By now you can probably tell how much I enjoy the new hashtag #sleeveappreciationsunday by @knithalie and @allyson.knits 😁 For this week I want to share another picture of my Veilchen Sweater. It is a cozy drop shoulder design made from the softest alpaca yarn. #veilchenSweater And in my opinion a cozy sweater like this needs a long sleeve that almost reaches my thumb, so that I can pull the sweater over my hand when I get cold. It is #sleeveappreciationsunday 🧶 If you have been following me for a while now, you might know my Veilchen Sweater which I released in June 2020. #veilchenSweater It is a drop shoulder sweater that is worked from the top down and has the most interesting construction that I have not seen anywhere else yet. The cable that starts at the neckband, runs down the shoulder and all the way down the sleeve is not only stunning - if I may say so myself - but also gives the sweater structure and helps it keep its shape. Ever since I made my Veilchen Sweater it has been one of the designs that I wear the most. It can easily be paired with jeans and be worn over dresses. One of the sweaters that I love to wear most when the days get colder is my VEILCHEN sweater. 🥰 #veilchensweater For todays #knittingdetailstuesday by lovely @carolinstrickt I want to share this close-up of the beautiful cable that starts at the neckband and runs all the way down the sleeve to the cuff. 😍 Sometimes it is just the simple things - like this cable - that give a sweater that little something that makes it special, don't you agree? But this is not all that makes VEILCHEN special: if you love to learn new sweater constructions, then you might want to give VEILCHEN a try. Almost all of my testers said that they have never worked a sweater this way before. 🤓 I won't spoiler too much, but it is worked top down. It is #throwbackknitsday 😊 In the picture above you can see one of my all time favorite sweaters, my #veilchensweater which I made last year. Till today it is still one of the designs that I love to wear the most. It really became one of my wardrobe staples. It is a slightly cropped and generously oversized drop shoulder sweater that is knit top down, making it easy for you to adjust the length. It is mostly Stockinette with a beautiful cable detail that runs from the neckband over the shoulder all the way down the sleeve. VEILCHEN sweater is made from a super soft and super warm alpaca blend yarn that is also very lovely to knit with. I love to wear my VEILCHEN sweater over dresses or with high-waisted jeans.
