#you couldn't pay me a million dollars to smoke
I keep seeing ads for cotton candy flavored vape pods on tumblr and it made me wonder

Why/Why not in the tags?
I’m interested because I feel like when I was in high school/college in the mid-10s, almost nobody smoked - even if you otherwise had some pretty hard vices. I think it was considered not really worth it for something with such a small buzz. But now, idk. Maybe the advertisers are right to target people here because it’s just that popular again??
(Reblog for a bigger sample size etc etc.)
#i think one of the few good things they did in the 80s and 90s was teaching kids just how fucking god awful smoking/nicotine actually is#and like actually seeing the consequences of what consuming nicotine can and does to you#and not just as someone who might smoke it#but to those *around* it#if someone lights a cigarette around me (which is incredibly rare these days) i will walk away#like i REMEMBER when it was still legal to smoke indoors at bars and restaurants#kids these days have no idea HOW BAD IT COULD BE walking into a place and just being assaulted with THAT#i will say it was weird living in norway and traveling europe and having to deal with how casual smoking was like get the fuck away from me#one of my cousins stayed in ireland for a few months (doing absolutely fuck all but living at a bar) and she picked up smoking#and she came back and couldn't understand why i was so disgusted with her and wouldn't let her light up anywhere NEAR me#and i remember one day she said 'yeah well it's not actually that bad for you.'#and i looked at her and said 'what cancer? heart disease? those aren't BAD for you?!'#and she literally tried to tell me that that was made up#and the way i clocked her like WHO TOLD YOU THAT? THE FUCKING DRUNKS YOU LIVED WITH AT THE BAR? WHO SMOKE AND DRINK ALL DAY???#this fucking girl has *asthma* and is like ~bUt iT's nOt tHaT bAd~#she's finally stopped smoking cigarettes but has moved to vaping and is like 'yeah but this is healthier' no it's not goodbye.#anyway smoking/nicotine in all forms is gross and disgusting and i don't want anywhere near it goodNIGHT

Vaping Tanks For Sale
Tanks are an essential part of any vaping device. They help to absorb e-juice and are often refillable or replaceable. Tanks come in a range of different shapes, sizes, and designs. However, the core function remains the same.
Sub-ohm
Sub-ohm vaping is one of the hottest trends in the vaping industry. These devices use a low resistance coil to deliver more flavour and produce larger vapor clouds.
The best sub ohm tanks are designed to deliver a great vaping experience and they're a staple in many vapers' collections. They're also easy to use, which is why they're often the first choice for beginners and more advanced vapers alike.
These types of vaping tanks use replaceable coils that attach to the base of the tank and absorb e-liquid through the cotton wick and become vapor when heated. They're usually top fill, but some have a side-fill option as well.
They're a little more expensive than rebuildable tanks, but you can make them more cost efficient by buying cheaper e-liquid. You'll need to change the coils frequently though, which can add up fast.
If you're new to sub-ohm vaping, it's a good idea to start with a Smok Vape Coils or restricted-DTL (Direct Lung Inhale) before moving on to a sub-ohm device. Their lower resistance coils require a lot more power than MTL devices, which can be harsh and make beginners cough.
A good quality sub-ohm tank will be made from high-quality materials and feature a wide range of features that will improve your experience. These include large juice capacity, easy leak-proof refills, a resin drip tip, bottom adjustable airflow and improved flavor production.
SMOK is known for making high-quality vaping products and the TFV18 is no exception. Its patented "conical" mesh coils heat up more quickly and deliver increased flavor with each puff. Its 510 threading means it can be used with a variety of devices.
Another sub-ohm tank that's sure to impress is the Fireluke Solo from Freemax, the latest version of their excellent Falcon line. It uses their latest FM COILTECH5.0 coils, which are a military-grade SS904L mesh that fully surrounds the coil and results in more even heating for better flavor and larger vapor clouds.
