get hit with design ideas for BBS idunn right as I'm supposed to be getting ready for work AUUUUGHHHH
#im replaying bbs with my partner so ill be gathering idunn lore#i cant seem to settle on a visual aesthetic for them so my idea is that they cant have their full lolita-esque outfits#bc they got displaced by time and dont have access to anything very fun in the land of departure#and im trying to figure out what kind of armor pieces to give to them. like terra has his full arm + aqua has her little arm pieces + shoes#ventus has his chest piece etc etc#so im thinking either a neck piece or a head piece and something at their waist. or cool gauntlets that stick out from under their sleeves#bc i wanna give them big bell sleeves. like old school gothic / hime blouses#idk maybe a little head accessory would be cool. they have their headband#val.txt

Anyway i have some Theories on what’s gonna go down in KH3. Not everything but some of the stuff, mostly involving Terra, Ven, and Aqua’s fates. This is long and filled with rambling, all under the cut. Pls feel free to message me and Discuss this stuff with me because I want to do nothing but talk about Kingdom Hearts rn
So first off, it’s basically confirmed that Sora is gonna help get Aqua out of the Realm of Darkness (RoD), this we already know. KH3 is gonna start off in Olympus Coliseum but I’m guessing that they’re gonna try to find a way into the RoD after that. Probably hit up a couple worlds to stay with the KH feel of visiting cool worlds. Anyway, it probably won’t be the whole game of trying to find the RoD entrance because there’s soooo much to cover in KH3.
This is probably where the scene in the trailer with Xemnas and Ansem’s Heartless are talking to Sora about Roxas and darkness will come into play. It would make sense for them to go back to Twilight Town as that’s how they found the entrance to the RoD before to get to The World That Never Was. I’m thinking that scene is actually pretty early in the game, probably within the first 5-7 hours of gameplay. We may get a brief thing of Sora doubting himself/the power of light and wondering if darkness really is the only way to achieve what they need to do, but I can’t imagine he’ll be that way for long. (as much as I LONG for dark!Sora, I really don’t think it would happen)
The RoD entrance will be discovered after that and they’ll either briefly enter or somehow find a way to draw Aqua out. (based on the 0.2 opening and the sneak trailer from forever ago of Sora finding Eraqus’s Keyblade on the Destiny Island beach, I’m gonna guess that the door in the Secret Place in Destiny Islands is their entrance) Once Aqua is found and seen to and caught up on the events of present day, they’ll have to go find Ventus. They need Aqua for this since she’s the only one who can navigate Castle Oblivion.
I’m thinking that we’re gonna get to go back to Castle Oblivion. It won’t be climbing the floors like in CoM, but we’ll probably get to run around a little bit. But we’ll have Aqua to lead the way and she’ll find Ventus. (tbh I don’t have a prediction on how Ventus will look after having slept for 12 years - will he be older, will he look the same? Is it like some FMA deal where Sora has been basically living for him in the sense of nourishment from food etc? Will he have super long hair and dusty clothes? I lowkey think he’s gonna look exactly how Aqua left him but SE has sooo much they can do with Ven’s appearance)
Once Ventus is found, it’s the matter of restoring his heart and waking him up. Now this is complicated due to not only Sora’s heart but also the existence of Roxas (not to mention Vanitas and Xion). Based on the DDD opening, with Roxas as one of the important people standing at the end against Xehanort, I’m gonna throw down money on there being some heart weirdness and vague explanations of how Roxas has grown his own heart and can now exist as his own person. But it won’t be so simple. They’ll take Ven out of CO (or Aqua will change it back to the Land of Departure, though I’m more banking on her doing that at the end of the game, to show that light and darkness are back in balance and everything is Okay again) and store him somewhere safe (probably with Yen Sid) so that they can figure out how to restore his heart.
