my soul lives to pay compliments, but i'm afraid to write to everyone individually, so here the thing: i want to thank each of you who makes gifs, edits, writes fanfiction, searches for information about real veterans, finds bts photos, those who draw, makes memes, and especially those who just share their thoughts. whether it's thoughts about a character (silly or serious) or an episode, about a great shot, about your feelings about this or that occasion, or just your comments, y'know. i just adore you and your beautiful minds. and you have an amazing mind. and if you don't have anyone to tell you that, then i'll tell you 'cause it's true. you are helping me get through these days and i will try to help you with it too.

i saw here somewhere that there is a fanfiction written about joe's character study (which i haven't read yet, but i'm going to) and i really wanted to read one about george. it's just, you know, i'd like to get to know him better, what's going on in his head and behind all these jokes.

'bout six or seven years ago, i met an elderly man who stopped me and said that i walked like a soldier. at first i was like??? pardon? but then he smiled, and it was clear from his eyes that he was not here, but in his memories, you know, just like they describe in books. then he said that i reminded him of his boys and that he misses them. "you're not a boy or a soldier," he said, smiling, "but i saw my youth in you." and you know what?? that's still the best compliment i've ever heard addressed to me. and today i walked at a measured pace and looked at the streets and people from under my brows, and then i choked on laughter because i thought in my mind: "my lord, i'm copying ronald speirs."

i have three edits in development: one with winnix pov lewis, another with speirton, and the third with webgott (i just came up with it. i think he's the one who messed up my blood) i do not know which one to do first, so i do not do any of them. if i were paid a dollar for every person who is associated with sharks and one day, going out into the ocean, would not be found, i would have two dollars, which is not so much, but it is strange that i have them. eion bailey and rob stewart, i mean you. if you somehow haven't seen rob stewart's «sharkwater» movie yet, then what are you so busy with? however, this film is not that easy to watch (at least for me, i cried throughout the movie), so be prepared.

we're all very lucky that i can't write, otherwise you'd have a fanfiction based on a 'murder song (5,4,3,2,1)' by aurora. i haven't decided exactly which characters the story would be about, but i think sledge and shelton would be great. yes, i would have killed gene in this story (well, not me, shelton would have pulled the trigger) feel bad just thinking about it, to be honest, but god, i really want to get this story on paper.
