All of the brothers have been names names of Latin origins. Some of them may overlap with Italian words or other languages, but the meaning of the names are supposed to be Latin overall. The brothers' family name, Amias, means 'loved'. Emlyn is a variant of the Latin name 'Aemilia', derived from the Latin 'Aemilius', which itself is derived from 'aemulus' meaning 'rival, trying to equal or excel, emulating'. Amaro means 'bitter, bitterness'.