The nexMesh Pro is another of Wotofo's excellent sub-ohm tanks that's designed for those who may not want to use rebuildables. Its 'conical' mesh coils are shaped like an upside-down funnel and they have both an outer and inner layer of cotton to provide the highest wicking capabilities of any sub-ohm tank on the market. They're also a bit larger than the average coils, which makes them ideal for big clouds of vapour.
Bottom-fill
Bottom-fill vaping tanks for sale are designed to be refilled from the top, which makes them much easier to use than older, more traditional tanks. They also tend to be cleaner and less prone to leakages, so they are an excellent choice for vapers on the go.
They can be found in a wide range of sizes and materials, and many come with child-proofing features, so you can buy one that is safe for your children to use. Some also have adjustable airflow control, so you can tailor your experience to your preferences.
Another advantage of these types of tanks is that they are more compatible with e-liquids of different viscosity and PG/VG ratios, so you can enjoy more variety. They also often feature drip tips, or mouthpieces, which help you inhale the vapor from the tank.
In addition to their ease of use, bottom-fill vaping tanks for sale offer a superior level of flavor and cloud production. They typically have Vape Tanks Online that heat up quickly, so you get a more intense and flavourful hit from your e-liquids.
Compared to other sub-ohm tanks, they're particularly popular for cloud-chasing and for producing huge, voluminous clouds. They also tend to have higher e-liquid capacity, which can allow you to use more e-liquids at once.
These types of tanks can be easily filled with e-liquid, but it's important to make sure that you fill the tank properly and don't overfill it. Overfilling can cause the e-liquid to spill over and make it difficult to inhale, so you should only fill your tank up to the top marking on the tank, which is usually a fine line.
To prevent leakage, you should always remove the atomizer coil from your device, and you can also blow through the airway to clear out any extra e-liquid that may have built up. Once you have done this, it's easy to re-attach the coil and refill your tank.
The Fireluke Solo is a great example of a bottom-fill vaping tank for sale that has a large e-liquid capacity and a simple slide-to-open top fill system. It also has large airflow slots at the bottom, which can be adjusted to create the desired draw. It's available in both a standard and child-proof version, and it's made of Pyrex glass, which is very durable.
Adjustable airflow
Airflow control is an important aspect of your vaping experience because it can impact a variety of things including flavour, vapor production, and the feel of the vapor when you inhale. It also affects how much nicotine you inhale, as it can alter the amount of throat hit you get.
Most tanks for sale come with adjustable airflow systems that let you open or close the airhole in the atomizer. This allows you to customize the size of the airhole, which can be crucial when it comes to creating a different type of vaping experience!
Some vape tanks allow you to adjust the airflow from the bottom, while others require you to invert them and remove the base. For the most part, these models are easy to use and will work with most vapes that have a 510 connection.
In general, the more airflow a tank has, the cooler and more flavorful it will be. This is because airflow can control the temperature of vapor that is created by passing through the coils.
There are many different airflow settings that you can choose from, and it is a good idea to check the specifications of each one to find out what each setting can do. Generally, increased airflow will give you more flavor and less of a harsh throat hit; decreased airflow will produce a hotter, looser draw, and will make the vapor cooler.
When choosing a tank that has adjustable airflow, you should look for a design that is well-built and sturdy. This will help ensure that your atomizer lasts as long as possible.
Another great feature to consider is how the airflow is routed inside the atomizer. This will help determine how the vapor is shaped and how it tastes.
The Hellbeast 2 is a top airflow tank that has a great design that improves the flavor of the vapor produced by this atomizer. During our review of this atomizer, we found that it provided excellent throat hits and was able to produce large amounts of vapor with minimal effort.
Rebuildable
There are a number of different types of vaping tanks on the market today. Choosing the right one for your needs is important, especially if you're new to the world of vaping. You want to be sure that the tank you buy will work well with your mod and allow you to enjoy the best possible vaping experience.
Rebuildable atomizers (RBAs) are one type of vaping tank that has been around for a while but is now becoming more popular. RBAs are very similar to regular sub ohm tanks, but they offer a lot more control over the way you vape.
