The reactor/nuclear reveal just had me in awe of props and the design team, but the tape is keeping my mind whirring

Jerri snorts, looking up from the pile of scrap he's digging through to grin widely at the vermint next to him. "Oh, you're definitely not the only one," he says. As if on cue, Jerri's stomach audibly growls, and he laughs.

Today is a rare day where Jerri is away from the motojus station, scavenging for resources to make more thingamajigs to sell. On the way, through sheer coincidence more than anything else, he'd run into Rumble, a frequent customer while investigating an old shack. Shortly after he'd registered that Rumble was there, however, the two were attacked by a pack of monsters. Thankfully, the ensuing fight wasn't too much trouble for either of them.

And now that they've both fought their way through the horde and survived, Jerri is perfectly happy to chat with Rumble while scavenging for resources in the ruins. He wouldn't necessarily consider Rumble a friend, not at this point, but they get along well enough, in his opinion.

"You ever thought about eating those things?" he asks, nodding towards the corpse of one of the monsters, a long-legged creature with large, twisting antlers. "I mean, like... I know they're not supposed to be safe to eat 'cause of the radiation n' shit, but I've always wondered." For a long moment, he stares at the body, flicking one ear thoughtfully. Maybe-

Before that thought can go anywhere, he lets out another snort and turns back to Rumble, cracking another grin. "Eh, guess that can be a mystery for another day. If you wanna come back to the motojus station with me after this, we have some food stored away. Consider it a 'thanks for not leaving me to die' bonus." He laughs again, his fluffy tail wagging back and forth.

The current leader of the Netra is Whisper, a small Vermint with a flat face and broad shoulders covered in fine silver fur. Despite their name, Whisper is incredibly loud and opinionated, and they are very open about their distaste for the Lotus colony. While the Netra previously would never consider openly declaring war, under Whisper’s leadership they are certainly coming close.

With the biomutant prequel lore I've decided it takes place before The Cradle is even habitable.

It's going to be a six part series involving characters who (for the most part) are unwilling hosts to the dangerous elements of the game: Radiation, Cold, Heat, Biohazard, and Hypoxia. Each one having a journey of learning alongside an apex predator that will later become one of the first in a series of "World Eaters" The Cradle will fave for generations to come.

I'm not sure on the exact order, but the first five sections are going to be about individuals and the last is going to be them all coming together at what will become The Cradle. As a note there is very slight ableism in the beginning of Cold's story.

Biohazard is aquatic based and can even breathe in contaminated waters. Their story is primarily about the idea that the true villains may be those closest to you. There will be chapters of duality showing the monster they are initially hunting down going through similar situations as their pact is trying to hunt down the Vermint group who took over their territory. In the end, these two outcasts will come together to escape.

Heat is more reptilian based and can bring the extra heat their body suffers into a pouch to then shoot out at enemies. Their story is about how anger can consume someone to the point of no return, as seen in the monster of their story. They will realize this in time to stop their plan or actions before it is too late. Though the monster is consumed by their anger, Heat eventually will calm them down with their own story and that the cycle of violence won't change what happened before.

Radiation is insectoid and has abilities of divination. Their story, mirroring that of their monster, is that of being more than the status you're born into. They were born with an ability that took them away from their family to live a noble life, the monster a beast of burden. The two start a revolution in their own ranks and eventually come to terms about fighting together for their cause.

Cold is a child, more akin to a lemur. The only abilities they have is cold resistance and they can manifest ice spikes (including teeth). Their monster actually adopts them from the beginning as Cold's family abandoned them for being blind and the monster had lost their pups. A very growing bonds of found family type.

Hypoxia I'm not set on the design of. I'm thinking more bat-like. Their story I'm the most unsure on, I definitely want to focus more on the harsher side of surviving. Not sure how their monster will come into play.
