Really quick update just so EVERYONE knows....

I’m a kuroiro simp.... hes fucking hot.

I gave all 3 of Spamton's angels newish looks.

Vanta was meant to look just like Spamton, but i completely changed him. See, Spamton has a condition that i call Melabino. Melabino is basically Melanism+Albinism. 2 very opposite conditions, but here is how it works. They don't persist on top of eachother. Melanism usually will take over part of the pigment production while Albinism does the rest. Melanism took over hair pigment production for Spamton which is why his hair is black (same for his feathers in neo form). His skin is white from his albinism. He also has heterochromia which severed the albinism's ability to affect both eyes. That is why one eye is yellow, and the other is pink.

I headcanon that Spamton has a lot of genetic issues, and that is just one of his issues. He has dwarfism that makes him shorter than average, and he is mostly blind. His glasses are prescription lenses. The tint is supposed to make his eye colors harder to see so he looks like he has normal-ish eyes. Addison's eye colors are meant to match their base color, but Spamton wasn't like that. He was supposed to have light Yellow eyes because light yellow comes with the white color. Albinos would, of course, have pink eyes, however.

Technically speaking, with these headcanons, Spamton should not have been able to survive with all these defects, but he has somehow made it, and still has a lot of life in him.

Why this is important for his little companions here is, that even if they are exact genetic copies of him, these genetic mutations can come in any amount, and affect other areas of them.

Dawn: visibly albino. He carries the melanistic trait, but albinism took dominance over his melanism, muting it and making him appear purely albino.

Vantadark: visibly melanistic. He had the most drastic redesign. Originally he was meant to be an exact copy of Spamton in every way, but he did not live up to his name, and so, he is the exact opposite of Dawn. Dark skinned, dark hair, dark wings, just everything about him is darker except his personality. He retained heterochromia, and one eye is affected by albinism, but it is darker in color.

Dusk: Mixed. He is the closest looking to Spamton now. Melanism took over most of his hair color production, but in a couple places, white pigment snuck in, giving him his black, and white hair. He did not get heterochromia. His eyes are yellow, like they are supposed to be since his base color is white. He carries albinism, but he is not albino. His wing feathers are also tipped with black.

In the last episode of Boku no Hero Macadamia I watched there was a new character whose superpower is being able to phase through shadows/use them as portals, like he could sink into the shadow behind a door and pop out of the shadow under an awning. He calls this ability “Black” (in English, “burakku,” not “kuro”) but the English subtitles call it “Dark,” for whatever cultural or political reasons. There’s a special version of this move where he can nab someone else into a shadow which he calls Vantablack and the subtitles call Vantadark! And I wondered whether it’s because they want to avoid negative connotations around the word black (although this character is an aspiring hero he’s also pretty creepy and sneaky) or whether they want to avoid legal action from Anish Kapoor.