They usually come with a coil that's pre-made, but they also let you build your own coil to suit your preferences and needs. Some even have a base that screws onto the tank to adjust airflow.
Other RBAs have a build deck and a separate chamber below it that holds e-liquid. The liquid flows through the wicks and is then soaked up by the vapor, producing flavor.
Some of these atomizers, particularly those made by Wotofo, have received a lot of praise from both pros and end users. These include the Wotofo Gear RTA, which is easy to build on and offers a fantastic cloud and flavor experience.
However, these kinds of tanks are not for beginners, as they require some experience with building a coil. They also require a good understanding of ohms law and battery safety.
Rebuildable dripping atomizers (RDDAs) are another kind of rebuildable tank that requires the user to manually drip e-liquid onto the wick and coil. They have a juice well beneath the build deck that's meant to hold enough e-liquid to soak the wicks and keep them saturated for a long time.
These atomizers aren't as common as RBAs or RDTAs, but some people still prefer to use them. They don't have as many issues with leaking and often perform better in terms of vapor and flavor.
You'll find that most of these atomizers have a bottom-fill design, but some have a top-fill option. The top-fill designs tend to be more convenient and make it easier to fill the atomizer without having to unscrew the top.

Realised I never made a new pinned post about who I am before now, so here it is :)
First off: This is a VERY NSFW Blog, if you're under 18 leave. Now.
Who Am I?
My name is Bambi. I'm 26 and from Ireland. My pronouns are She/ Her, and I'm Bi. Kind of shy so sorry if I seem that way.
This is like my fourth time having a blog on here, I sort of go through these phases of being like wtf am I doing and then deleting everything, so we'll see how long that lasts this time.
No the woman in the profile image isn't me, and no I won't share actual pictures of myself, sorry :(
What am I into?
I'm a huge submissive in every way, don't ask me to be in charge because it's not me, I need to be controlled, I need to be corrupted, I need to be told what to do. Once you understand that, I start to make sense :)
- Hypnosis/ Brainwashing/ Being out of control/ Mind Control/ Resistance Play.
Ughhhhh, all of this, so much, so bad, take away my will and make me mindless and yours and everything that means, pleaseeeee.
Tumblr media
- Smoking/ Vaping/ Nicotine/ Breath play/ Cigarettes/ Cigars/ Intox/ Forced Intox.
A lot of this kind of plays into eachother, but smoking is one of the first kinks I've ever had, I vape a little but not much, but I find everything about smoking in all shapes and forms so sensual and sexy. I also really enjoy being forced to take it in all of its various ways :)
Tumblr media
After that, it's a lot of little things:
- CNC (Consent Non Consent), Denial, Teasing, Roleplay, Being loved for once in my life 👀, Degradation, light pain, Sissification, Feminization, Bimbofication, being forced to do things in general is really hot, Dumbification, Cumplay, Spit play, Daddies, Mommies, Masters, Owners, Petplay.
What Do I Not Like?
Generally I'm pretty open to trying things at least once, if a Kink isn't listed above you can usually ask and see how I feel. But there are some hard no's for me:
- Anything illegal
- Scat, poop, pee play.
- Serious pain or blood.
- Furry stuff, I like being referred to as a pet or things like that but actual animal stuff I'm not really into.
- Ageplay if it includes like ADBL or diaper play or any of that.
I like to think I'm kind of cool and welcoming and fun to talk to? But idk lol, I wanna make friends, I wanna have fun, I wanna be more involved in the community here.
I hope you liked my post, thank you for reading ❀❀

TINY WEE PSA
Hi! Are you trying to write some British people? Here are some random thoughts about exaggerated Britishness (With heavy chat about Scotland because I know Scotland the best):
"I'm going to the store!" Store is not a popular word for a place to buy things. People from the UK will generally say "shop". If they're just going to get milk or something, they may go to the "corner shop" - which people from NY especially will know as a "bodega"
"Hand me an eraser." While some people do say eraser, "rubber" is more common. This is amusing to me because to people from the US especially, it's very different in meaning.
