What's Whoopsie Thinking About? ((long edition))
I think Vegeta might be inbred.
WAIT. NO DO NOT SCROLL JUST LISTEN!!
I have scientific proof! (I haven't slept in like 3 weeks).
So back in the day, there was a ruling family in Europe called the Habsburgs. They are known for being inbred, and more than four generations of that family participated in inbreeding in an effort to "keep the bloodline pure". As a result, there were a lot of side-effects from that inbreeding that the family was known for. In addition to the health issues, the family was known to be short. You see, inbreeding caused the family members as well as its descendants to be shorter than average.
I say this all to say: Vegeta and perhaps even the rest of the Saiyan race, might be inbred.
We can see that from a biological standpoint, the Saiyan race has a very limited phenotype. Faces are seen in repeated in nonfamily members like Goku and Turles, and other traits are limited as well, such as dark fur-like hair and swarthy skin. (YES, i know that this is an art choice to save time, but PLEASE listen to my theories.)
The limited phenotype that is seen across all Saiyans tells me that certain genes in the gene pool are more limited than say, human genes. The Saiyan are also seems to be weaker than the more diversified human race as well: Gohan and Trunks, both Saiyan and human, seem to pull more from their maternal sides than paternal. Bulla also follows this rule, and Goten is an exception, but one could argue that he grows into the looks of his mother's side, since we see his character design change completely in ((the accursed)) GT.
Now, you're probably asking, "Whoopsie, what does this have to do with Vegeta? The Habsburgs?" and I think that Vegeta is inbred due to the fact that all Saiyans, stricken with a population that is genetically homogeneous, are to some degree, inbred. Vegeta's might be a bit more due to royal precedent. It would make sense: again, the nature of Saiyan genetics in this headcanon, how weak his assumed inbred genes were in response to Bulma's more diversified ones, all point this way.
TLDR: Please start going to sleep at a decent time or else you will use your 7th grade understanding of genetics to concoct the notion that an anime character from the 80's is joffery baratheon.
