MOST  ROMANTIC  LINES |still accepting|
It was difficult for Cheong-San to recall when he last actually laughed since Hyosen fell into ruin while the survivors here were struggling. They were having a difficult time especially since it was hard to tell who exactly could be trusted. He knew that the military could not be trusted since they wouldn’t hesitate to fire at them once they learned of their presence. It was unknown how things were going to go if any survivors, human and humbie alike were discovered.
After Sizhui found him inside the restaurant that once belonged to his parents, they slowly started to build a community for the survivors that needed a place to stay. For the survivors that couldn’t bring themselves to trust the military either. It was a difficult situation for all of them.
They have managed to find shelter. They have managed to bring a small community of people together. A group to rely on one another since there was no one else for them to turn to. It was because of Sizhui that this group was able to come together since he was the main reason why it existed in the first place.
The makeshift home was quiet after the small group of four had settled down for the night since it would keep them from bringing too much attention to themselves. They had to be cautious when it came to the power source that was being used since that would obviously bring attention to themselves. Attention from the wrong people depending on who decided to scout the surrounding streets that they continued to call home.
A snort escaped him while they both were laying on the makeshift bed because of the words that escaped from Sizhui’s lips. He thought that it was adorable. It was his cute nerdy side coming through.
“You’re adorable, Sizhui.”

Peace was a difficult thing to find because of the chaos that decided to make an appearance, chaos which was out of their control. It was nice though since it was needed because it was unknown what was going to happen next. Cheong-San was glad to see the smiles which rested across the faces of their daughter and Sizhui, smiles that were deserved.
Moments like this easily cause the teen to smile despite his own struggles he had to deal with, all because of what he has been turned into. The scar that rested against his arm was proof of that.
They would be happy, at least despite the fears and horrors that they faced already.
Fingers made their way through Sizhui’s long black hair wanting nothing more, but to turn it into a nice braid to help keep it out of his face. He had offered to cut it, but it seemed that he wanted to keep it like this for now which hopefully wasn’t going to get him in trouble. The braid would make it easier when traveling through these streets though.
“It always does, Sizhui.” Cheong-San obviously wouldn’t have been thrilled about him being hit on by another, he wasn’t a girl even if it was amusing. He would have voiced his thoughts about it to the one who did the flirting if the hambie had been there.
“He is pretty. You both are, Chi.” A chuckle escaped from him “I don’t think I will look good with long hair, it fits you better, A-Yuan.”

“I swear to you, that as long as I’m alive I won’t let a single soul ever harm you.” (for cheong-san)
Protective prompts |still accepting|
Cheong-San was well aware of how protective Sizhui could be, he always was even before the world that the two of them once knew fell apart. This was no longer the home that the both of them knew. The streets were empty. The streets were void of life besides the survivors, the bitten and the unbitten who were left to fend for themselves while it was difficult to find trustworthy people. It had become clear to them that the military could not be trusted while their friends had been brought to an area for the sake of quarantining themselves until they get the chance to return home.
It was unknown how long it was going to take before the people would come back to Hyosen if they were going to come back at all. For all that they know, this place was going to be left behind or if the people were going to return to make it liveable again. It brought up many unanswered questions.
Besides, Sizhui was working hard to learn more about his kind to help them deal with the struggles of the virus that ran through their veins now. It was unknown if this virus was for good or for worse. The medicine that he managed to create did have its benefits, it helped Cheong-San stay sound of mind despite there being times when he still struggled to keep those urges under control. When he still struggled to keep his thoughts from becoming a muddled mess.
It became clear to Cheong-San how protective Sizhui was going to be since they crossed paths again while he had been avoiding any survivors. He had been avoiding living out of fear that he might accidentally hurt them, but he was stubborn. Sizhui was the stubborn type after all.
He wasn’t surprised that Sizhui had vowed to protect him. He could understand why since the place that was once their home had fallen into ruin.
“I know, I don’t want to see you get hurt though. We can protect each other while trying to figure things out.”