If your character is visiting someone, it's very common to be offered tea. "Fancy a cup of tea?" or more casually "Fancy a cuppa?"
Pub ≠ bar. Pubs include bars, but are also places to get a meal. People do go there to drink ("Get a pint") though, and some pubs don't serve children or allow them in. Many do, however.
There are 100s of accents across the nation, more than just typical posh English, Welsh and Scottish. Please pay attention to your character's background and dialect. The city of London alone has 4 major accents. (For Good Omens fans, Crowley and Aziraphale are both sensationally posh. Aziraphale speaks "The Queen's/King's English" which is notably more formal and collected - Crowley does not.)
Some good swears include "Bellend", "Pillock", "Knob" and "Twat". In Scotland we also have the tamer "Daft(ie)" and "Tube"! Any object can become an insult: "You FUCKING MICROWAVE"
Some good pet names include "Love", "Pet" and "Poppet"
Along with tea we have a carbonated drink called Irn Bru. This is ESPECIALLY popular to Scots but you can find it in England. It is bright orange and fruity in taste.
We buy milk in pints
The chocolate bar Freddo is typically how we measure inflation these days. (I wish I could say this was a joke but tabloids love the chocolate test)
It does rain a lot. Like a shit ton. There are sunny days but nonetheless. The way to start conversation is ALWAYS weather. "Lovely weather innit?" always works, especially in terrible weather.
Sarcasm and dry humour are very popular.
IT IS A PETROL STATION, NOT A GAS STATION
A lot of people smoke or vape. This is very evident especially in cities like London and Edinburgh.
People from southern England especially are typically very removed and tend not to pay attention to anyone else. It's a massive "Not my problem". They can be very friendly by all means, but typically keep to themselves and don't talk to many people.
Biscuits rule the world, especially custard creams. (Jk, they're very loved though)
The school systems are different from that in the rest of the world. Even to one another. The Scottish, Welsh and English education systems are different - but are all composed of Primary school and Secondary school.
Typically people are either passionately wild for the Royal Family or REALLY dislike them.
Terraced and semi detached housing is very common. In Scotland we have "closies" which are blocks of flats that home lots of people, and are typically very square and deshevelled.
McDonald's did not arrive here until the 70s. People were confused by it to begin with.
Fish and chips is a stereotypical yet popular dish. Many people refer to going to a fish and chips shop as "Going to the chippy". Often they do not have seating, and are takeout exclusive.
Britain is a geographical reality, composed of Scotland, Wales and England. The United Kingdom is political and composed of Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and England.
Irish people may not enjoy being referred to as "British". Furthermore do not call a Welsh, Scottish or Irish person "English". This is a bad idea and will make people mad.
Day in the life of a true Brexit geezer is a documentary. (Jk)
Basically everyone "hates" the English. Whether this is playful or genuine varies from person to person. Even the English hate the English.
Older women especially have very strong feelings about Princess Di (She was so beloved)
For Good Omens fans: Soho is a small tiny little area in the BOROGH of "The City of Westminster". This is a borogh at the heart of London. You can walk Soho in a day.
Most cities don't have boroughs, but do have wee areas which are basically suburbs or collections of areas.
In schools, it's very common to refer to your teachers as "Sir" and "Miss". This also applies outside of school for young people, but generally is seen more in schools.
"Mate" is the most common way to address a male presenting person passive aggressively, along with "Love" for female presenting people. "Mate" is more common and works both ways.
"Pissed" means drunk. "Oh, he's pissed" = "Oh, he's drunk". Increasingly you'll find people say "pissed" to mean angry, especially young people. However "peeved" is what was originally used to mean angry.

Like the culture's not the exact same in Ireland but my school was small enough that you could count the friend groups in my year on one hand so by senior cycle I hung out with a decent few 'chav' girls and they were fucking lovely! Show me a picture of a girl baked in fake tan with a vape in her mouth and my instincts still go 'that's aoife who's nice to you in biology class and whose mam is on the dole' I'm not gonna fuckin laugh at her for being 'trashy'

Disposable Vapes: An Affordable Option for Irish Smokers
Tumblr media
In recent times the world of vaping has seen a major shift. Disposable vapes are now a viable and cost-effective option for those who smoke in Ireland. This blog examines the financial aspect of disposable cigarettes and how they’re transforming the scene for Irish smokers seeking to shift from traditional cigarettes.
