Jai Mata adi #matavaishnodevi Shrine where lakhs of devotees reach everyday for sacred blessings from goddess Vaishnodevi. Trekking have been my regular routine but trekking to shrine is different. You will find even them who may not be regular trekkers but are spiritually charged and inspirational, you will find them sing bhajans and narrate stories while on trek which makes that journey so easy and enjoyable. I met one such group of female devotees and they all were above 50 and two of them 81 & 71. When I interacted with them I felt so energetic and also equally thoughtful about their instinct because they were no where tired or stressed, they were walking and singing and even sharing bliss of amazing tales of why this shrine is blessing for all. If you watch them in our vlogs @xtremeroads and listen to their inspiring talks your perception of old and young will change. I am not that spiritual but I guess my journeys turns me spiritual on its own. I feel our destination is nothing but the path through which we reach to the belief. And those path is the way we learn lessons of life. Those moments we spent and experience throughout the trek are the lifetime memories to remember. Those heavy loads carried by people will take your breath out, you will find yourself in better position in life…that availability of food and beverages at those heights may ease your trek but at the same time when we think of how those things are carried by individual for us will amaze you. So whenever you may pay little more for the food and beverages kindly think positive. Many such small stories to add …but I have limitation of words here. During all my treks I have realised that it is not the time you reach, it is the time it took to reach and the experience you had in the course of reaching, all that feeling is in between the journey. I always took my journey with joy and fun, cherished those little things be it monkeys trying to dig into those dustbins and drink the leftover in juice boxes or trying to steal it from your hands, every passer by had their own expression while trekking down and one whom I might have crossed, little kids who enjoy with a scoop of icecream and a frooti box, that ice tea cafes and snacks corners where everyone around you, are talking about the present time leaving all the household and materialistic things behind.
