For transparency's sake, I'm not discontinuing this blog. I'm just intensely tired, and will probably take intermittent breaks. Beyond the AI art scourge, Square Enix has sufficiently disappointed me to the point I'm considering adding another big game publisher to my list of companies I've boycott for a decade.

For me personally, it also feels very difficult to find others in the fandom who are here for the main reasons I am - theory-crafting, symbolism and a love of mechanical augmentations and their design. I occasionally participate in ships (Vacdam's my fave), but ultimately I'm very new to the idea of shipping and don't do it a lot. I'm a lore nerd.

That sucks so much. Ai art is everywhere. I understand your struggle. If you decide to stop or to continue this blog, anyway thank you for doing it all this time. Some of my posts only gained notes because you reblogged them. I like that that you exist :)

That's kind of you, but truly that's why I do this. This fandom produces wonderfully heartfelt content, things that have moved me and made me laugh. You've invested time and energy into this passion of yours. It deserves to be seen.

I hope you never stop creating, even if all you can manage is a doodle or a snippet of prose here or there.
