Ok a lot of people don’t know who Tame is which… I get it, he’s obscure. But let me paint you a picture.
** Body horror CW ahead **
The year is 2001. You can’t sleep, so you go sneak into the living room and turn on the family TV. Like a technicolor fever dream, you put on the cartoon channel and find there’s a Vermin Haywired marathon on. That one cartoon you’re not allowed to watch that only comes on in the wee hours of the night.
You watch this weird pig-man commit increasingly horrible crimes. He injects a living metal worm into his body *for science*, with the intention of having it take over his brain so that he doesn’t have to feel any guilt for his highly unethical experiments. He does questionable science experiments on a kid with implied religious trauma. Years later he has that same kid’s gay rat boyfriend unalived which sends him into a depressive spiral (he thinks he’s just “missing” and keeps searching for him), only to reveal months later that he’s been alive ish the whole time but turned into a zombie. He creates a living Frankenstein-like bioweapon that isn’t supposed to have feelings but develops them anyway, and treats them like garbage which gives them some sort of love-hate complex towards their creator. Probably even more crimes too.
By the end, most of his body has rotted away, leaving exposed metal and wires of the worm beneath his skin. The kicker? *His brain was untouched the entire time.* All that stuff he did? 100% driven by his own fucked up brain as much as he wants to deny it and shift all the responsibility onto the worm.
Why would anyone love Tame though? He’s so cringefail. He’s hilariously out of touch with pop culture. He’s awful in interesting ways, the kind of guy to be studied under a microscope. He’s also extremely driven by ego and it’s all the perfect setup to an entertaining villain downfall plot.
