Cat AU

Kitty Fulgrim (white Turkish Van breed) once stumbled upon a scary looking engineer Ferrus. Ferrus, obliviously and surrendering to the power of a soft white fur and big pleading cat eyes, has spent a solid ten minutes just playing with Fulgrim and petting him. Little did he know that the damn cat took it as a sign that the man is his now and the proceeded to follow him home. Bastard is very demanding and very clingy, though not aggressive or cowardly of things such as vacuum cleaners and TV. Fulgrim tries eating Ferrus' food right from his plate, meows very loudly to get his attention and when Ferrus closed his door for the night, Fulgrim managed to open the door just to sleep on the man's chest. No, Ferrus doesn't have the heart to throw the cat out, so, looks like he is his owner now. He actually takes good care of Fulgrim, mostly because of how little the cat asks him too. And Ferrus would be lying if he said he doesn't like having Fulgrim purring in his lap while he is sorting out his e-mail.

Alternatively, cat Ferrus (gray British Shorthair) didn't even do anything to make Fulgrim fall in love with him. Ferrus was actually doing just fine as a stray, but looks like fate had other plans. If the above scenario with cat Fulgrim and human Ferrus was a classic work of "cat distribution system", then this was a classic case catnapping, because Fulgrim thought that such a gorgeous kitty simply can't be a stray! He shouldn't live on the streets and fight for survival! After Fulgrim verified that Ferrus didn't have an owner, wasn't listed as missing and didn't have a chip - the cat was basically up for the grabs. Fulgrim spoils Ferrus rotten. Buys him the most high quality food, and I'm not talking about canned cat food, I'm talking about the stuff you find in those "cat feeding ASMR". Sometimes even adds caviar in Ferrus' food, because his little one deserved the best. Fulgrim buys his cat all the toys he saw on the net or got recommend by his friends, buys him comfy bed to sleep on and even buys Ferrus cute outfits to dress him up! And while Ferrul loved the toys, he either sleeps in Fulgrim's bed or, worse, sleeps in a very unnatural position somewhere behind a shelf (in the process giving poor Fulgrim a heart attack because he thought Ferrus escaped). Oh, and the cat HATES dress up time. He hisses, cries and scratches at his owner who just wants to make his little kitten beautiful. Might as well mention that Ferrus also hates having his claws trimmed.
