If snow and vermin were in the warriors album (the loyal music-man and impulsive brawler in the warriors book and movie) who would you want to have played them? I have some fan casts lol

- Renee Elise Goldsberry (for snow or vermin): it'd be so iconic if they got all the schuyler sisters in there lol

- Emmy Raver-Lampman (for snow): her vibe idk I just really like her she's so talented

- Karen Olivo/KO (for snow or vermin): their vocals and their strength seem fitting for either role

- Mandy Gonzalez (for vermin): her voice with a badass role like that???? Cmon. (I'm just really gay leave me alone)

- Ariana DeBose (for snow): just watch the movie and you'll see the vision it just fits

What if we just add in the Warriors who got left out in the musical to fanfics. Like when something is set back in Coney, before or after the events of the musical, just have Snow or Vermin show up or something. this does mean im gonna have to do some research on the movie though.

Which Redwall Villains could've won their fights, Part 1

Does anybody else feel a little proud when one of the Redwall villains puts up a good fight in the Climax? Considering how often they just end up getting killed accidentally by falling into a hole or being killed by something getting dropped on them, it's nice seeing them do a decent job. So I'm gonna see which ones had an actual chance of winning.

In 1 on 1 duels, this is pretty straight forward, but for fights where they flee due to numbers, I'll go off of a win/loss ratio depending on how many they could beat individually, as if they had managed to split them up. No tricks, just their regular weapons.

The first one that comes to mind is, of course, Cluny the Scourge. Perhaps one of the only fights in the Series where the Combatants were well-matched. Of course, though Matthias was buffed by Martin's spirit, he still wasn't quite up to snuff. If it hadn't been for his quick thinking, Cluny probably would've become ruler of Mossflower. At least until the Long Patrol showed up. That's a point to the vermin.

I wonder who the Badger Lord/Lady was at the time? Mara, perhaps? I doubt she would still be around.

Tsarmina severely injured Martin, but she still fled like a coward and drowned. Even if she didn't flee, Martin would've won anyway though he might've died in the process. Point to the Redwallers due to Martin's Chad energy overpowering her mind.

Honestly, Slagar didn't have any options other than running when the Gang started chasing him. But he still died like a chump. Got bitten by Asmodeus Poisonteeth and survived, but died because he forgot fall damage was a thing. Even if he could fight any of them one-on-one, he'd lose 3/5 of those fights. Because Cheek is a kid, and if Slagar is good at anything, it's beating those up. Jabez Stump is just kind of a guy. Slagar was always more of a schemer than a fighter. Point to the Redwallers, due to being completely outclassed by Matthias the Warrior, Orlando the Axe, and Basil Stag Hare.

Gabool the Wild was gonna die, no matter what happened here. Much like Slagar, he also had no other choice but to run. Also alike to Slagar, he also fell into a hole, but this time he died because he got killed by the Scorpion lurking in that pit. That was the first time a Villain accidentally died by their own hand. He still gets a better score in the win/loss ratio because I think he has a better chance of taking on any member of the Group individually. About 2/3, since Mariel, Dandin, and Durry are still inexperienced. Joseph, much like Jabez, is just a guy. Rawnblade and Tarquin, though? Tarquin might have invested in bard stuff, but he's still Long Patrol. He could probably kill him. That's gonna be a point to the Vermin.

Total Vermin Points: 2

Total Redwaller Points: 2

Point Ratio: 1 to 1.

The Light Inside.

Miyana always believed in the light of the sun.

She longed to see its truth, see its beauty - and when Karim initially began talking about his plans of restoring the kingdom, he made it seem so effortless and easy.

He made it make sense. 

The Sunfire Elves were the purest form of the sun. Humans were vermin of darkness - creatures that always caused damage and chaos, that took until land was barren of life. The very culture of the Sunfire Elves must be preserved, free of blemish - the race shall be purified. 

But now, a light shone inside her. 

Her mother always said, “You think the sun is bright? You think Queen Khessa is the sun? Ha!” She would foolishly stare into the sun as she said it - something that only the most well-trained Mages and Sun Warriors were taught to do. “Wait until Queen Khessa has children. Then she will see the true light.”

She was right. 

And to live - to be spared and given amnesty - meant that light would shine. Second chances as traitors were rare. She had the chance to live again and share this light. 

But Karim did not see it that way. 

“And…how is our heir?”

The question struck her harder than any arrow on the battlefield. 

“Heir?” Her lips dried from the very question. “Is that how you see our child?”

“I am only thinking of the future, Miyana.” Future? What future? You are a traitor, in jail. Your hands are literally in shackles. There is a date set for your execution.  “This heir will play a great role in the rebirth of the Sunfire Empire. It's what we dreamed of.”

Yet, her dreams had changed.

She doesn’t remember what she said next  - the words just fell from her lips without thought, something about fighting for their child. 

He didn’t even call it that - their child. 

Once all was said and done, Miyana felt herself being led out by the human queen.

No. Enough of that poison. Queen Amaya- she had earned that right. 

Yes, her dreams had moved on - but in reality, her destiny was now tied to his. 

My child shall be more than simply an heir…

A gentle hand grazed her shoulder. Glancing up, Miyana stared into the Queen's face. It held neither anger, nor disdain, nor cruelty. 

But inside Queen Amaya’s eyes was something else more devastating: the look of pity.

Miyana always believed in the light of the sun. She believed in truth, in beauty - she believed in fighting for that right, although the path had so drastically changed. 

She prayed that somehow, someway that the light would relieve her of this burden of destiny.

Okay just finished listening to it heres my rant (overall positive!):

First of all shout out Lin Manuel for even like bringing attention to the Warriors and making this it was so good overall in my opinion! I really liked the different genres touched on through all the songs I thought that was really cool especially with the different gangs having different styles. I think the choices of differentiation between the album and the movie plot/original script were interesting. Overall I think i liked/was fine with most the changes and Im not going to sit here and shit on the things I didnt like because im not that big of a hater especially when it comes to anything involving the warriors, the only change i will say i dont like/dont understand is Snow and Vermin not existing??? Thats still so odd to me… anyways though, it was sooo good and a really good experience to listen to if you like the warriors and aren’t a dude bro about them. Hopefully this brings exposure to the warriors that isnt 50 year old men!

Also some of my favorite things, Kim Dracula ATE as Luther holy shit huge props, all the warriors cast was absolutely amazing as well and I think they personified their roles well, I liked the dynamic between the Warriors in this and how it differed a little from the movie yet also I feel pulled certain things from the movies more, I really liked how Luther’s songs were kind of metal-ish as I’m a metal fan so that was a nice touch, LESBIAN SWAN AND MERCY GOD HAS BLESSED THIS DAY THANK YOU LIN MANUEL LESBIAN LOVER HOLY SHIT IM SO GLAD THEY DIDNT CHICKEN OUT OF MAKING THEM LESBIANS WOOO🏳️‍🌈, the ah-she-ca parts were so catchy loved it, i feel like i could see choreography in my head for certain songs which was cool, i think Cowgirl getting bit was funny like why did they include that LMAO, I really really loved Mercy and Swan and I just had to mention that again, also I feel liked if Im going to give anyone an award for like imo playing their character movie accurate I’d give it to Rembrandt literally solely because I feel her voice was perfect and fit rembrandt so well.