Cost-effective solution: Disposable vapes provide smokers with a cost-effective option in Ireland. In contrast to traditional devices for vaping that necessitate separate purchasing of the e-liquid as well as coils for disposable devices, these vapes are sold as a whole package. Their affordability makes them a great choice for budget-conscious people.
No upfront investment: Traditional setups for vaping typically require an initial investment of an electronic device, charger, and other accessories. The disposable vapes can eliminate this upfront expense and allow Irish smokers to test the waters of vaping without making the expense. It’s an easy and affordable way to get into the world of smoking.
Convenience Without Compromise: The affordability of HTML0 doesn’t mean that you compromise on ease of use. Disposable vapes come already filled, and charged, with a ready-to-use cartridge right out of the package. This convenience not only helps save time but also ensures that users enjoy a smooth experience without having to make any additional purchases.
Economical for social smokers: Irish social smokers who do not participate regularly in vaping, consider disposable vapes a good option. Because they don’t require constant replenishment or maintenance, they can be used for occasional usage without the expense of a complete vaping set-up.
Affordable Flavors: Disposable vapes come in a wide range of flavors that allow users to experiment with various choices without spending a fortune. This is an affordable option that encourages people who smoke in Ireland to explore flavor combinations they would not have considered when they were traditional smoking.
Beware of Hidden Costs: Traditional smoking typically comes with hidden expenses like lighters or ashtrays, as well as cleaning equipment. The disposable vape eliminates these additional costs, allowing for a clear and affordable smoking experience.
Financial Rewards and Promotions: A lot of Irish vape shops offer promotional offers as well as discounts for disposable vapes increasing their cost. This allows smokers to switch to vapor for less money and enjoy the benefits without making a huge cost commitment.
Disposable vapes as a Quitting Tool: for Irish smokers seeking to quit the habit, disposable vapes provide an easy and cost-effective change. They can be used as a stepping into a smoke-free life without the financial burden that comes with other methods of quitting smoking.
Conclusion: Disposable vapes are showing as more of an occasional trend, they are now an option that is affordable and feasible for Irish smokers looking for a healthier alternative to traditional cigarettes. The combination of affordability as well as convenience and accessibility allows disposable vapes to be an attractive option for those who want to move towards an un-smoking future without spending a fortune. As the vaping industry changes, affordability is the most important aspect in ensuring that this new lifestyle is available to a larger number that includes Irish smokers

Last 10 Fics/Writing Patterns meme + Last First Line Tag Game
First the writing patterns meme, which is such a cool idea! I was tagged by @teejaystumbles! Thank yoooou.
Rules: Post the first lines of your last ten fics posted to AO3 (Sort by date posted), AND see if there's a pattern!
By last updated date:
3 March 2024: Quaternion
KLOT DOD-DOT The knock of the twisted iron ring against its plate on the outside of his library door startles King Morpheus from his reverie. He is supposed to be notating one of the histories of the Moirai, the so-called Three Sisters of Fate, who have ruled the island nation of Ananke with brutal efficiency since seemingly time immemorial. Their ships have been seen too often in view of his coastline of late and he needs to be prepared for whatever their intentions are.
15 February 2024: you might be the answer to the sinner in me
“Hob, are you alright?” Hob’s shoulders tighten and his spine goes ramrod straight. It is the family holiday dinner and he is out on the back patio in the cold, staring at the over-manicured hedgerows that make up one of the distant property lines. He left to have space to pull out his vape pen and take a hit because that is probably the only way that he is going to get through the night.
