I have two favourites :

Your Mimimund stories, @soot-and-snide, are always a delight toread and put a smile on my face every time I do so. And I mean a genuine silly “AWWWHH” smile. I also love how you write Jackmund,especially in “It’s You” I think it fits the characters so well.

And @omg-okimhere ‘s ongoing “A Man Reborn”. Because I loveyour style, and it is fixing things that needed to be fixed for Bennet, and doesit gracefully.

41. one song that captures (insert story title)

ODDLY ENOUGH it seems that “Float” by Flogging Molly might have beengiving “Keep Afloat” its name. Edmund must appreciate the irony. The lyrics though. I think it fits. Yet in the end I don’t really think he manages not to sink his boat. Depends on what boat we’re sinking about.

49. writing advice

Your advices as I said were words of wisdom I will tryto write by ^^ here are mine, which are maybe (probably) repeating yours:

-write what you like. Not everyone will like, peoplewill find your ideas stupid, etc. But in the end you write for you and you do whatyou want

-write for fun. This goes with the first one. Don’talways write with the fact in mind that you will be read by someone else. Justwrite. If it doesn’t become a story at least you’ll have trained yourself atwriting a little more

-find a way to put your ideas down when they come. It’snew for me but I always have something like a piece of paper or even my phoneto put the ideas down. “Keep Afloat” was alternatively written in a train onwork papers, on the side of a river on a notebook, and in my bed at 1am on mycellphone, and for now it’s going a lot better than all the other fics I’veever tried to write.

- if you can and have interested people to do so with, discuss it. Exhanging ideas about your fics and the other’s makes for new ideas and perspectives. Special kudos to you @soot, @avatoh, @savageinkspillage and @ladyofdragonflies for helping me shape some chapters differently !!
