            Panicked eyes widened at her bloodied frame, hands urgently glowing along with the mark on his chest as he tried to heal her. He should’ve been there, he should’ve been looking out for her, she was his friend first and foremost. 

            he could see the wounds closing, the injuries healing, but her not waking up was still scaring him and he couldn't stand the thought of Colleen not being okay because of this. 

            “ Come on, Colleen. Don’t do this... you’re better than this, stronger than this, just wake up. For god’s sake, just be okay. ”

            “ M-Matt!? ”

            It had been months since Shadowland, no word, no mention, nothing. He knew Matt needed to be on his own, but he still couldn’t help but be worried about him at the same time. First and foremost, they were friends and allies, maybe Shadowland didn’t play out the way either of them wanted, but he still wanted Matt to be okay. 

            Danny stood on a familiar rooftop on the edge of Hell’s Kitchen, one Matt must’ve known was one of the unmarked buildings Danny had purchased under Rand’s name. Something like this shouldn’t shock him in his line of work, but still the look of confusion was evident along his face, didn’t help Matt could definitely sense how he was feeling. 

            “ Are you okay? I didn’t even know if you’d come back. ”

I doubt I’m going to live as long as you, just because I’m the Immortal Iron Fist doesn’t mean I’m actually immortal. Guess it just means I’ll have to make my peace with it until then. ”

            The heightened senses were still new to him, he liked to sit at night and see what he could sense, a trick he learned from Matt. The good thing was, he could hear Matt sneaking up on him now. 

            “ So, any point where you stop doing your sneaky thing or do you always run around trying to sneak up on everyone? ”

            Hand came to push the incoming fist out of the way, clear of his body as he ducked under a follow up attack with a smirk. She was the ONLY one he sparred with on a regular basis, also the only one he knew who could actually give him a run for his money in a straight fight. 

            “ C’mon, Colleen, ” he taunted through his growing smirk. “ Are you getting slower or am I just getting that good? ”
