Loki grimaced on the subject of Valkyrie's strong opinions. He hadn't exactly made a great impression upon her in the short space of time he had known her before death claimed him. He respected her, even somewhat liked her — she was a Valkyrie —but he had crossed lines and he had brought death upon their people. He was lucky Thor vouched for him at all.
He couldn't help a small, guilty smile about the play. Planning celebrations was something he very much enjoyed. Perhaps he would invite Strange. He'd definitely consider inviting Stark. Loki doubted he'd want to miss a party.
With a raised eyebrow, Loki rose and followed his brother. "Am I going to like these people?"
“She has strong opinions on your return, Valkyrie,” Thor added, “she was here and she watched how your… passing affected me,” the thousands of mead gallons were still kept in the royal cellar, “I think I convinced her that your return is valuable,” the best thing that has happened to Thor in the last five years or so. “She has the best intentions and she cares about me,” it was more than caring: Valkyrie had witnessed how recent losses shook Thor to his core and threatened to steal him from her – someone who had rescued her and given her new reason to live and to fight - but Loki didn’t need to know that yet, “and she promised to keep an eye on you. If you ever plan to leave again, do it in a way she won’t notice.”
Thor nodded, amused. “You know how to plan a spectacle better than I do; invite Stephen to join us if you will. I liked the small bits I watched of the play about your death in Svartalfheim. Really touching,” he added.
“And,” Thor was back on his feet, gesturing at Loki to follow him to his cabin, “there are some people I want you to meet.”
