You are, like the rest of the household, enjoying your sweeply holiday party. It's a bit packed this sweep-- so many new faces and plus ones! You always stress a little beforehand about managing everyone, then forget all about worrying by the time the party's actually in full swing. Rava usually takes lead with the whole party host thing anyways, so you usually think it'll be more than it ever is.

Early in the evening, one person arrives though that catches you by surprise--one Perse Rhiali. You were really hoping she would at least stop by, since you do have gifts for her, but after how kinda awkward things have been lately you really weren't sure. She doesn't stay for long, sure, but you're just glad you got to see her at all.

You're spending most of the rest of your time either chilling with Indigo while she's there or requesting silly songs for Anthus to play. He brought his guitar, which thankfully seems to be keeping him perfectly amicable, and you made sure he wasn't too loud for the more sound-sensitive guests just in case.

Just before Indigo leaves, you pull her aside for a moment just inside your bedroom and make sure she's had her fill on goodbye kisses before she heads home. You didn't want to mess up her disguise before, but now that she's leaving, neither of you have many reservations.

You'd call that a night well spent, you think.

It's rare that things universally work out, y'know-- I can't stand Krygen's pale and he thinks my pitch is bad for me, but he doesn't realize that his pitch is on thin fucking ice every time he comes over because Roce thinks he's a bad influence on the kids."

"I think it'd kill him in one go to actually say it, but he doesn't loathe having me around as much as he wants everyone around him to think. Like, it's impressive how abrasive he is 24/7 honestly... Can't be good for his mental health though."

"As for bothering him, you say that like it's hard. He's so full of anger that pissing him off isn't really an accomplishment-- but it really gets him when I call him cute or adorable or treat him all softly. And he hates when people are gentle with him unless he's specifically looking for it."

Favorite thing about them:  Probably how Anthus DOES have a softer and sweeter side, you just really have to dig and search for it and only catch it in brief glimpses. It's like he's one of those puzzle dog toys but the treat is cuddle time with a good movie or something.

Least favorite thing about them: Jesus fucking christ can Anthus be stubborn and prone to misunderstandings. Krygen knows he doesn't mean the angrier stuff he says but it does kinda hurt sometimes anyways.