Snowed In |still accepting|
The town had fallen silent after the virus unfortunately spread causing the town of Hyosen to fall into ruin while it was unknown what was going to happen next. The living and the bitten survivors had been separated for the time being. It was unknown how things were going to go once the people decided to move back to bring this place back to life. There were too many unknowns because of the dangers that still lingered.
There were too many dangers from the dead which still wandered, the living, and Cheong-San himself. He still had his concerns about being close to Sizhui like this, but his boyfriend was stubborn. His boyfriend refused to leave despite the concerns that he still had.
It was because of him and the medicine that managed to help deal with the urges to dig his teeth into something. His hunger was under control even though Cheong-San had to be careful since there was a chance it could come back without a second thought. Especially if he forgot to take his medicine.
Winter was here though. Winter was going to be cold while Cheong-San wanted to make sure that they would have everything they needed, mainly that Sizhui did. The cold weather was going to bother him more than Cheong-San would.
It seemed that a blizzard was going to appear though. A blizzard that would barricade the two until the snow decided to melt or if they were able to find another way out into the streets.
Cheong-San had Sizhui tucked against his side after gathering as much blankets and other fabric as he could to make sure that he wasn’t going to suffer from the cold. He didn’t know if he could help keep him warm, but he was going to try.
“Are you okay, Sizhui?”

Cheong-San knew that Sizhui wasn’t fond of traveling this far out from the home that the two managed to create together after Hyosan fell into ruin. They could rely on each other though through these difficult times. The two had gone out to go gather items that they managed to come across to bring back to their apartment complex which was waiting for their return. Another dreaded storm that decided to make an appearance because of the spring season that lingered above their shoulders, storms that he sadly no longer loved because of the noise that followed. That dreaded thunder.
He was grateful for those headphones though. Cheong-San never liked it when that loud crash of thunder filled the air causing nothing, but pain to linger in his ears because of his sensitive hearing. Loud noises bothered him, noises that could easily cause him to wither in pain with his hands clutching at his ears until those headphones came. The cause behind it was unknown knowing that Sizhui wasn’t going to use him as a test subject, he had made that clear to him after they crossed paths in the restaurant that once belonged to his parents.
With a nod, he moved to sit down allowing Sizhui to place that blanket over him bringing a familiar comfort to rest against his shoulders. It was true that he was no longer bothered by the cold or even the heat, but he would never say no to a blanket. Cheong-San just needed a bit of time to rest before they would continue the trip of gathering items. Unless Sizhui decided that it was best to return home.
Leaning into that familiar touch, he did close his eyes taking in the comfort that Sizhui was giving him. A comfort that Cheong-San loved “You can talk. I like hearing your voice.”

This wasn’t the life that Cheong-San never expected to share with Sizhui, but the situation was unavoidable causing the streets to fall silent. All because of a simple bite that belonged to a rodent while no one truly knew how this virus actually came to light, but there was a chance Sizhui would be able to figure it out. He was the reason why these survivors including himself were safe even though he had kept his distance at first. The teen was afraid to approach him because of what he had been turned into, but it was Sizhui who grabbed him back to the place that became their home.
A place which slowly came to life because of the other survivors who were invited to live underneath the roof. Survivors of any kind who found it difficult to trust the military after everything that happened here. Trust could be a difficult thing to hold onto though while he was grateful because of the bond that he did have with his boyfriend. Sizhui made things a little bit better, but there were days when they did have their struggles.
Struggles which most likely weren’t going to end anytime soon since they only had each other to rely on while making sure that this place would stay safe. It would be up to them to protect the people and the family that they managed to create. A family which his parents unfortunately would not be able to meet while Cheong-San had no idea what happened to his father. He ended up running into his mother while trying to escape the school, but he had no idea what happened to her. Was she still wandering around? Did she fall to the bomb?
That was a question he was unable to answer, it was unknown if he would be able to get those answers at all.
“Hmn?” A pair of familiar arms wrapped around the hambie pulling his gaze away from the book which rested between his fingers. One of the many books he managed to find while exploring through the wreckage of the abandoned buildings “Finished with your research already?”

