Born to two guardian fae, Svala was born a fighter. Her mother, a once highly respected Valkyrie, fell for her father and it was all downhill from there. Her family was very happy though and had been for several years, even after sliding away into isolation, per her father’s request. Her mother considered it a retirement but her father saw it as an opportunity to train the six siblings further.

Growing up Svala showed more interest in learning from her father than her other sisters. She was his companion and constantly beside him, learning how to fight as well as other things that her mother had long stored away for an easier life. Her mother’s knowledge and wisdom were ever-present and constant in their family though, whenever her father misdirected she was always there to correct. Which normally turned into some sort of argument. She was always teaching little lessons in odd ways through her stories and tales that she shared with her children and Svala soaked each one of them up.

Svala decided her fate as a Valkyrie and has refused to serve as anything else for Lady Iris for years. Though she yearned for a family she never saw herself there with her devotion to her life of protecting the Divine Forest. That was until Adrik Hansen showed up. At first it was as if they couldn’t stand each other. But eventually something shifted and changed, it was not truly explainable but then again there were a lot of things that Svala didn’t expect to come her way. Especially not a mate, but it did and Adrik was him. Even though she hated to admit it at first they grew on each.

Three children later, Svala and Adrik have learned more about each other and gone through several rough moments. Their oldest is now off on his own. While they tend to their twins, Etta and Adrienne. After a near loss, Svala and Adrik finally married and they both saw it as an opportunity to rekindle and heal what could have been lost.

Now as the leader of the Valkyries and a mother, Svala tries her best to balance the life she has worked so hard for and the ones she has wanted more than anything with her husband and children. After several ups and downs and near death experiences she can’t wait to see what the future holds for not just her family but for The Divine Forest.