16 January 2024: Placebo Effect
“You should just DM him,” Desire is studying their nails, the dark red of dried blood, while reclining on a chaise in the living room of their oldest sister’s condo. “My kingdom for anything that might throw Dearest Mumsie and Popsicle off your trail for an evening. I don’t think I can endure another holiday of it.” They sprawl, letting their head loll backwards over the armrest, to look at Dream almost upside down. “What say you big brother?”
6 January 2024: show me who I am
Hob taps his fingers on the table next to the map of Northern Ireland and takes a sip from his glass of shiraz. “I think this is it. This is the plan. We’ve got it. Anyone see something we missed?” He looks around the table at each person in turn, waiting for a response.
1 January 2024: Another Song
Shunk ka-thunkszzzz. The lights in the entire loft go out. “What the FUCK?” Matthew’s voice smacks into Dream despite the thick panels of wood between them.
30 December 2023: Thoughts on the Roman Empire (and Other Pickup Lines)
“You know, I think this whole meme going around about men thinking about the Roman Empire is great!” Hob smiles at the ceiling as he leans back in his chair, balancing it on its back legs, propping his feet up on the table in the private library study room. He doesn't need to look at Morpheus to know that the grad student is giving him a withering glare, or perhaps not looking at him at all. “First off, people are discussing history! Second, some of the jokes are actually solid gold. Like I saw one that just murdered me in broad daylight. Wanna hear it?”
21 December 2023: Levade
“Oh fuck Dream,” Hob writhes in his bonds. “You said you wanted more did you not?” The centaur smirks. “I am simply acquiescing to your request.”
15 December 2023: You create me against your lips
The first time Hob sees Dream is when the latter has the audacity to enter the Morningstar's realm. He watches as the Dream King intimidates Squatterbloat into bringing him to the Palace. The demon is stupid and gullible, easily swayed, and Hob has a mind to bury his morningstar in the moron's fleshy head, but he would rather observe the visitor and his raven from the shadows.
9 December 2023: where I'm supposed to be
For all that he shares a given name with the God of Sleep, has a nickname of Dream, he has only experienced lucid dreaming rarely. Once, maybe twice, before. But. He knows he is dreaming right now.
26 November 2023: Venus conjunct Saturn
“Show me, Hob.” Dream purrs in a way he knows will make his lover shiver. “Show me how she pleasured you.” He is laid beneath Hob, who is on all fours above him, and the only cloth they have is the sheets upon their bed here in the Dreaming.
Other than 30% of those fics having titles from Maneskin lyrics... apparently I like to start with sounds or dialog. Some in medias res beginnings in there, too. Huh. Fascinating.
And, just for fun, here are the FIRST few lines paragraphs of the finished fic I have on deck, a sequel to A Change in Tactics (published in October 2022!)... (originally I was tagged in a last lines tag game by @amielot!)
“We have to stop meeting like this!” Hob laughed as he broke the barstool in his hands over the head and shoulders of another patron of the White Horse Inn. Said patron had just previously been trying to stab Hob with a shard of wine bottle so he most decidedly deserved it. Hob pulled a chunk of wood from where it had lodged in his palm and frowned at the blood that welled up there. A crash to his left stole his attention. “Ope. Watch out Lou!” Lou ducked the tankard aimed at her head with all the sliding fluid grace of one well-acquainted with being deep in her cups. She didn’t spill a single drop of her own ale as she backed around the bar and out of the Inn through the alleyway door. Lou may have been part of starting this fight, but she clearly had no intention of finishing it. Which was just fine by Hob. Lou didn’t deserve to be in hospital any more than absolutely necessary. She had enough going on, as Hob had just learned. Speaking of his mysterious friend
Hob flung his sweaty hair out of his eyes in time to watch Dream elegantly sidestep the brawler charging him like they were a pair in some courtly dance. The beautiful bastard hadn’t even moved his hands from where they were clasped at the small of his back, while his opponent had gone headlong into a wooden pillar. “This only happens when I join you here, Hob.” One loping step over the fallen man and Dream was back at Hob’s side. (Graceful twat.) “This type of violence is notably absent when you visit my Realm.” (Double the twat on that one.)
