Okay so I’m in an rp with someone and just wrote a whole paragraph about how Vash leaves the people he cares about/pushes others away yet still reaches back out for that connection and I’m lowkey proud of it so I’d though I’d share Enjoy some angst!~

“That one stung. It's not that he liked leaving people behind. He did it for a couple of reasons. He mainly didn't want others to get hurt because of him and he didn't want to get hurt because of others. If he stayed with people, inevitably they would get hurt because of him. And vice versa happens. When they get hurt, he feels horrible about it. It's a personal living hell for him to see others he cares about getting hurt because of him. So he tries not to make too many personal connections. But he ends up failing. Every. Time. The fact that he craves connection. Craves love. Craves a meaningful relationship is the problem. He loves to, well, love. But it always ends in heartbreak on his part and the hearts of others. And you really think he would've learned by now. Learned to let go. And he does try. He pushes away other but then reaches back out again. His mind says not to do it, you’ll only be hurting yourself and others, but his heart always seems to tell him to fly higher, to love more. To feel more. And he always flies too close to the sun. And he always falls. And once he falls, he grieves. He adds to his own self-hatred. He picks up the pieces. He tries to put them back together... And he succeeds. Only to start this vicious cycle, over and over and over again. Only to end up with more pieces. To end up with more self-hatred. To end up more broken. And there's this helpless feeling. A feeling that he can do nothing about it. Nothing to stop it. To stop the cycle. No matter how desperately he tries.”