Fingers gently moved to cover the wounds that he had received because of the fool who decided to wave their weapon around. It annoyed Cheong-San because Sizhui and the children were innocent, they were playing a simple game. He knew that Sizhui would never hesitate to protect anyone especially with the ones who were in this community they managed to create. The hambie could understand his anger though because of the situation, he just hoped that he would be able to calm him down. He didn’t want him to get hurt worse knowing that it would take a bit of time for him to recover from these wounds.
Cheong-San just wanted him to sit and rest until he felt like he would stand on his feet without any problems. They could find the man later if they are able to come across them again.
“I know that you want you, but you could get hurt again.” Making sure that the bandage wasn’t too tight, he moved to close the kit that Sizhui had made by his own hands “I don’t know, maybe they thought the people here were a threat or thought everyone was a hambie. We might need to figure out something to keep them safe.”

The hambie found himself sitting on the makeshift bed of their home while the familiar sounds of the keyboard echoing through the air. He knew that the work Sizhui was doing was important. He didn’t know how to describe how he was feeling at the moment, but it felt like something was off. Lee Cheong-San couldn’t find the words that lingered against the tip of his tongue “I... I don’t know.”
Shaking his head, he glanced up at him “No, no one said anything. Everyone has been nice to me.” The new arrivals have been kind since they arrived at their home, he hasn’t had any problems with them while Cheong-San wanted to make sure that they were all comfortable. It was up to him and Sizhui to make sure that they felt safe here because of the outside threat. There were people who could not be trusted.
Cheong-San leaned into the familiar touch that rested against his skin knowing that Sizhui was making sure he was okay. It was difficult for him to tell his own temperature now since Gwi-Nam’s teeth sunk into his arm that day. The bully who caused him to turn into one of the many hambies that lived among these ruined streets. “It could be the meds, I just feel off for some reason. I don’t feel like myself.”

After being bitten by Gwi-nam, Cheong-San ended up waking up covered in ash because of the explosion that filled the air. He had survived, but became what was considered a humbie like the others who had turned like he had. v: To live as a humbie

The situation that surrounded them now wasn’t ideal because of everything that happened, they were just trying to survive. Sizhui was a person who didn’t hesitate to risk everything to save the ones in the small group that grew over time. A group that was filled with human and hambies. They all would easily agree that he was the type of person who could lead them through the struggles that the were now facing.
Cheong-San knew that he could do this.
The injuries that the teenager bore soon turned into the scars, scars that reflected what had happened to him on Sizhui. A healed bite, an unseeing eye which was received from Gwi-Nam. A sign that showed who was his soulmate after they were able to cross paths, after they had met in that hospital. They needed someone though, someone like Sizhui.
He had their trust.
The one-eyed hambie knew that they would need a place that was safe from the remaining dangers which continued to linger in these streets. Sizhui was right though, the water wasn’t safe for them to drink and getting food wasn’t going to be easy as well. They needed shelter, they needed a place that wasn’t a disaster while his soulmate had good points about what the group needed to do next. “I’m sure that we can find something, there has to be a building that hasn’t been too affected by the bomb.” Cheong-San thought that his soulmate was the best choice to lead them, to give them some type of direction because of the struggles that the would have to face. He doubted that he truly had the skills to lead anyone despite what he did to help his school friends “We will help where we can. How far is the building?”
Shifting to gather the things that belonged to him, he tilted his head toward Sizhui “I know, I wouldn’t make you leave anyone behind. I doubt that I could talk you out of it even if I tried.” Cheong-San wasn’t going to make Sizhui change who he was, he wanted to help people without a second thought. It had been that way since before everything happened because of the dead that started to wander the streets. “I know we can even if it will be difficult.” A gentle smile graced his lips “You won’t be alone, I’ll help where I can, Sizhui.”