I tag... everyone who has a springtime birthday.

A toxic culture of sexual assault, harassment, racism and bullying has been alleged by more than 100 current and recent UK staff at outlets of the fast-food chain McDonald's.
The BBC was told that workers, some as young as 17, are being groped and harassed almost routinely.
The UK equality watchdog said it was "concerned" by the BBC's findings and is launching a new email hotline.
McDonald's said it had "fallen short" and it "deeply apologised".
It added that all employees deserved to work in a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace.
The BBC began investigating working conditions at McDonald's in February, after the company signed a legally binding agreement with the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) in which it pledged to protect its staff from sexual harassment.
At the time, McDonald's insisted: "We already have a strong track record in this area."
But our investigation has revealed a very different picture.
Over a five-month period, we reached out to McDonald's workers to ask about their experiences of working there. Of the more than 100 allegations from employees we spoke to, 31 related to sexual assault, and 78 related to sexual harassment.
We also heard 18 allegations of racism, while six people made allegations of homophobia.
Warning - this article contains distressing content
Claims the BBC has heard include:
A 17-year-old current employee in Cheshire who says a colleague 20 years older than her called her a racial slur word and asked to show her his penis, and said he wanted to make a "black and white" baby with her
A former worker who was 17 when a senior manager at a Plymouth restaurant choked her and grabbed her bottom. A shift manager also sent her sexually explicit images
A manager in Hampshire who suggested a 16-year-old male worker perform sexual acts in exchange for vapes
A manager who preyed on 16-year-old new female starters in a Cheshire restaurant, trying to pressurise them into having sex
A woman who said she was called a slur word and subject to racist jokes at an Aberdeen branch
A current worker in Essex who says she faced antisemitic abuse
A current worker in Oxfordshire, originally from India, who says crew members spoke in "gibberish" to imitate her and called a Pakistani colleague a terrorist
Male managers and crew members at a branch in Wales making jokes about putting cash bets on which of them could sleep with a new recruit first
An outbreak of gonorrhoea at a branch in Northern Ireland where sexual relationships between staff members were commonplace
Multiple workers told us that McDonald's managers at the outlets across the UK were responsible for the harassment and assaults.
All too often, senior managers are said to have failed to act on complaints.
Staff have also told the BBC of sexual relationships between managers and more junior members of staff, which is against company policy.
Young women have described feeling constantly judged about how they looked.
One current worker said she was seen by her male colleagues as "fresh meat" when she started at her branch in Nottingham. Other female workers told us they were forced by managers to wear uniforms that were too tight for them.
"There is a saying at McDonald's, "tits on tills" - boys in the kitchen, girls on the counter. The idea is to put attractive people at the front," said Lucy, who's 22 and worked in Norwich.
"It's the expectation that if you work at McDonald's, you will be harassed," added Emily, who's 20. She left her branch in Brighton last year, after a male colleague in his 60s kept stroking her hair in a sexually suggestive way and making her feel uncomfortable.
McDonald's is one of the UK's largest private sector employers. The fast food giant has more than 170,000 people working in 1,450 restaurants.
Its staff are also one of the country's youngest workforces. Three quarters of its employees are aged between 16 and 25. For many, it is their first job.
Most workers are not directly employed by the company as McDonald's uses a franchise system, which means individual operators are licensed to run the outlets and employ the staff.
'I went to work in fear'
Shelby was just 16 when she started working at a McDonald's restaurant in Berkshire last year.
She said older male colleagues would use the cramped layout in the kitchen as an excuse to touch junior female staff inappropriately.
"They'd grope stomach, waists, bums," she said. "Every shift I worked, there would be at least a comment being made, or I'd be brushed, a hand brushed across me, or it would be a more severe thing, like having my bum grabbed, hips grabbed."
There was one man in his 50s, in particular, that managers "warned" young staff members to stay away from, Shelby said.
One day last summer, she said she was standing at the front counter when he came up behind her and grabbed her onto him, pulling her onto his groin.