(There’s allllsssooo the idea that they just might leave Ventus in CO and come back for him later, since no one can find him except for Aqua, and Xehanort probs wants to destroy Ventus, mostly out of spite because the boy wrecked all of his Dark Plans)
I feel like there’s gonna be an encounter with Terra-nort around this part (also I have no idea who they’re gonna get to voice old Xehanort now though (RIP Space Grandpa) but I can’t imagine that they’re just gonna avoid having him talk the entire game) in which he discovers that Aqua is free and it probably causes Terra to wake up inside gain control enough to give them a warning of what’s to come or just to assure that he’s still present in there.
After the encounter, probably will go back to Yen Sid to discuss the warning and Xehanort’s plan. Also, Kairi and Lea are new Keyblade wielders and need someone to train them. Why Aqua and Riku! You’re a Keyblade Masters - why don’t you stay here and teach them and also get out of the way so Sora can go around to different worlds for a while
Meanwhile, Sora flies around finding out more about Xehanort’s plans and ways to restore Ventus’ heart. Maybe will even destroy Xehanort’s Horcruxes those with pieces of Xehanort’s heart while he does it OR discover a way to separate Xehanort’s heart from them (which would give them info on how to possibly save Terra and Ventus)
I don’t really have ideas about this whole in between yet, such as HOW Roxas will become his own person and HOW Ventus will be woken up but I’ve got a few ideas about the ending and the VAST amount of possibilities we could get.
My bet, right off the bat, is that when the time comes to fight Xehanort (which will involve Sora, Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Ven, Aqua, and Lea against Xehanort and his Horcruxes) in the fight against Terra-nort, he will be weakened enough that Terra will gain control and pull a Sora from KH1 and plunge the Keyblade into his own chest, releasing his own heart and the piece of Xehanort’s heart. (Basically a Percy Jackson style ending where the evil is defeated via the host of the evil sacrificing themselves for the good of all). I have a HOPE that in doing so, Terra himself will be freed and return to himself but I doubt it.
Following that, with all of his Horcruxes out of the way, the final fight with Xehanort will take place. Part of me thinks that Things will happen that wind up with it being a one on one Sora vs Xehanort but given the final fight in KH2, I’m holding out hope that we’re going to get an interactive fight with Sora calling on his friends through reaction commands to help him defeat Xehanort.
What I really TRULY want is for something to go Wrong during the fight and Sora to be in peril and the others can’t help for some reason and as it looks like Xehanort is about to win, Terra’s armor appears (with Terra’s heart having returned to it) and fights off Xehanort long enough for Sora to get his feet back under him and deal the final blow.
Probably a lot of tears after Xehanort is defeated (most of them from me, bawling like a baby). Terra may or may not return to himself - my bet is he probably won’t, but some sort of afterimage type deal will happen for him to say a proper goodbye to Ven and Aqua and apologize for everything. They’ll say there was nothing to forgive, cry, and he’ll fade away, happy to have at least seen that his friends would be alright.
And so dark and light are in balance again. Heartless still exist (unless Ansem the Wise pops out of nowhere with some bs about a weapon to destroy them all which I wouldn’t be surprised with) but there’s measures to be taken to see that they are taken care of. Sora, Kairi, and Riku go back to the Islands (THOUGH I WOULD LOVE FOR THEM TO TRAVEL TOGETHER), Roxas and Axel go back to Twilight Town, and Ven and Aqua return to the Land of Departure and set out restoring it and possibly preparing to train the next generation of Keyblade wielders. There’ll probably be some vague threat of darkness returning to leave things open for a sequel series, like Nomura has hinted at, but things are, for now, Good.
Anyway, that was my very long ramble on how I see some of the things in KH3 going. There’s a lot of stuff I didn’t mention, such as how the Foreteller’s story fits in and the deal with the black box and LOTS of other stuff but that’s because I don’t really have an idea for it right now. This is just sort of me putting ideas down. But thanks for reading!! Please message me if you wanna discuss theories!! None of this will probably happen but I can DREAM
