This morning we woke up early to watch the sunrise over the Ganga, I lit a candle and was praying, crying- it is impossible not to be overwhelmed by emotion here. A few hours later a young boy said to me "I saw you before, at the Assi Ghat, why where you crying?". I told him I was praying, and what I was praying for. He looked at me and said "I am praying for you, too. Namaste." The love strangers here have to give will never stop astounding me. #varanasistories (at Varanasi, India)