"I just froze," she said. "I felt disgusted."
Shelby says she told senior management about what was going on in the store, but nothing was done. In her resignation email, she said it was a "toxic work environment".
McDonald's said it was "deeply sorry" to hear about what Shelby went through. It added that it was investigating why any issues that she raised were not formally escalated at the time.
Managers turning a blind eye
We do not know how many of the workers we spoke to made formal complaints. But a number of them told us they did - only for them to be ignored.
In the case of 17-year-old Chinyere in Cheshire, who was sexually and racially harassed by a much older man, she initially raised it with a female colleague who was responsible for staff wellbeing. She told her to ignore the man's behaviour and go back to work. After months of harassment, Chinyere confided in her stepfather who wrote to the franchise, to corporate headquarters and the police.
The man was then fired. Chinyere believes if her stepfather hadn't intervened, nothing would have happened. McDonald's described her experiences as "abhorrent and unacceptable" and apologised unreservedly. It said it took swift action as soon as the issue came to its attention and that the man was dismissed within three days. They added: "It takes a great deal of courage to speak up and as soon as we were made aware of the situation the individual in question was offered both internal and independent external support."
Another worker in Birmingham, who says she was smacked on the bottom by a male colleague when she was 19, reported it immediately to her manager. But despite it being caught on camera and her having a visible bruise, she was forced to continue working with him, which made her so uncomfortable that she eventually quit.
Several workers also said that when complaints were made about managers, they were then moved from one McDonald's restaurant within the franchise to another, rather than being fired.
Other employees said they didn't complain as they couldn't risk losing work. Young staff at McDonald's are often on zero hours contracts - it means their hours are flexible, but also that they are at the mercy of shift managers who decide their rotas.
What to do if you have been sexually harassed at work
Report it: Charity Victim Support says you can report it to your manager, HR representative or trade union who will take action.
Keep a record: Including dates, times and details of what happened, as well as any relevant emails. These could be helpful if you decide to report it.
Get help: Victim Support operates a free and confidential 24/7 helpline and live chat service. Call 0808 16 89 111 or use the live chat at: victimsupport.org.uk/live-chat.
Call the police: If sexual harassment escalates into violence, threats or sexual assault, you should report this to the police by calling 101. If you are in danger, call 999.
Training 'not taken seriously'
In the February agreement, McDonald's pledged "zero tolerance" on sexual harassment and to deliver training for employees.
But staff have told the BBC the training is not being taken seriously by managers.
One employee described perching an iPad next to a McFlurry machine and speeding through the harassment training video while he made drinks.
Baroness Kishwer Falkner, chairwoman of the EHRC, said every firm should have zero tolerance of sexual harassment and protect its workforce.
McDonald's culture has faced scrutiny globally. In the US it is facing multimillion dollar lawsuits brought by employees over sexual harassment allegations.
Its chief executive, Steve Easterbrook, was fired in 2019 after it was revealed he had inappropriate consensual relationships with McDonald's employees.
Allegations of sexual harassment at McDonald's first surfaced in the UK five years ago when the Bakers, Food and Allied Workers Union (BFAWU) says it received 1,000 complaints. There was very little reporting of the allegations at the time - this could be because some cases were settled using confidentiality clauses.
Sarah Woolley, BFAWU's general secretary, said the new allegations uncovered by the BBC were "shocking".
Alistair Macrow, chief executive of McDonald's UK & Ireland, said there was "simply no place for harassment, abuse, or discrimination" at the company.
"Every one of the 177,000 employees in McDonald's UK deserves to work in a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace. There are clearly instances where we have fallen short and for that we deeply apologise," he told the BBC.
"We will investigate all allegations brought to us, and all proven breaches of our code of conduct will be met with the most severe measures we can legally impose, up to and including dismissal."
Mr Macrow said that more than 2,000 managers had completed full awareness training and that most restaurant teams were now working within the new protections which aim to create "a safe and respectful workplace". He added that the company has stringent rules to ensure its workplaces around the world are safe and respectful.
