I am really appreciating this semi-liveblog. I read the screaming staircase but couldn't bring myself to continue the series because of how mean the narration could be toward George. I'm really disappointed the Netflix show won't get a second season; I honestly prefer it to the books. that being said I NEEED to know what the FUCK is up with the Problem . please continue this liveblog. for me.

​i'll do my best 🫡 i am very eager to find out what the deal is with the Problem! that said, THERE WAS A NETFLIX SHOW??? i'm less surprised that it got canned than that there was an adaptation at all, wow! also, yeah, lucy has it out for that boy, her narration is very hard on him, and while i do genuinely think they simply rub each other the wrong way, i am also inclined to think that part of lucy's attitude is her being prejudiced against him bc he's fat. all in all i can very easily see how that could be uncomfortable to read!

i didn't publish very many stories this year so of them probably i fell hard in your arms tonight (it was nice) (a stranger things/steddie fic) even tho its still very much in progress. if i was to choose an overall story maybe, your hand in mine (my most recent and longest erasermight fic) but that is a couple years old already which i didn't realize

30: Biggest surprise while writing this year?

this is a hard one um....i guess maybe either the fandoms i ended up wanting to/being inspired to write for or how much gen stuff i got ideas for rather than ship-centric stuff which tends to be more my style (even if i haven't yet finished or published any of the gen ideas they still happened lol)

fair shout tbh. i imagine that doing a child labour about the Problem is already a pr nightmare, so, knowingly serving them alcohol would only exacerbate that? but you gotta give them something!

​Ranch is like, the grand monarch of blending mechanics and narrative together into a character, like, he'll describe his newest little guy and it just sounds like a regular fun character but then slowly over the course of sessions you come to realize how many neat little synergies and optimizations he's put into them that you'd never realize at a glance bc it all slots together so well

1. i was obsessed with wolves as a kid i drew them on all of my hw And drew them in the dirt during most every recess for a whole school year And got in trouble for drawing them on my bedroom wall.

2. i got roped into helping my youth group plan activities as a teenager, which included stuff like, i spent hours painting a huge ice castle for a themed dance and then was too tired to want to actually. go to the dance.

3. shortly after moving out of my parents house, i was helping a new friend pack up to move apartments and said "oh what's this pretty thing?" and it was a weed pipe and everyone made fun of me