"Oh no you DON'T." (Lol this one fits for them )
Oh no you don't |still accepting|
The world that the survivors were now apart of brought plenty of changes along with it, changes that Cheong-San was well-aware of. There were plenty of changes that surrounded them which started with the people quickly spreading to the streets, this place was no longer filled with life. It became an empty void while it was unknown if there was a chance to have things turn back to normal.
It quickly became a fight for survival as the virus started to plague the town that the teen once called home, could it even still be considered a home? An answer that Cheong-San did not have, but there was one thing that he did have when it came to the ones who were important to him. The ones that had survived.
Sizhui had thankfully survived the fear and panic of the unknown, fear and panic that caused everything to fall apart. It took away everything they knew, it took away everything that Cheong-San knew.
The scar which rested on his arm served as a reminder on what happened to him in that construction site with Gwi-Nam, a reminder that was never going to go away. He was one of the living dead, could be even be considered human anymore? It seemed that Sizhui was willing to accept him either way though, he made it quite clear about those feelings which remained. Feelings which didn't disappear for either one of them, he couldn't but be afraid since he didn't want to hurt Sizhui.
That was the last thing that Cheong-San wanted to do.
He didn't know where the idea came from, but it was just a theory as he had gotten better control of who he was now. That included some of the abilities that came with him being a hambie, he was still learning though. There was plenty for him to learn which was why he wondered if this was possible despite the risk that was involved. A risk that Sizhui would not be thrilled about if he discovered what Cheong-San was trying to. Maybe it could bring an advantage to the situation that they were in, he was willing to try at least.
Would he be able to make the jump to the other building? Would he be able to make it with Sizhui on his back if the situation came for them to escape from the dangers that surrounded him? He wouldn't know until he tried.
There was a shift of his feet, he was about to try until that familiar hand grasped the back of his collar tightly. He knew that he was in trouble... Big trouble
"Sizhui.... I was just going to try, it's not that far of a jump..."

"I'm okay..." ( lol who know what he got into this time )
Covered in blood |still accepting|
Cheong-San was patiently waiting at their home as the threat of the military presence was what kept him put for the sake of his boyfriend. He knew that the military could not be trusted because of the decision that was made which caused the broken windows and the burnt buildings that surrounded them. The place was he once referred to as home was not the home that the teenager had grown up in, it was different now. It was always going to be different now because of the changes that came with it, changes that lingered in the form of a scar which rested against his arm. A scar that wasn't going to disappear anytime soon, it was always going to be there for the rest of his life.
He made sure that their bed was ready for when he was going to return, he wanted to go out and a gather a few things to bring back. He normally would have gone with him, but it just wasn't safe because of the military that made that appearance. He knew that Sizhui would be cautious while wandering around those streets besides he wouldn't be alone. A loyal dog stood by his side which was a relief on Cheong-San's part.
Of course, the sight that would return to him was something that the hambie was not expecting. It was the smell of blood that told him something was wrong though. A smell he was able to pick up on even before that familiar door came swinging open.
Hands were quick to rest against Sizhui's arms looking for any signs that he was injured, he didn't want him hurt whether it be by human or by something that could easily be seen as a monster.
A small breath escaped from him "What happened?"

@cxrpe-nxctum liked for a starter!
The taste of ash was the first thing that Cheong-san noticed as he pulled himself up from the pit of bodies that rested underneath him, everything was quiet though. Too quiet for his liking. He couldn’t help, but cough to try and get that ashy taste out of his mouth while trying to get his bearings straight. He probably looked like a complete mess remembering that a bomb had gone off, one that was a reason for all this ash and destruction. How did he survive though?
It seemed that luck was on his side even after the pain that lingered in his arm because of Gwi-nam. Had he chance? Was he the same person? Cheong-san didn’t know.
The one thing that he did know was that he needed to get rid of the ash that lingered on his clothes, he hated the way that it felt. He desperately needed a shower, it was going to be a long walk back to anywhere that was safe. If there was still a safe place left. The now humbie needed to be careful to find someplace where he could lie low for the time being, maybe he could reach his apartment? Cheong-san was going to try.
He wanted out of this place. This was not the place for him to stay, who knows what would be waiting for him around here?
It took a few minutes before he was able to escape that pit seeing that the entire floor was empty, he didn’t even hear the sounds of any dead walking around. Was it safe here? It had to be with how quiet it was, but Cheong-san still wasn’t going to take any chances. He just needed to find the right direction to get back to the streets.
A small breath escaped from the bitten teenager before starting the long hike back to the town that was once home, a place that most likely was no longer. He couldn’t even tell you how long he had been buried underneath that ash, an answer that would never be figured out. How long had it actually been since the announcement came for everyone to take cover? Were his friends okay?
He didn’t know, something that he most likely would never be able to figure out. He could only hope that they had survived after pulling that horde away from them so they could escape, so they could live.

