---It’s a coveted, precious thing: the gentle basking in each other's company that comes with a career where death is ALWAYS a possibility. At least, that’s how Mason has come to view the rare moments he can greedily capitalize on Isaac’s attention. There has to be no less than three or four blankets wrapped about them in some sort of half made COCOON, forgotten snack bowls scattered here & there,  Mason’s head tucked neatly into the crook of the other man’s neck, legs loosely tangled with the occasional BRUSH of bare toes over foot.Yes, Mason is happy. The low rumble of the television echoes in the background with a drone-- which is all it really serves as in this moment. An occasional comment about the ongoing program demands a soft snort or chuckle from the recipient along with a gentle shoulder shove that acts as a catalyst for the shifting of bodies until all possible space between their sides is erased. In this moment there is nothing but them and blankets and safety and COMFORT.

Felix is a pain in the ass, even on the best of days. And camped out in the rebels’ underground hidey hole doesn’t make for a whole lot of those. But Tucker’s getting antsy. He needs to do something, and the other guys aren’t in the mood to do much besides lay around and complain. Which... okay, he usually is too, but right now, he can’t sit fucking still. 

So he tracks down Felix and does his best to look like he hasn’t been searching all over the stupid base for him. He lifts a hand in an awkward halfway. “Hey, Felix. You busy? I’m bored as fuck, you wanna... I dunno, spar or some shit?”

웃 An existing character you’ve played in the past that you miss?

Michael.Ok, so I had a HUGE SPN (read: Supernatural) phase, and archangel Michael was one of my favorite characters of all time. I had a blast using him (because he's so powerful haha) and interacting with characters from all over the place. There’s something about DIVINITY that I'm attracted to, and the viceroy of Heaven’s army? hoo boy. His blog theme is still my favorite of all time. I may pick it up again. ツ : An OC you created that you are proud of? Only one? hah a I have hundreds of kids.Hm, I have one over on my blog ahborrent whom I love-- my giant demon dog baby. But to keep it in the theme of the blog, I love love love my freelancer oc Rhodey (aka. Luke Brooks) whom I will not post art here of because it’s really, really old and I am really, really shy. I actually have a blog in progress for him too, I just need to theme it. He’s really short and exaggerates way too much and is overall a treasure please love him.

PROJECT FREELANCER IS THE BEST. at least, that’s what the internet says. they’ve been at the top of pro league for the past two years, but every dynasty has to end at some point. or that’s what their competitors say, anyway. –––– but they’re not the only ones out there who enjoy the game: enter the casual players of THE BLOOD GULCH CREW, a group of online friends who don’t see halo as a major competition. in fact, they hardly take it seriously at all.

this verse is based heavily on THIS au idea, with the addition of freelancers. it’s open to all kinds of hilarity and outrageous ideas –– house parties, dating, how high is too high to play halo, donut’s cam shows.

YOU MUST BE EIGHTEEN TO JOIN. this is a household of sloppy assholes. there will be drugs, alcohol, sexual situations. on top of that, i expect you to be able to conduct yourself as an adult.

NO OUT OF CHARACTER DRAMA. don’t kill my vibe. i won’t tolerate it, it’s not fun for anyone. if you have a problem with someone talk to them. if you’re a problem, you will be kicked from the verse. ( don’t be a dick. )

ACTIVITY IS OKAY. look, real life happens. i’m not saying be active everyday, but make sure you’re trying to keep up to date with what is going on. the main blog will be updated with important information but you’re in charge of keeping yourself in the know.

EVERYONE NEEDS A LIL DISCORD IN THEIR LIFE. we have a group server and you can request an invite by sending me a message. the chat is meant to be for plotting and making connections but the ooc room is called the dumpster, so it’s filled with a lot of bullshit. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ we also have ic rooms for the teams for short, rapid fire stuff. 

PLOTTING AND YOU. not everything needs to be run by me, but if it is something that is going to affect the whole house, it must be discussed first. also try not to stack the deck too much, let plots breathe before it turns into a mess.

PROLOGUE

you’ve been finding ways to cope your whole life. you wear your attitude like armor, but it was all that could protect you from a father who didn’t care and a mother who’s shadow you were stuck in. ( he could never love you as much as he loved her. YOU WOULD NEVER BE YOUR MOTHER. ) it was worse after your mother left –– it was easier to say she left than accept that she was dead. but no matter how you spun it, it made your father a monster. your baby brother taught you how to play games when you were both younger, and with your whole life going to shit, it seemed like the only thing either of you had left. ––– but where your brother used it to make friends, you used it to demolish the memory of you mother. to be better than she ever was. you got mean, you got distant and turned to the world of COMPETITIVE GAMING.

CHAPTER I

you both SUFFERED. you withdrew to your room, spoke only to the voices inside your headset. until the day you found your brother, never realizing just how low the both of you had reached. you don’t know how to handle your emotions –– you don’t know HOW TO DEAL with the idea of losing anyone else ––– you yell, you beg him not to do it again. it only makes the rest of your life harder. ( always worrying about leaving him alone with the monster… )

CHAPTER II

it was your father’s idea, and you know he only cared because it made him money. your online friends became an official team: PROJECT FREELANCER. he bought you all a massive house in the heart of austin and soon enough you were all sponsored and climbing to the top of the league. ( you felt like you were THE BEST IN THE WORLD )
