La unión extraordinaria entre Hernán Cattaneo y Verlk nos trae un lanzamiento memorable y cargado de emoción e historia. El remix de “En la Ciudad de la Furia”, una de las canciones más importantes del rock en español, de la legendaria agrupación argentina Soda Stereo, en una versión potente de estos talentosos innovadores del sonido y la música. 

Hernán Cattaneo cuenta sobre este proyecto:

“En los últimos años había hecho algunos pequeños edits electrónicos de canciones de Gustavo Cerati para terminar shows en Argentina y todos tuvieron muy buena repercusión. A su vez, veníamos hablando hace rato con mi amigo Verlk de hacer juntos un remix de “En La Ciudad de la Furia”, ya que era uno de nuestros temas favoritos de Soda Stereo.

Así que cuando finalmente se anunciaron los shows de marzo en la Ciudad Universitaria lo primero que pensamos fue que no había mejor lugar para hacer sonar ese remix y activamos el proyecto para poder cerrar Sunsetstrip Buenos Aires con nuestra versión. Fue muy emocionante vivir ese final con Soda Stereo, las enormes pantallas prendidas fuego de punta a punta y el público lleno de sorpresa y emoción.

Mientras prepara su próximo Sunsetstrip que sin dudas será nuevamente arrollador, Hernán Cattaneo estrena junto al multi-instrumentista Verlk, el remix que coronó el cierre de la última edición en Buenos Aires y provocó la ovación de toda una multitud, cautivada por el sonido glorioso de esta canción que ha llegado a niveles insuperables de permanencia y trascendencia.

“El primer recital al que fui, fue la presentación del disco Dynamo en Obras, con unos jóvenes Babasónicos de teloneros. Ser parte de un remix oficial de la banda 30 años después es aparte de un gran honor, una convergencia emocionante”, expresa Verlk sobre esta versión.

El Dj argentino confirmó la 4ta edición de Sunsetstrip Buenos Aires, invitando a vivir dos atardeceres inolvidables que se realizarán el 2 y 3 de marzo en Ciudad Universitaria con una nueva propuesta superadora. Hernan Cattaneo's 2017 North American Tour + 'Balance Presents Sudbeat Mixed by Hernan Cattaneo'

The highly acclaimed Balance Music series is collaborating with the South American label Sudbeat, which Hernan Cattaneo and Graziano Raffa cofounded in 2009, for Balance Music‘s next double disc compilation. Cattaneo features unreleased and exclusive material from Sudbeat‘s roster in collaboration with Balance Music on Balance Presents Sudbeat Mixed by Hernan Cattaneo, which will be out worldwide digitally on February 24, 2017 and physically on March 3, 2017 in North America. To coincide with the release, Cattaneo has North American tour dates booked in March that include Washington D.C., Brooklyn, Montreal, Miami Music Week, and Chicago with dates following worldwide.

Having celebrated Sudbeat‘s 100th release last year, Cattaneo describes Sudbeat as “Global in ethos; South American in spirit.” With Raffa as Sudbeat‘s Label Manager, Cattaneo has the following to say, “We both think that musical identity is crucial.”

In regards to the new compilation with Balance Music, Cattaneo says, “Like every other album I did, I always want to showcase my sound at a certain moment in time. Working as a DJ, I get hundreds of links with new music every week. It is a great opportunity to discover really interesting stuff to put on the label. When you have a clear music identity and so many great artists on the label, it’s really enjoyable to put together an album like this.” The compilation features Sudbeat‘s network of up and coming talents from around the world, including a few of Los Angeles’ very own rising artists like Anton Tumas, Tara Brooks, and Dance Spirit. Cattaneo also has this to say, “All music on the compilation is exclusive and unheard before, so I’m sure all our followers will be very pleased to find so many fresh tracks to discover. Both mixes are the perfect example of Sudbeat’s identity that of course is also mine as a DJ.”
