I've had this silly AU idea floating around in my head for a while and I think it's time to share it

So how it goes is the Eddie, after becoming a name that most work places avoid, needs money. He needs to pay his bills and buy food for him and Venom and starts looking for more niche jobs

what does he find? Vtuber... NOW HANG ON-

it's like a last ditch attempt, either it works and he doesn't have to show his face and name, or he spends all this money on a good model and fails miserably- and if he fails, well he was gonna end up on the street anyways so might as well give money to someone who may need it

but it does end up working! and the entire AU is Eddie becoming a popular Vtuber streamer

his lore is basically what happened to him in real life, just with a few changes: he was a reporter who, in an effort to find the truth, stumbled into a secret lab and found Venom (Venom keeps their name since the public doesn't know about them)

People love their dynamic of flopping back and forth between working perfectly together, and having a live divorce 5 times per stream. Eddie still does do reporting and talking about things happening in the world and online, but they also play video games. Sometimes Venom even does solo streams late at night to talk with chat about actually the most random topics

brain has supplied me silly modern au where robo-ky and ky are twins, but robo-ky is a vtuber who has a lil robot persona and is also embarrassing. (he and venom r dating)

oh yeah i forgot- PROLOGUE 4 IS HERE! (and this time it didn't take 3 months,,,)

that means that this is the end of the prologue! next update, about late December/early January, will include art of all main characters and their online personas (as well as some extra concepts exclusive to ao3)

then after that, will be the beginning of the fully drawn chapters! They'll be drawn in a manga style so I hope that's something that interests you >:D

See, now it makes sense why that 15 minute Calm story and all those Waze voice lines made me so happy

Vtuber Venom is now (almost) real, here it is! The first like. 3 or so chapters are gonna be purely exposition and world building (i guess), but then everything after that will be short slice of life bits of their streams and off-camera life in this AU!

(if there are any stream ideas or funny scenarios you'd like to see, i will be very happy to try my best to make them happen <3)

i cannot believe that the first fic i'm making for this fandom, the first thing i've written in like. 2 years.. is now about my Vtuber Venom AU

Making concept art of what the VEnom model is gonna look like and what toggles/animations it would have and i've decided that, storywise, there is going to be a V1 at first, and a V2 model later down the line (once they actually have the money for it)

I'm making little notes for it all and just.

the V1 has like 10 notes, a few toggles, like 4 faces, pretty simple.

the V2?

I've filled up nearly 2 pages worth of short notes of new faces, new toggles, new animations, clothing, and more- like i have a whole section about special toggles/animations for a lean in mode (the new meta of models having a lean in toggle lmao)

so uh. be prepared for that (i can't rig a model but i can draw! i can draw them!)

Was meant to go to the rez today but I think I caught something, feelin all sick and am just melting into my bed while listening to the Epithet Erased: Prison of Plastic audiobook

On the bright side, Jello’s writing style has given me a ton of inspiration and my foreseeable future in bed does give me the time to start of the next chapter of the VTuber Venom AU fic- we take wins where we can get them

NAME IDEA:

As a whole, they are called VEnom but! Just the Symbiote is named "V" and just Eddie is "E" so they can still do their whole "We Are Venom"
