Veluda(Vaggie), Character Redone

She is starting the series named Vaggie, but that becomes her dead name rather early on so I will be calling her Veluda/Velu for the rest of this post.

The angel reveal is happening very differently, as Charlie isn't going to Heaven in season 1. The meeting with Adam was pushed to Act 2, with the death of an exorcist directly following it after their portal mysteriously malfunctions, forcing the angels down into the weapons industry sector and a confrontation with a certain angelic arms dealer.

Charlie finds the body in the aftermath, gets her first close up look at a maskless exorcist and puts some stuff together. Goes home to confront Veluda directly.

While their fallout is certainly given time, and many things about her unprocessed religious trauma, deep guilt and redemption only through death mentality is learned, but won't be fully dealt with until her arc with Carmilla in Act 3.

the real secrecy plot happens around whether they tell Lilith, known heaven, exorcist and angel hater.

Lilith is the one who ends up given Veluda her true name. Gaining a murder daughter.

Very notably, Charlie is Veluda's grace-source, or God, if you want to put it that way. A necessity for any angel separated from the grace of heaven, and neither of them know that at the start.

Part of a triad of relationships exploring what it mean for a person to be like God. Also including the OGs, Lilith and Lucifer... and Clara and Odette. Carmilla's daughters, one from earth, one a fallen exorcist. But more on them later.

One of the most interesting quirks of the Exorcist model, aside from its human resemblance, is the long prehensile veils decorating their head. Part of the halo, it tends to be damaged in fellings.

And very interesting things can happen to the remnants once Hell seeps in.
