I'm still on my bullshit!

I found this song, uh, yesterday? And I've been listening to it on repeat ever since, and it just gives me such clones vibes that I spent the entire afternoon today translating it. I used a new dictionary (many thanks to @johamur for the links!) which made translating it significantly easier than the one I was using before, although since Mando'a has no word for surrender, I did have to get, uh, extremely creative with my meanings in the second verse XD I also reversed one line because it just... didn't make sense for the clones otherwise.

As always, any advice, feedback, and general linguistics flailing is more than welcome! (Though, please be gentle, I haven't gone over this as much as I should have, since I finished it in... three hours?)

I made a playlist for you,hope you would listen it. I aspire to be like you didi. I have always loved nepali literature especially chaanda kabita. But these past years i have been way to much indulged in English; i had forgotten the wonders of Nepali literature and that was until I saw your video on Youtube. It made me realize how much i have neglected Nepali literature and helped me return to my home. I wrote one poem in panchachamar chanda and it was the best feeling in the world. I found it very challenging to balance the words and vaab of the poem, also I would be much obliged if you share how you write poems and select words. I find it very difficult to write poems on varied topics so I always end up writing on simpler topic like ‘mero desh’ i am not saying that a topic determines the beauty of a poem, it’s just that i want to write about a lot of things rather than clinging on these topics.I wish you were my own sister and we would talk about books and poems. What a beautiful message! I am very happy that my videos helped you discover the musicality of Nepali language. As for the process of composing a poem in Chhanda is concerned, it does require us to have wide vocabulary. However, my process is more music based than word based. If you allow the melody of Chhanda to seep into you, the words will flow out. I only write when I am in the state of FLOW. Anything at all. I only write, when the ideas have fermented long enough in my mind to cascade into a well conceived thought in words. But that is the challenge with my kind of writing - to be so relaxed, so receptive, so meditative that you clear the pathways in your mind to let a thought go places without obstructing it with judgement or adjunctive analysis. It is not always easy to access it. And that is why I don't write as frequently.

: ) we all begin by writing about things that come easily to us. No harm in it. This is the process. For example, we learn by learning the alphabets and then we move into complex ideas. Complexity comes from the ability to process the simplest with ease and clarity and to gradually build up on the foundation of the multiple bases of simpler ideas. Truly mature idea is always as complex as it is simple. 'Mero Desh' is a good place. Remember everyone from Bal Krishna Sama to Devkota embraced the theme and produced some truly beautiful prose and poetry.

Literature, like everything artistic, is labor of love. It requires you to be patient and devoted. And surrendered to the whims of beloved. Her torments, her absence, her embrace - everything is desirable. You need not write great things every day. But you need to find time to read things that inspires you, every day, if only to keep the flame stoked. If you plant a seed, and keep the ground moist, germination is inevitable. These are the things I say to myself. Felt like sharing with you.

La conoscevo credo da almeno 25 anni.

Credo di ricordare tutti gli elementi importanti della sua carriera; le origini nobili così tanto sottolineate, la grande presenza in ogni show di Burberry (credo che Bailey la amasse davvero tanto),l’ADV di Burberry, l’uscita in Sposa per Atelier Versace, quando Gianni ancora regalava quelle emozioni puramente anni ‘90.

La guardavo tanto Stella. Ammiravo profondamente questo suo essere noGender quando ancora nessuno se la sognava una tale evoluzione.

La guardavo, ma ci rimanevo lontano. Erano altre quelle che mi emozionavano particolarmente. Ma comunque la guardavo.

E poi ieri la notizia. 

Sono ancora sotto shock...tanto sotto shock.                              E allora mi sono fatto delle domande. E credo di aver capito.

Forse Stella eri tu l’immagine di VENUS AS A BOY.                                      Forse senza saperlo ti avevo già trovata, capita, vissuta, interpretata.

Quando fondai VENUS AS A BOY nel 2015, ispirato da Bjiork e da questa associazione di concetti per me assolutamente stimolanti e autentici, passai molto tempo a cercare un volto, una musa, uomo o donna che sia. Qualcuno che rappresentasse perfettamente quella “mia” idea di VAAB...perchè la mia idea non era uguale a quelle egli altri; perchè nella mia idea si fondevano malinconia, introspezione e provocazione.

E non c’era un volto che mi raccontasse tutto questo; o forse c’era, ma io non lo notavo.

 Presuntuoso forse da dirsi, ma forse quel volto era il tuo Stella. Ed ora capisco perchè ieri senza un motivo apparente, ho sentito cosi tanta tristezza dentro me.

La mia Venere come un ragazzo è andata via.