‘ what will make you feel better? ’ // for Cheong San && Nam Ra //
Caring for sick muses |still accepting|
It was a question that Cheong-San didn’t know how to answer, he doubted that he would be able to find that answer. How could he feel better after everything that happened? How could he after those teeth sunk into his arm?
An unseeing eye. A scarred bite rested against his skin. Memories that he was unable to escape from.
The teenager wasn’t the only one who had to deal with the traumatic memories from the moment those fearful screams filled the school. From the moment that the first bitten appeared in that classroom, appeared in the hallways of the place that once was Hyosen High School.Trauma that most likely no one was going to get over anytime soon whether they were still human or one of the many humbies that called these empty streets home. Something that Cheong-San had been turned into, the virus didn’t make him into one of the mindless wandering dead.
He was still aware. He was still able to think and feel everything that a regular human could. Would they even still be considered human?
Cheong-San did not know. There were too many unknowns out there for everyone that had survived before the fire and ash filled the air. Ash that he had woken up covered in surrounded by the bodies that had fallen into a pit.
It was Nam-Ra who found him though while he spent most of those months by himself because of the fear that lingered over him. He was afraid that he might hurt someone, afraid that he might hurt one of his friends if they ever cross paths again. Afraid that he might hurt someone who had been effected by the virus. She was someone he could trust though, she was someone who could help him deal with what he was now.
She knew how it felt to have those teeth sink into you.
Resting his head back against the wall, he closed his eyes not knowing how to respond. Not knowing what to say, this was the only thing he could think of what to say
“I don’t know...”

@battleguqin liked for a starter!
Cheong-San might as well had a lingering sign over his head whenever it came to finding anything among the ruined streets. He was the one who brought the young shiba puppy home, a puppy that he was able to surprise Sizhui with. It was how they were able to gain another addition underneath the roof that they called home, a home he was glad to have. It gave him some sort of belonging after he lost everything that he knew so far, things that he most likely would never be able to get back.
His mother was gone, it was unknown what happened to his father. His home was gone, his humanity was gone. He was a humbie, a person who had been changed because of the virus that threatened the streets. A virus that changed everyone who called Hyosen home, it would be difficult to actually continue calling this place home. That was he thought, at least but it wasn’t like Cheong-San could actually go somewhere else though. He easily could cause anyone who was aware of what happened to panic, a panic that most likely was still there from the ones who lingered inside a camp. A camp that he would never be able to step foot in because of what he was, he just hoped that the rest of his friends were okay. Friends that hadn’t been turned like he was. Friends that he had truly yet to see besides Nam-Ra.
Friends that Cheong-San did not want to hurt despite how he was better. Better at controlling those urges.
It seemed that today was going to be one where he would be bringing someone else home, he would be bringing back home a young child that was wandering around the streets. He couldn’t leave her there though, she was by herself. It wasn’t hard for the teen to see that she was afraid, he could see it in her shoulders. A light smile graced his lips while he did kneel down to make himself less scary, he didn’t want to scare here anymore then she already was. Cheong-San was able to gain her trust though before he picked her up with the promise to get her somewhere safe.
He just hoped that Sizhui wasn’t going to panic about him suddenly bringing the young girl to their home, a child who obviously would not be able to fend for herself. He could protect her though, he could protect both of them.
